Followed Budgie since their first gig here Plymouth UK 1971 at Van Dyke club.....Burke Shelleys passing this January has been a sad blow..!! Those first five albums with Tony Bourge on guitar....stand forever.....!!!!!!!
Why did I not know about this band as a teenager and was stuck with listening to April Wine and Loverboy for new bands. And that was not quiet cutting the mustard whenever I was looking for something along the lines of Black Sabbath, Ted Nugent, early Aerosmith. Budgie would have filled my needs so much better. Oh well, better late than never.
HIYA im an old ? eh? well i suppose im a bit crumbly at 55! heeehee . any way i digrese ... ALL of them get everything ! you wont be disapointed ? rule of thubm " the older the better although POWER SUPPLY is newer and heavy as f;;;';k .. enjoy mate lol..
@@yogiguitar1 I enjoyed Rush especially moving pictures and Grace Under Pressure albums but those would not be released until later in my teen years. Rush was sometimes too clinical sounding and did not have the grungy raw garage rocking aggressive sound that I enjoy and some of their music just does not do it for me such as the song Time stand still.
Gorgeous. God bless you Burke.
The best band ever...Thanks guys for some incredibly awesome memories ❤
