Plastic can absorb some of the solvent based wax and grease remover which can then react with the paint, you should have stipulated a water based cleaner.
Ohhh my bad. I thought you meant spraying the paint in a form of sand blasting. In that case I don’t think plastic can be sandblasted but a separate UA-cam video my give you that answer if it hasn’t been answer a year later 😂
use a light/medium primer, and sand down well. I find grey primer to be the best as it covers the black but also makes white pop more. or if you wanna be lazy, buy aircraft paint remover and start from scratch
Wow, you explained the process in-depth. 100% thumbs up. 👍🏼
why need to sand the original plastic surface?
@@Tko_Seven to increase the surface area so there's better adhesion.
Sand , primer 2 times (5 minutes apart )and wait 40 min, sand with 800, paint 3 times (15 minutes apart)and wait 40 minutes , clear cote 3 times (20 minites apart )
Do i need to have clear cote
@@Joox_02yes you have to if you don’t want it to look Matt and it also protects your paint because you can polish off the scratches on the clear coat
@@mr.fartypants5991 I bought and put clear cote and now it looks mate. I wanted it to look glassy black

Can the paint be sandblasted to the plastic ?
You mean powder coated?
No I mean blasted. I’m asking is it safe to sand it down to the plastic using glass beads or something instead of using sand paper.
