@@salmanjama3260 Equity is the percentage of the company as a whole. Value of the company can go up or down depending on if business is going well or not. For example, 20% of apple is worth a lot more now than it did back when it was first started.
So lori paid 500,000 for 15% share of the company meaning she thinks the company is worth about 3.3 million you count the whole 100%. Her goal as a partner is now to make the company worth more than 3.3 million, so if she decides to sell some of her shares she gets extra money, lets says if the company is worth 20 million in 5-10 years, her 15% share is now worth about 3 million. its basically buying stocks, but with higher stakes. The company right now is worth a million so her value is actually decreased.
This guy deserves the praise and honor. Saving the planet and thinking for the next generation is what we need right now. Everyone got blinded by what is it right now without thinking the future. Edible utensils are more expensive than the usual plastic, correct if you think the now. Think of it like your paying more for the sake of your future than to pay less then let your kids suffer on their future. You know what investment right sharks?
Exactly. One must think of both the explicit costs and implied costs, and not just the monetary costs, but also the cost of our oceans, land, air, soil, and planet-- which are priceless. You are not really paying more for this edible cutlery when you think about the damage horrible plastic does in both producing plastic and disposing of it, yuck.
and it may be pricey today but in the future it may cheaper to produce vs plastic. the world is pushing for a more green utilisation, supermarkets are slowly shifting away from plastic grocery bags to fabric/cotton grocery bags. adding 11c combined with an edible product like a small tub of ice cream or frozen yogurt for example is nothing and will only push their product even further combing this edible utensil. Kevin along with the other sharks not appreciating its real value in all honesty was extremely short sighted, though I do agree with Mark in terms of coming in with not much wiggle room for the investors but this is a product the world knows what it needs but doesn't know it yet.
I absolutely agree. Plastic cutlery is literally the worst. Every time I get one through food deliveries I try to reuse it because each time i throw it in the dustbin it feels wrong.

Mark is always respectful to authentic entrepreneurs, he never belittles them and often provide on point advised to help make their business better, whether or not he’s investing

@@doyouunderstandthis When Dinesh pitched Incredible Eats to the sharks, he valued the company at $7 million. However, Lori ended up investing $500k at a $6 million valuation. Due to dwindling sales, the net worth of Incredible Eats has seen a downtrend since then and today stands at just $2 million.
The best thing about Lori that always gives me good feelings, is that she have designed a system that even the hard products that need educating customer is not a question to her because (in my mind) she has a balance between taking care of the business and monatery part, and the things that are needed in this world.
The spark in his eyes, enthusiasm and the aura around him will take him places. His purpose is just not only to make money out of it but to give back something to this planet.
At the very least, I now grasp the concept of leverage. Creating wealth and financial freedom isn't as tough as many people believe. Building wealth and remaining financially stable indefinitely is a lot easier with the appropriate information. Participating in financial programs and products is the only true approach to make a high income and remain affluent indefinitely.
Most people simply enter the foreign exchange market without comprehending matters like this. The first stage in building money is determining your goals and risk tolerance, which you may do on your own or with the assistance of a financial counselor who works with a verified Finance agency. And also you can learn the facts about saving and investing and create a clear plan, you should be able to acquire financial security over time and enjoy the benefits of income management.
That is why I work with John Desmond Heppolette, who introduced me to a better Financial community, a verified agency where I learned how money works and how to create it, as well as free books, courses, and daily lectures. You also get to meet new people, which was the best decision I ever made.
Yeah, that guy is one asset manager that gives the breakdown of everything on how things are done, joining an effective financial community can be 100% beneficial when joined properly that's all I can say out of experience
I've been making more than six figures passively investing with John Desmond Heppolette, who showed me the right community to join and grow mv finances and I don't have to do much work. It doesn't matter if the market is crashing, I will always make returns.
This information is valuable. I quickly searched his name and his website appeared instantly, showcasing his impressive qualifications. Thank you for sharing.
I don’t get Barbara’s logic. Are restaurants really going to complain about changing their prices from $5.00 to $5.15 when they get to serve a unique and memorable spoon to their customers, leaving them wanting to come back for more?
So true! And some restaurants are already starting to charge for plastic utensils on takeaway. Make it a “either way it’s 20 cents for utensils” and the buyer can choose plastic or this product. No brainer!
No because they will charge you 6 total and gain almost a buck over 15 cents they paid for a spoon. And people will take it to "save the planet" or even just the experience.
Mark backed out because he knew lori offered a better deal and he we all know he doesn't like to be rejected. so he had to be the first one to back out of the deal before dinesh rejects the offer.

This model can go from just spoons and forks to plates and bowls really quickly. You can easily market this to people going camping or going away from there home for awhile and actually even your everyday person might just buy it too to save time rather than cleaning up all the time. I hope this takes off.
Right? I was thinking I would totally buy it if available in nearby stores at least once! He can get more people to try and buy these than just businesses!
Edible cutlery is very much available in Malaysia and has been there for quite some time. The cafeteria chain "Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf" in Malaysia offers edible straws and other cutlery along with their food, and I guess their top competitor offers the same as well.

I had one of these spoons in Germany at a vegan ice cream shop, they’re very good and makes you feel better not wasting plastic. Nuts that the sharks were so hard on him, but this is literally the future of restaurant eating.
I have watched shark tank intermittently since season 1. One thing I can clearly see, the sharks as investors have matured a lot as seasoned investors who clearly know what they wanted and understand the mentality and work personality of the entrepreneur.
We were in Sydney, Australia recently and noticed that the ice cream shops were using edible spoons. I thought it was part of their brand. I didn’t realize there was a bigger environmental impact to the edible spoons! Very cool product!

Honestly, this is incredible! One of the biggest barriers I face when trying to convince people to ditch plastic is the convenience factor; reusable cutlery needs to be cleaned after use and carried with you. A lot of my friends don't find it worth the trouble. Having an option that's not only biodegradable, but edible!? Genius!!
As someone who uses plantable seed pens, cardboard toothbrush, combs, earbuds, bags and minimum products made of plastic, I would definitely buy this and would love to see more and more restaurants use eco friendly cutlery. Something like this should be globalized. Great initiative. 👍🌲🌎

@@veenakamat7390that’s so disappointed:( I wanted to see this guy take over the world.
@@veenakamat7390Do you happen to know why?
Why?
@@Old-Boy_BEbop Well said. ; )
I absolutely agree. Plastic cutlery is literally the worst. Every time I get one through food deliveries I try to reuse it because each time i throw it in the dustbin it feels wrong.

The absolute excitement on this entrepreneurs face is so inspiring. He’s making me excited about his product. I would pay extra for environmentally friendly products that saves on plastic.
I'm surprised they didn't mentioned mutliple BIG chains already switched to paper straws and literally everyone HATES paper straws. A tasteless edible straw could be much better.
Bro I hate paper straws! Went to the movies bought icee all they had was paper straws I had to grab 4 of them, it sucks 😔
No one likes wet paper taste and feel. Edible on the other hand with flavors to compliment the food could be a good alternative
Paper straws pollute more since you need twice the size of container space to move them around. 🤡
@@1b0o0 paper degrades rather quickly tho

So true! And some restaurants are already starting to charge for plastic utensils on takeaway. Make it a “either way it’s 20 cents for utensils” and the buyer can choose plastic or this product. No brainer!
