I came on here to make fun of her to be honest. I read what she was saying...I left with tears of pride. Thank you for making me feel alive again.
I really loved the way she tried to reach out across party lines, shared her aspirations for the wider NZ community and outlined her legislative priorities. Great to see someone so accomplished with a wealth of life experience and knowledge outside of politics being elected to parliament.
I’m not native nor from New Zealand, I’m Lebanese, but as a human being I felt her speech down through my spine. That speech was so powerful and emotional that I felt goosebumps on my body. As a woman, I applaud her courage and standing up for her community.

The residencial schools had beaten fear into them. When they taught us anything it was always with the admonishment of keeping it a secret.
