Well, American Indians have a different culture to the Maori. The reason for NZ having it so different is the extent the Maori have been involved in the founding of the nation unlike in the case of the U.S.A over its long history.

As Malay Singaporean, I'm so proud of you. Not only are we related by way of blood and language, we are also bonded by the fact that both of our peoples have become a minority in our own homelands.
Your culture survives well. It has much more ground than the Maori. Despite that, the Maori have succeeded. Many got off the bus and pushed. It's time for Irish people to sit down and actually think if they genuinely care for their history or aren't willing to get involved to preserve it like their forefathers. You have a lot less to travel compared to the Scots.
"this isnt my moment this is yours. everytime u hear my voice it will echo of my anchestors. everytime u look me in the eyes u will see the children that survived. over the next 3 years u will see history rewrite itself without a pen." is a strong message for such a great conclusion, u go girl 🫡

I can't believe how lucky I am to live in a beautiful country like New Zealand AND to witness the beauty of this culture and language. I have looked at many religions and all have something to offer. But the Maori ways are so simple, so caring, strong, spiritual, connected, sustainable and unifying.

Foreigners and maoris , what gives?
nothing. It is just we people also have the culture of mantras and wry cries I mean it is not displayed in parliaments often but we relate. Cheers 🍺🍺@@williamconnell6541
But most of the Bengali people forgot their native language and running behind Hindi... Need to find our root and attach to it.

I had to shed a tear listening to the vibrant youthful Maori lady .It’s refreshing to see that her generation is keeping up with the traditions & culture .

Then make sure you always vote, dear, mrembo Kenyan!! God bless Kenya.
Exactly, I wish we such mps here in Kenya
Today I'm thankful for social media. I wouldn't have known about such a beautiful culture. Her courage, enthusiasm, and optimism are glaring. I wish her the absolute best. Let me go watch Moana again 🥲
I can't believe how lucky I am to live in a beautiful country like New Zealand AND to witness the beauty of this culture and language. I have looked at many religions and all have something to offer.
But the Maori ways are so simple, so caring, strong, spiritual, connected, sustainable and unifying.
well support
Her speech later on the part in English is amazing as well, I hope people don’t stop watching after the haka is done!
Who are you girl am so proud of you crying and appreciating you 💘 from Nagaland here
I’m not from New Zealand, but extremely inspired by her speech the world could learn a lot from here this why MPs are elected
To those who waited for centuries to sing your song and speak your language. I first heard, it is authentic and utterly beautiful. I am deeply moved and in tears that i feel your struggle and pain. Thank you for putting this Young Lady on the Map.
My God, U hammered in on..❤

Love from india..... She love her culture.. Proud of her indentity ❤❤❤
I feel always astonished when I see a different tradition, language, nation, from mine, it makes me feel rich in my humanity, bcz I realize that God created us different and this is the beauty and peak of his creation.
I truely appreciated this young lady who raise her voice in the right platform..... God be with you my child.
I'm already her big fan! Incredible charisma and intelligence! Real, authentic cultural messages! She is an example for every young person in the world!❤❤❤
It’s wonderful to enjoy words, but cruel to give false hope to ignorant children who know little. If you are sincere in your thoughts and wishes, then please get the farnow of the couch and in to a job to start paying for all this nonsense
@@user-uz7of5sc2q Dude, what is Cruel? 😂That the Maori are in their own home? In that some Englishmen have come to their land and are now telling them what they have the right to do and what not? Believe me, anywhere else in the world they would have been kicked out long ago!
I am not able to understand what she is saying but the expression on her face and the way she is singing with pride gave me goosebumps. I have seen it more than 20 times but still I like it.
What great frequencies coming from just one being!!!! I’m engulfed in you and your presence!

Beautiful. What a speech. And the grace shown by other parliamentarians in welcoming her with open arms. The exuberance shown by her supporters in the visitors gallery and the patience exhibited by the speaker is exemplary and worth emulating.
As a Tamilian, her war cry brings tears in my eyes.
For those of us who don't speak it, what did she say??

What a beautiful speech, and waiata. Can't wait to see how much change for good she brings throughout her career xxx
You mean young naive activist abusing her privileged political position to grandstand. Amazed she wasn't part of the green filth party, she fits the demographics.

Instead of denying who you are, take drugs and undergo surgical mutilations to be who you want to be or who you think you are, have the courage own who you are and manifest your true self❤

She unapologetically embraces her culture. Wish we could all be so proud of our roots.

Protect your language, heritage, culture, customs, language because it is the most beautiful thing in this world to hear that you still maintain the essence despite everything and all those who want and impose this world to be uniform and the same. The differences are wonderful, your language and song is something especially wonderful to hear. Stay strong as you are, big greetings from Croatia.
