Don't know how to get one in "Castlevania Symphony of the Night"? All you have to do is defeat schmoos in Inverted Library until one of them drops your brand new Crissaegrim. It's good to have Ring of Arcana and Alucart items equipped while doing so. - Ігри

That weapon is so powerful, the moment you get it, it might as well just cut to Dracula’s death and the end credits. You’ve won. The game stands no chance anymore. Haha
I don’t know why they even included this weapon. Got it on a random drop. I suck at games but I busted my ass on SOTN, and this weapon took away any accomplishment of finishing the game.

Some trick will make him the bigest joke in the game.
Every time I played this game, I'd breeze through it. Until...I saw that first Shmoo. It was the first time I'd ever farmed anything in any game, and was it worth it. Best weapon in Castlevania history.
I found the crissagrim early on, quite by accident. Never equipped it because the damage was lower than my current sword. Didn't realize how fast it was
You're lucky. When I got to the inverted castle I made a beeline to the library (hoping there'd be a librarian with new inventory) and it dropped from the first Schmoo I killed. The description of "multiple blades slash enemy" was too intriguing to resist, and once I saw what it did I never took it off. Made the whole game way too easy.
I went most of the game with this inventory…had no idea it was rare drop…there was two of them…. Grins*
Yeah that sword changed the dynamics of the game, complete game changer.

Love it, it's so satisfying how it just slice enemies through. There was a version I played in which it was called "valmanway" btw

@@nwogeistmagier9425 I have the Valmanway in my New Game + on AoS (Top Reward in Boss Rush) & I'm a bit disappointed it seems nerfed compared to SoTN so I use the Claimh Solais more. But that sentiment may change as I level up.

True. I'm not a big fan of it though 😛 IMO Crissaegrim still wins in terms of visual effectiveness and how fast it cuts through hordes of enemies 😎

This was by far the best weapon in the game. Definitely worth farming for.
If you want to beat Galamoth easily, use the shield rod and the Alucard shield, active the spell, and touch Galamoth with the shield. His power will drain quickly.
This trick make Galamoth become the biggest joke in the game LITERALLY.

Yeah, me too. But that's what makes him so amazing! :D When I fought him the first time (without Crissaegrim), he was the most difficult boss for me. Anyway he's still ten times harder than Dracula's final form.

Powodzenia :D Powiem szczerze, że raz to miałem wyposażone nawet DWA Ring of Arcana i oczywiście itemki Alucarta. Pomimo faktu wykonania powyższego zabiegu, około 50 minut schmoosów musiałem tłuc, żeby w końcu zdobyć Crissaegrima! No oszaleć można, ale jak widać - warto :D
1) best mobility : you can hit while running
2) best power : 3 hits at once for better impact
3) best protection : not only it has the best damage per second, it also protects alucard because the blade covers him from his head to his feet.
4) best range : the range is insane
Any objections? Yes. Four words: Alucard Shield, Shield Rod. That is the most broken combo in the entire game.
yup, was just gonna point out that item combo, its actually insane.
You can equip the Crissaegrim after using shield rod so you get the best of both worlds, not very useful, but an option

Oh yeah. After doing a bit of level grinding in the inverted clock rooms, Al becomes a God of Destruction with the blade.
This is the most awesome weapon in the gaming world.
I remember getting it really early into my run and it practically ruined it for me. I thought it was a normal drop people would acquire until I was told that I got extremely lucky. It's fun, but I got a lot more enjoyment out of the game my next few playthroughs.
Man, crissagrim is very cool but a full blood fed Muramasa is way more powerful

Then you equip a second crissaegrim, and it really just makes there no point in playing anymore.
I mean if you figure out how the shield rod works when you get it and test it with every subsequent shield you find you'll inevitably stumble upon the best weapon in the game. When you can naturally find the most broken combo anything else is shits and giggles
yeah but who actually spends the time to absorb that much blood to power it up?
once you have that sword. the game is just over. you'll definitely win every encounter easy.

