My wife and I are in our 50’s and have “officially” only been bowling for 2 years. We’ve talked to several pro’s and watched several hours / 100’s of videos of instruction, tips and tricks to improve our game. This video, by far, has been the best video that we have watched! You definitely have a gift for teaching and we hope that you’re able to keep putting out more great content like this while spending time with family and taking time off from the tour! Thank you!

It's been a real up and down year for me. On week I shot 770 and two days later shot 498. I took a lesson from a pretty good coach and got better, more consistent. I watched this video before my normal Sunday practice and it brought everything together. Thank you Michael.

The description about the elbow facing your target, and the rotation of the arm being like a "spring" and naturally pronating/supinating is some pretty high level secret sauce. Fantastic instructional video.

This video is EXACTLY what I have been searching for! I love the simple 3 concept approach, with one concept building on the other. I never properly understood the correct elbow orientation even though I have seen dozens of other videos attempting to explain it. Watched a bunch of bowling videos but this video is hands down the best one yet. The full breakdown of everything is so clear. Hope to improve my skills from this video as I just started transitioning from straight throw to hooking. Most amateurs shy away from hooking because they think they need to jam their fingers or mess up their wrist to hook the ball.

Awesome instructional video! You kept the explanation on target. Breaking the focus into small parts and then providing a great drill to bring it all back together really helped. There was no shortage of information delivered however, the importance of understanding your body in its anatomically natural positions, and then using that knowledge to achieve something without having to do unnecessary things such as over rotating upon release is so important. I think it’s great that you mentioned that. Looking forward to looking at and learning from the rest of your videos!

What a great video, I was having such a hard time being consistent in hitting my mark, especially on spares. I used your recommendation on dropping my shoulder and getting my head over the ball. Wow what a difference. I only missed two makable spares out of ten games today! Keeping my elbow next to my body also helped me with my release. Still working on keeping the fingers below the equator. This video had a great impact on my bowling and by far one of the best instructional videos I’ve ever watched. Thank you!

Excellent breakdown on how to create more power. I teach my students this drill all the time, and can't emphasize enough to do this drill as much as possible, to get that feeling on how to release properly with enough power. It's even something you can practice at how, just throw it on a matras with pillows at the end or in your backyard if you have grass or soft ground
