- After Daymond John makes Nezar Akeel a $500,000 offer for his portable exercise equipment company MAXPRO, Nezar doesn't reply immediately, and as time goes on, Daymond grows frustrated that he's not getting a reply. And when Nezar starts answering Mark Cuban's questions, Daymond has had enough. From 'Shark Tank' season 13, episode 9. Watch 'Shark Tank' FRIDAYS 8/7c on ABC. Stream on Hulu.
Mark really is the big fish in the tank. Even at this level there are still levels to this.

He is the big fish but doesn’t know how to run the mavs franchise. I’m a big mavs fan. It’s amazing how here in the shark tank he ask so many valuable questions. Yet players in the mavs wouldn’t even be role players in other teams 🥺 Powell like dude wouldn’t start anywhere else. Bullock can’t make a 3 to save his life. We have Seth away for nothing because we had Vegas bob 🤡
Dont be easily fooled by visual things
Always levels on levels
The reason Mark is such a seasoned investor is because he genuinely hires the right people and I've heard from some previous testimonies of Shark Tank businesses that, even if Mark isn't directly engaging with their business' operations, he always puts the owners in touch with his team and gives them their direct line for questions/needs.

I can’t stand when Sharks get mad that people want to hear all possible offers. This is an incredible opportunity for business owners, and to rush a deal would be bad business, and should be a sign that the person takes their potential business dealings seriously.
Its actually not a one way road right so when people are selling their businesses on the other hand sharks are buying them and if a company is valuable enough and they feel the risk of losing it they obviously have to play it off and moreover one of the biggest abilities of an entrepreneur is making snap decisions....
@@Zelinsky14 Yeah. It’s fear of loss 101. I can’t stand it in this context. It’s not a healthy way to start a business partnership, but to each their own.

Not really. The biggest thing for people to keep in mind is that the Shark Tank isn't the only place where investors are. Everyone acts as if they MUST get a deal here, even when they're given garbage offers. If you can't walk away from a negotiation, then it's not a negotiation, it's pleading.

Daymund: *offers 500k*
Mark “Bruce Wayne” Cuban: That’s a lot of money…for you 😎
How can a successful multi- millionaire/billionaire business man have such “thin skin” ?
Easy, because they're always surrounded by ordinary--non rich and "yes people," (brown-nosers, staff, etc.) working for them.
It’s just a tactic to try make them fold and accept their offer
Poor Daymond.. I feel bad that the other sharks were hounding and he never got an answer.
When Richard Branson poured that water on Mark, I knew he was a different breed. If you’ve seen it, notice how no one else would’ve even dared to do that. No one could pour water on him and get away with it as a friendly joke, other than Richard Branson in that room.
He did Daymond dirty. lol
Daymond doesn't know how to do the Mr. Wonderful "did I just become more valuable". Kevin understands his value increases when the other sharks finish with their offers and they either aren't good or the sharks mostly go out.
I'd be so happy if from the get-go people going on this show said I'm hearing all offers and answering all questions and working with whatever and whoever is left at the end without a shred of regret for any offers that were immediately backed out of. Daymond is just saving face anyway for the guy who would have worked for Mark over him for the same offer
A better way to handle that would have been "Mr Daymond I appreciate your offer. Out of respect to the other sharks I would like to hear them out as well." Don't burn bridges.

I think it’s interesting how they expect you to make quick decisions and not ask questions about your life’s work in a business deal. I would never do business with any of these guys. The connection doesn’t seem genuine no matter how much money they could make me.
The show is edited down from around an hour or so of actual discussion with the entrepreneurs, so presumably a lot of smaller financial details unrelated to any offers from the sharks is discussed during those cut sections. The show just focuses on the key elements of the presentation and the sharks' responses.

Because Mark is not the only shark up there and is not an expert on everything. Daymond would have knocked his company out of the park with his strong manufacturing and the fact that he's invested in 6 CrossFit gyms which is 6 more than Mark Cuban. Kissing Mark's ass because he has the most money out of all the sharks doesn't mean shit if he doesn't know how to help you.
