For the longest time, I have been hearing, "You need to get your fingers around the ball!", but nobody ever bothered to tell me exactly what that meant. This is a great explanation. Thanks for that. Finally, it makes sense!
I have seen a lot of videos trying to explain the motion to get a hook but no one is to clear like this because you explain perfectly how you hand and fingers has to be in the moment that you swing and release the ball to create those revs, maybe other thing you have to explain to very beginners is the how you have to approach to the line and motion your arm, hips and legs to create a solid release. Just a excellent video! :D
How much of a rotation of the hand around the ball are we talking about? I hear people talk about this, but whenever I watch bowling release videos, I find it pretty hard to detect.
Great teaching video, thank you. Am new to bowling & trying hard not to learn the wrong way so that I have to undo the damage later. Your are clear & understandable. Executing what you teach is the difficult part. Problem I've been having is when I throw the ball my wrist ends up on top & I'm sadly getting a lot of gutter balls. Any suggestions how to stop that from happening? I try to concentrate on the smart tips but my wrist has a mind of it's own.
Wanna hook it more? Get a rough 500 grit sandpaper and dull your ball. A scientific study concluded that the factor that most influcences a bowling ball hook is the ball surface. Number two is the amount of oil on the lanes. Also, the more expensive and heavier ball hooks easier. A slower ball velocity adds hook. So you can follow all these tutorials but there are shortcuts to hooking the ball.
@@tanjirokamado1205 not really 🙄 on a dry Lane yes you can get some back end. you will never get the proper spin hook roll. I've played plastic tournament. heavy oil. best just to go at an angle.

Nice 👍
You’re either good at bowling or good in bed. So I gotta start getting good at bowling
why do you put your leg so much sideways?
Demonstrated for throwing the ball with both left and right hand. You didn't demonstrate with the left hand how to curve the ball.
Standard size! You'd hafta to be Sasquatch to fit a house ball. 😂

how to play bowling in a wheelchair, you can make a video
dont rotate your damn fingers, that's going to give you pain, and hooking a plastic house ball aint happening🙄
U just need to find a ball that suits ur fingers and don’t grip too hard or u can just do two handed since u don’t need the thumb for it
U can hook a plastic house ball but u just need the rev rate and side rotation
