I found another trick on mobile, idk if it works on ps1, saturn, or psp, but what I did was I entered the room with death and as soon as I could see the room I immediately went back out so that the music stopped playing. Afterwards I'd usually wait about 2 minutes (usually I would kill monsters and lvl up a few times) then when I came back to the room with death, he didn't show up and I kept all of my equipment.
This last playthrough I just walked in and scooted back out and then scooted into and through the room. Music stopped til I hit the save room. No slogra/Gambon. Psp version running on vita via adrenaline.
I just walked in and out of the room quickly. This will work with any version. Make sure to save at the first save point. Everything normal from here on.
You can also backdash while lvl up in a specific frame of the last wolf to skip death looking for a explicative video on it as good as this on it but can't find it
Correct, Note that level up just replaces Heart Refresh. It is the very same trick, using same frames/position (this trick is not frame perfect too). Thats why I focused on Reverse Shift using HR and then I show at 5:40 that you can use level up instead of HR. I will add this to a future video, because you are not the first to point it out, but everything you need you can see in this video. Start by doing the HR trick and then replace it with level up using spell, neutron bomb or monster vial. :)
Hello again Paulo. It came out 2 times after many attempts since you have to be very exact with the location and movements of Alucard. Although I still can't perform this same Glitch using only the Neutron Bomb, as you show in the link you gave me. But this Glitch for the SOTN version of Saturn is great and that you shared it via video, since I thought that the only way to keep the initial team while avoiding death in Saturn was to be boosted by the direwolf in lucky mode. Now I see that no, there are many variants. And the coolest thing about this Glitch is that you can quickly level up many levels by eliminating enemies in the Underground Garden. i think i got lucky. i got killed on a new save after getting the cutscene and when i came back to the room death didnt appear to take my items. i didnt have a save and im playing on ps5
I've been using the backdash since I first played it on the psx. Just hit triangle like a devil when entering Death's room and you'll backdash to the previous one without triggering Death's sequence
Hello, Carlos. That trick does not work on playstation and saturn versions (the main focus of the channel and the video). The backdash trick works on PSP version.
The easiest way, it's worked for me, is to just walk in the room death is in and quickly backshift out. If done correctly, the music will stop playing. When you walk back in, Death will not be there and you keep your items and play on. Music will resume after you save game.
When I try the big toss method (luck mode) there are extra blocks that prevent alucard from flying past death. These blocks are not present in your video. I am using the ps1 USA version of the game. Can't figure out why my game has these extra blocks?
This is very strange because I did it using ps1 US version in the video.. Doing bigtoss is not enough. It makes an upward movement that can cause Alucard to end up in Death's room. You need to find a position that makes him fly as low as possible. Try to make him touch the slope during the flight (i did it at 5:55). Note: this glitch is very easy. Maybe you can record and upload your attempts?

Não fiz testes pesados em relação a isso ainda, mas pixel perfect não é, pois existe um gap de espaço que com certeza é de no mínimo 2 pixels, e isso dá para constatar nesse vídeo mesmo onde faço a técnica em vários lugares. Coloque o vídeo em 3:55 e aguarde o início da técnica. Repare que nessa 1ª demonstração, pouco antes de usar o HR, a tela se move um pouquinho para a esquerda. Agora coloque em 4:25, dessa vez a tela não se move, ou seja, havia ainda espaço para uma pequena movimentação, e o truque ainda funcionar. Frame perfect significa basicamente que um comando deva ocorrer imediatamente após o outro ou em um determinado frame. Acho não ser o caso aqui, pois você pode vir andando de bem longe e pressionar o HR dentro daquela faixa de pixels que o truque funciona, e acredito que ele passe por essa faixa ao longo de mais de 1 frame, já que andando ele é lento. Existe um detalhe obscuro em relação à reverse shift que está no momento de sair da sala. Há vezes em que, mesmo fazendo corretamente o truque, ele pode falhar, principalmente se você tentar trocar de telas andando em vez de usar o backslide. No geral, é um truque fácil de fazer.

You can level up with any item (like Neutron Bomb) or spell. I did it with a spell in the second: 5:38 Works exactly the same as "Reverse Shift with Heart Refresh". Just replace the Heart Refresh with Level up. Its hard to do in the first try, so you can gain EXP and try again and again without reseting. Remember that you can start with only one Neutron Bomb (I used the bomb several times in the previous tricks). The tricks are all in the movie, but sure you can do more (like using a monster vial to kill an enemy and level up hahaha) and apply in another places (the room before Death for example) :)
Maybe someone asked this already but you didn’t reverse shift line with neutron bomb/level up to skip death? This is the trick used by speed runners today, heavily advertised by DragonBlitz.
Thats correct. The reverse shift with level up is the very same trick with HR, thats why I show just once that we can do reverse shift with level up (5:38). That trick in Merman room (5:38) is really good because it does not waste items and you can keep repeating after having no success (no Death dialogue there). BTW I will add the neutron bomb idea in a future video. :)
The name of the song is Vampire Killer Remix 1. It plays at the saturn exclusive area called Underground Garden. You can see it at 1:15. XBOX version is equal to PS, so you can do all tricks (except Saturn ones).
You don't need to position the warg for the one next to death's room, you can use the glitch from farther away to make you fly through the death room, which isn't 100% perfect, but easier to perform and still works 95% of the time without and positioning need besides get on the right of the warg when it attacks. I'm surprised that wasn't shown, it's very well known.
It is shown twice in the video (psx and saturn). Check 5:51. It is called big toss method and works with all 3 Wargs. The first Warg as you said is widelly used in speed runs. The 3rd one is better because you can pick up the meat in the slope before skiping Death. Note the saturn one is much harder and we use the 3rd Warg with the steps in the video, thats why I focused on it. :)
I like it very much. Except for the loads lol In my movie it runs slower due to recording tools. Saturn has no perfect emulation too. Note that i own a real saturn :)

You will walk to the left and use the Heart Refresh (HR) while walking and right before the screen starts to scroll horizontally. So.. you will cast the HR in the LAST position right before the camera starts moving to follow Alucard. The camera will not move at all. When the HR effect is near to the end hold the backdash button (triangle). Now try to exit the room. Doesn't work? Try again. I think you will get it working after about 10 tries. Then you can master it and apply in Entrance.

Does the death skip work on a non luck mode new file (I've seen on some tutorials that most involves luck mode and an already completed game file)
Clear file is not required at all. Luck mode lowers your DEF and is needed in tricks that require big toss.
