To see the haka performed so well by the whole team (Māori, Pacifika, European), and then to receive affirmation from across the world is such a credit to our Women. Most of the Māori women in the team have been nurtured in our Maori culture - it 100% makes a difference to the delivery - and even the content. Wow... Lots of respect for these youngsters who are demonstrating their traditional roots. Well this act resembles me similar to "Maa Kali", while both the Haka and Maa Kali's act involve movements and expressions that convey power and intensity.
The Haka is a traditional dance form of the Māori people of New Zealand. It is performed by a group of people with vigorous movements and stamping of the feet with rhythmically shouted accompaniment . The Haka is often performed to welcome distinguished guests, or to acknowledge great achievements, occasions, or funerals. Maa Kali is a Hindu goddess who is considered to be the goddess of time, change, power, and destruction of evil.

@Conburgundyy they beat Australia
It's been long since I last saw Haka, I thought it started trending and losing a bit of meaning, but this brought me back. beautiful contrast between the welcoming and the warrior part of it, seeing women psyching themselves up, breathing hard with eyes bulging with anticipation, sends chills down the spine of grown men. I saw my wife deliver our children and I recognized the war face, that same adrenaline and survival instinct in the face of unimaginable pain. Long live the female of the species. Without them, nothing.
wow... I've got chills... they're multiplying... and I'm losing control... 'cause the power you're supplying... it's *_electrifying_*
The first three ladies were really in the presence of their ancestors! I literally had goosebumps! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Seeing this really makes me emotional. It’s beautiful, scary and so in tune with one another.
It was powerful and beautiful. Actually first women’s Haka I’ve ever seen. I loved the expressions and unison and singing voices. Also loved that it was a clearly multicultural team. Bravo!
I respect the opponents team for giving respect to this
literally cried watching this/ the haka is such a beautiful and humbling experience to have such a challenge layed before one's feet.
Goosebumps!!! This one makes me so proud. 😍
Me too even if i am german
This is amazing beyond description... Well done!
A haka always gets me emotional, I don't know why... And I am PRECISELY from the opposite side of the world

This was definitely Arihiana Marino-Tauhinu's best. I always enjoy when she's one of the leaders for the Chiefs.

Im on maternity at 6 weeks, its midnight in South Africa 21/12/2022 and im grazing through youtube viewing the haka at weddings, schools, airports, funerals...and now about to search its history, meaning and the role that women in particular play in it. Absolutely fascinating

Awesome to watch. Never get tired watching the haka. I just love the strength it inspires.😊

Jesus, there was such a finesse to it, but you felt like they would kill you in two seconds. One of the best Hakas I’ve ever seen.
You are all incredibly inspirational this moved me and thats what Haka is, thank you.

Right up there with Tana’s Kapa O’Pango vs the Boks.
❤
This brought me to tears too, it evoked that part in me, of ancestral history and the oppressive struggles. Regal are these ladies.
Sry to hear you‘ve got the oppressions. Wish you a quick recovery.
@@sebastianradlmeier8922 Thank you for your lovely message, the heartfelt compassion is felt. It is nothing in comparison to what Palestinians undergo. To me personally while it is a commonality to face this with transgressors of the day, what is as akin to the white phosphorus chemical agent is when someone comes close with declarative oaths and is the Janus faced with the aim to extirpate. My life will forever be one with discriminations but I am content in being in my hermitage with the memory of my late cats environing me. You're very kind, I have been bludgeoned to death through words alone, and in my lifetime I was physically pinned too by the rotundus wheels that I viewed as a bulldozer all because I stood to defend our plot. Thank you so much for your empathy, with the salve of your words kind one, it does pin a smile to the sullenness. May you be an attainer of the irenic, with its peace Sebastian. In Kindness, Yasmin.

The first lady stepped out to welcome the Aussie team we maori call it "Karanga" the first voice you hear when on marae.
It’s definitely a huge advantage for the kiwis against the opposition to perform the Haka before every single game .
The war dance was to pump up the adrenaline and not just put the fear in the enemy.
It’s awesome to witness and I’m not a kiwi
I wish other cultures still had their traditions because then they could reply and then bam fair
@@emptysoul5057 I don't know if the English rugby team following it up with a Morris dance would have quite the same effect.
@@mirandahotspring4019 I wish they would this whole give up tradition for homogeneous modernity is sad in a way culture don't revive once they die usually
@@emptysoul5057 I'm not sure what you meant by that, but the Maori culture is alive and very strong in New Zealand. Practically every high school has a Kapa Haka team and many have their own school marae.
@@mirandahotspring4019 they're doing great I mean European culture and in America it seems people don't really have anything to do with their own cultures any more we just put it all under western white and call it all the same but idk the non Maori team probably had a traditional dance from their culture but it's gone out of style and been mostly forgottoten by now I guess

The were 17-0 down to Australia in that game and the came back to win it. That started their RWC 2021 campaign which ended in NZL beating England 34-31 in final. The Black Ferns are the greatest women team to ever play the game. My favourite Stacey Fluhler (Waaka) played a match winning game scoring an excellent try and setting up the match winning try. Only really big people can play it. Probably the least inclusive game I'm the world.