Yeah, I know. I just wanted to demonstrate the power of a single Crissaegrim.
Unfortunately I got this weapon my very first playthrough and it totally broke the game. I killed pretty much all bosses on first try.

The bosses are easy to begin with. I played others castlevania and died many times by the hands of the bosses. In SOTN not a single boss killed me.
You're quite right, though I remember dying once or twice fighting Doppelganger on my first playthrough. Possibly Galamoth got me too, before I knew about the Beryl Circlet trick.

I use the Vorpal Blade, the weaker cousin to insane effect.
The game is much more satisfying without literally walking through enemies like they're nothing

I still prefer the Shield Rod and the Alucard Shield. Drops Dracula in about 3 seconds. Max damage on every frame❤️🤘

I just got the crissaegrim and legit all I can say is I wish I got it early in the reverse castle before pursuing bosses so I can see how long it’d take me to kill em

I don't hate criss, but button smashing Square & Circle hinders me pressing jump. But then my friend taught me that I should configure left/right weapon to left/right triggers(darksoul style). after that, oh boy, it feels like juggling haha.

Still child's play compared the the rune sword. Bonus points if you got both weapons, not even Galamoth would stand a chance against you at that point.

He was the boss in Kid Dracula game. Where you were a kid Dracula and he was very strong
When u get that sword, u already beat the game... i tried in my second time use a cheat to use it from the start but didn't work, but if u use the code to max luck and the trick to keep alucard equipment it's easy enough to get there and claim the sword...
3:20 how can you absorb lightning and lowers Galamoth defense that much at the same time?, that's weird 🤔.
Hmm, not sure about lowering his defense (tbh, every enemy's defense is low when faced with Crissaegrim 😅), but in case of lightning absorption, search for tips on finding Beryl Circlet in the inverted castle 😁👍

I remember I thought I knew power when I was playing and got the Ring of Varda drop. Then on another playthrough I got the Crissaegrim and from then on I swore I would never complete this game without having 2 Rings of Varda, a Crissaegrim and a Fist of Tulkas. I put two Crissaegrims on once like one wasn't bad enough. The damage was INSANE!!!!

I beat death in under 5 seconds with 2 crissagrims and every boss matter of fact and Dracula the weapon shouldn’t be that powerful!!! When you beat every boss in game in like 3-5 seconds something is wrong but they’re god like swords ⚔️
And to think!!! Playing this game back in '98.... just replaying AGGGGGAAAIINNNN though the game, was still trying to find the way out of the castle! (Now I kno that's only done by glitch!😠😡🤬) I just came across this sword by the randumb drop!
Years later I shen internet was EVERYWHERE and not just dial up and expensive! You could find out Schmoo was the dropper!
This sword breaks the game honestly.
Once ur in upside down castle... ur state are high enough that where the 4 quick attacks.... it wipes anything out.
This sword and the golden knight guys in the upside down clock area are a QUICK and EASY way to jump ur level and stats FAST! That's how I got my swordFamiliar up to where you could equip him!
Once i used double crisaegrim, double ring of varda on lvl 70 lol killed dracula in 5 seconds

People _really_ shouldn't be glorifying this weapon.
Well, I've always seen this weapon as a sort of bonus/fun item players aren't supposed to get on their first playthrough. Because let's be honest: how many people got Crissaegrim without knowing about it (and how to get it) beforehand? Probably less than 1% of the players.
And why shouldn't we glorify such a crazy tool of mass destruction? It's one of a kind in the whole game - one of the most unique weapons.
Just to be clear, I'm not encouraging anyone to use it as a standard way of dealing with enemies.
I got crissaegrim on random drop on first playthrough. I didn't know it was a rare weapon until I looked it up much later.
Hilarious that the stupidest weapon in the game can be obtained from a random loot drop.
😒that looks cool but I don't feel like using i prefer something rewarding like muramasa
