This watch is a good example of how Rolex and AP are overpriced and overhyped. It’s refreshing to be able to actually walk into an AD and buy a watch. Also the size is perfect and me and my wife we are able to share this piece 😉
After months of watching this video at least once a week, I’ve finally bought the Cartier Santos Medium after trying it on at the AD today. I had feared it might be too sporty and large but it’s perfect - elegant and thin, yet still sporty enough for daily wear. It’s amazing. Next stop, the Cartier Tank Solarbeat!
I stumbled upon this video while doing my own stalking of the Santos. I picked mine up earlier this week. Also went with the medium for my 7" wrist. Thanks for the great content!
My favorite detail of the Santos is the second markers and how they are perfectly spaced and angled to match with the seconds hand as it travels around the dial. 😍
Wow! Great video ! Just brought mine home today and finally ended my stalking excursion- looked up how to change the bands and found you ! So glad- you are a great reviewer !
I went through almost the same process before getting mine. Except the part about not caring about watch brand/reference history. That’s always a major thing to know and with the Santos... the history is absolutely amazing.
Love that you made this review video. I, too, love my medium Santos for all the reasons you laid out. Storied history aside, it is beautiful, so well made, user friendly, and (importantly) very comfortable. What I've come to realize is that it is quite possibly the most adept at dressing up and down of any watch I've owned. We all know that Cartier watches are among the "classiest" out there, and always go well with a suit or more formal attire. But the Santos is equally at home when wearing a t-shirt and jeans, which makes it love it all the more. Congrats on yours!
@@peter5310 I have found the polished part of the bezel to pick up quite a few scratches. Mine certainly has. And to be honest, I love it. Sure, the first 2-3 are alarming, but after that the watch just begins to take on a character of its own. Evidence of a life lived! The bracelet and other satin/brushed surfaces haven't really picked up any damage or wear. In general, this is a watch that I expected to enjoy as it wore in, and I have.
I congratulate you! Cool and most importantly charismatic watch, also began to look in the direction of this model, they are very comfortable and extremely stylish!
Congratulation on your new Santos, I remember I watched your Santos Blue years back and finally went and bought the White, with a date *_* haha got a Dealer discount it was the same price and the medium ( you can't say no!) and again best of luck with your channel and stay safe! SANTOS SUNDAY !
Glad this popped up in my recommendations. I'm in the market for a new watch and there's a Cartier dealer near me so I'm gonna have to check it out! Great video!
After watching this video since two years I managed to gift it for my birthday loving this watch simple elegant love the history goes well with any attire.. I have a 6.5inch wrist hugs my wrist well easy adjusting links love the bracelet for the price tag this is a must for any watch enthusiast.. videos helped me a lot.. better to see it in person and decide on a large or a medium.. glad I pulled the trigger on this beauty I own the AP Ro Rolex dj2 omega sea master 300 but this has more wrist time than the rest.. you never go wrong with a santos 👍🏻thanks mate for the beautiful review it makes it easier to choose what to buy

I watch stalked the Rolex Day Date for years. Was so happy when I finally was able to buy one. Like you, it’s about quality and what it means to me. Great video! Would love to see you make a video about the Rolex day date. 🙏🏻
This medium santos is the perfect fit for my wrist. can't afford one now because i'm a student but i hope to buy it when i start working. great choice!
I just pulled the trigger today and got this exact watch. I agree with your take on it being at the same level as the trinity. Your video captures the whole essence of the watch and it all made sense to me after holding/wearing it in person.
I took my time making a choice for my first watch. I bought a large blue WSSA0013. I've owned it for one year and I'm still very happy to own it. No other watch is as versatile I own multiple croc straps can wear It with anything.
I really like the fact that you don't need any tool to adjust the bracelet, but they really need to have fine adjustment to get the perfect fit. Otherwise, it is a beautiful piece and thanks for sharing!
Well, I tried one on at my AD today and he offered me a very generous discount. Going to think about it for the next day but I have a feeling I have a shipment at my door this week :) Pictures and video simply do not do this watch justice. It's absolutely stunning in person, exceeded my expectations. So many intricate features that you can stare at all dare.

Love it. It's badass. Will be my first luxury dress watch. Have a nice...one ... diver. Daily wear. Could see wearing the Santos 2/3 days a week. Casual or dress. Great video.
I just subscribed to your channel. Very impressed by the quality of the production. I am retiring next year and going to buy one in Greece (i live in UK). If you buy one in Kos, where VAT or sales tax is 17%, and you live outside the EU, you can claim the sales tax back at the airport. Thats a refund of £900 off retail....

Big congrats to this watch! I can really relate to your journey and enjoyment as I'm still in the run for this piece. Great presentation, as always! All the best from Germany.
Exactly my thoughts! The first time I saw this watch was in your video about the Santos Blue Dial. I immediately fell in love with the design. This did not happen to me with the royal oak or the nautilus. I always felt like the design if this newer Santos was kind of superior to these two legacys and can easily be compared. It has screws on the bezel like the royal oak and looks just as industrial. It also has a slim and curved profile and looks even more elegant then the nautilus. If all these watches would have the same price tag, I would always go for the cartier. I'm glad I did :-) I own the Santos Blue dial since 2 months now. The santos loves me as much as I love the Santos, it wears perfectly on my 6.7 inch wrist. Also: the horizontal diameter of the large santos is actually 38mm! But it wears easily like a 42mm. But because auf the slim and curved design, also people with much smaller wrists can wear it with no regrets.
Strongly disagree that it wears like a 42mm. The dial is still tiny despite the square bezel surroundings and to the eye it wears very small. I have an Omega Seamaster which is 42mm and it absolutely dwarfes the santos medium!
Absolutely agree. I’m normally annoyed by the “it’s too large, need to be under 40mm” crowd. But in the santos’s case the watch clearly look better small. I believe each watch’s design has their own perfect size and for the santos it’s definitely the medium one.
Completely agree. I have had the chance of meeting a friend who owns the large one and somehow it doesn't feel right... It's as if the large watch case is not suited to the thin bracelet. This medium one however looks classy. If I buy a Santos I will definitely get it in Medium.
Ugh it looks so good 😍

Just bought one of these and I’m sooooo excited. I love this watch.
