Hi another great video you inspired me recently on one of your race Vlogs. I was suffering in a 12k trail Race in France because it was very hilly and humid 70%! I witnessed how hard you push yourself helped me get through it! 😉👊 ps I’ll take the Ciele hat and any trail shoes you don’t want I Uk 8.5 Neil
A quote I kept on my mirror for years is " find out where joy resides and give it a voice far beyond singing, for to miss the joy is to miss all."( Robert Louis Stevenson). I just got joy watching Henry sign thank you !
I've been following you for at least 5 years Seth & you're knocking it out of the park with your relaunching of videos (ps- I'm turning 70 this year & still love running 😇)
Not sure why I’ve been getting so emotional about these kinds of things recently, but the Andy’s tradition is so awesome to me. Has me tearing up. I remember when I was a sophomore in high school watching the channel before school at 5:00am every day and seeing the Andy’s tradition. It’s going to be something that those kids think about a lot when life moves forward.
Way to keep pushing and crushing it!! I’m 46 and keep chasing down running goals and have dropped time from last year. I keep going longer and can’t wait to see what will happen in the next couple of years!! Keep getting after it everyone!!
Practice doesn’t make perfect, but it does create something even more valuable for any athlete; PATIENCE! So Dewa and i did Yale the day after Trail Natz, but we did it via Denny Creek TH… now you’re amazing time makes a bit more sense…great job! Now we’re gonna have to go for that route! So many trails, so little time!…Patience!
Patience is key if you want to have longevity in running. I'm 51 and still getting faster! You will love those Rudy Project Spinshield Air's! They are my current favorite shades 😎! Congrats!
Congrats on FKT. 5 yrs. Ago did first 100 miler going back this year @Hennepin Hundred(not the sure footed mountain runner you are) looking to go faster. Thanks as always for the inspiration.
Four years ago I had my second knee surgery (the same knee). But at the time I was running 5k and 10k. I never thought I could run anymore. But here I am, 4 years after I have completed 5 half marathons and currently training for my first marathon!!!🎉
QD - going through that transition of being a regular Run-Walker to trying to trying to run longer distances, finding my actual pace is much faster being a run-walker, but the patience of knowing it’s a step to being faster overall!
Congratulations, Seth! Great mountain and trail, outstanding mastery of your foot strike. Onward to Italy. I’ve appreciably lost speed since turning 55 almost six years ago BUT, thanks to better training technique and more weights/strength development, my recovery time is reduced after bigger races from what it was a decade ago. I can still win my age bracket more than half the time, but there are fewer runners in that category so that’s mostly just vanity ;-) Emphasizing quality over quantity of time on feet.
Qd. I began running 4 years ago during Covid because I couldn't to to the Y for yoga, lifting and karate. So all of my gains have been in the last 4 years. First 5k. 10k. Half. Marathon. And now this year two mountain half's here in central PA.
QD: 5 years ago, I was just entering my first xc season in middle school. Hit a pr in the 2 mile of 13:21, and barely made the district team. Today, I’m at the top of my team going for the sub 10 2 mile and sub 16 5k
DGR Community - first trip to San Juan mountains in September! Any recommendations on moderate level trail runs? Will be staying in Ouray and Telluride but can drive. Looking for runs in the 7-10 mile range. #DGRstrong
I started running 10 years ago, at 36 years old. Barely any progress for the first 6 years... then I got *serious and really increased my training. Since then the results have been amazing 🙏🏼 Staying consistent and patient and stacking training blocks is sooooo worth it! I'm still getting faster
Hey Seth I've been watching your videos for a few years now and I'm a missionary in Beirut Lebanon. Let me know if you have any give aways soon. Bless you
years and years of patience... late start/late bloomer over here... only just now really getting into intervals, vo2max, threshold, etc. after years of building the aerobic engine/very polarized training (even w/ some chunks of down time and inactivity {life happens🤷♂}). the adaptations are sticking, the HR has been trending down and gains are being made. turning 36 in a few weeks... oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...
when people start cheering and applauding on trails, sometimes is think theyre doing it to point out they think im being silly and doing something stupid theyd never do. it just bugs me, especially when you get tot the top in the red
Started training 5 years ago at age 62 and am hoping to finally make it to my first marathon starting line next month. Numerous setbacks and PRs along the way--a benefit of having almost no PRs prior to age 62. 😉Patience! Best of luck in Italy! Onward & upward!

Amen Tyler....memories and tradition, big in my life. Appreciate you so much Tyler, never forget that.
Well done Seth! Age is a number! 48 here and still stacking up ultras…another 100 miler September 27! That sprint up at the beginning was crrrraaazyy!
Also…Hoka I race in your Speedgoats and would love them!!😂😂😎😎
Really? I am much slower now and instead I think I should play golf.
The music selection in the recent videos I think is very good; esp. when the music matches with drone shoots, perfect.

Yes!
These videos have been so fantastic, thanks Seth! Started running 4 years ago so I have progressed quite a bit!!
Great to hear!
Showing us that age is but a number. So inspiring Seth. Making me excited to get old and not dreading it haha

Went over to Strava. Thumbs up and left a note! Awesome!
Respect and thank you. Keep working toward those goals.
I know I’ve asked but haven’t seen a reply. Do you have the newest insta 360 go or older model? Really love the quality of it.
New one 👍🏻👍🏻

I’ve been watching for years, but what is FTK? Was it ever defined?
@@CChantim FKT = Fastest Known Time. It’s like an unofficial record. Not ratified by any authority. But nobody knows of any one who has run it faster.

How does one run up 18% grade?
