Man that view at 5:56 is incredible. Especially up here in the PNW, the American Rockies just don't get the love they deserve, imo. It's pretty incredible the summits and views that are available on a day hike.

Excited to be moving from Chicago to Colorado! Living at altitude + your marathon training plan = hopefully PR (and maybe BQ) at Chicago marathon!

I'm from Australia so I don't really understand how you can wear shorts and no gloves when there is snow 🤣

He is a mountain man. She's a mountain woman. You should see people here in the Appalachian mountains during the winter in shorts when it's only a gentle snow.

Any weather temp over freezing is basically summer clothes season in many parts of the USA lol. I'd melt in your part of the world.

At that altitude it can be surprisingly warm from the intensity of the sunshine. I was hiking Mt Evans a couple weeks ago with it completely clouded in. I was so hot most of the time I had to take off my fleece, my shoes were soaked from snow, but my feet weren’t cold, and I even got really sunburned.

These days the air temperature (even up that high walking on snow) can be well over 12C-15C + and under the sun it can actually feel quite warm. The snow melts of course....but there is so much of it (and it can get under 0 at night) that it also sticks around still!

Do you have the Insta360? Did you mount it on the Leki pole? Great adventure 👍

yeah an Insta 360 One X2 here....i have it on the pole it came with (I've found the pole mounts to be hard to use and the software doesn't dissolve them completely sometimes)

You do have 2 poles and you didn't give Sandi one, when crossing? You'll be punished at home :))
