Last Patch on PC
October 2022
nuff said.
With PC you guys can mod right? But I agree R* still should support fixes.
mods haven't fixed the awfull flying controls and such as of now.
@@Gigidag77flying controls are better, you’re just bad tbh.
Even mobile version are better
@@amy-295yep they should port the mobile patches on consoles and pc what the fuck r*
Why would you willingly ever touch that garbage?
Just get the normal Trilogy. It has proper atmosphere and does not look like soulless slop
Yeah, you can find it on Rockstar's store front.
@@NebLleb who would pay for it especially to those greedy pricks milkstar.. you can download it anywhere..
what is the normal trilogy? is it on ps5?
@@NebLleb no it's not, just checked Rockstar's website and it takes you to steam and amazon where it says "currently unavailable"
Lucky I still have SA on Steam
@@Joseonhangukeo351 No. These jackasses that recommend "just getting the normal trilogy" fail to understand that you either need original hardware (PS2/OG Xbox), or you need to have bought the original trilogy on Steam. The problem with that, is that Rockstar pulled the OG trilogy from all storefronts when the definitive edition came out.
The game is well worth it for me. I'm not fussed about the graphics and didn't experience the bugs that others did. I just wanted my childhood games in one place and portable, which I got for Nintendo Switch. I know I might be the odd one out for saying it, but it's worth it for me.
Yeah, but they are fucking overpriced on steam...
I think it was we’ll worth it
I bought the trilogy on Xbox just for GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. They're definitely worth it. I also got it because i couldn't get the original trilogy at the time.
Agreed the issues never stopped me from playing I actually beat San Andreas before any updates
I'm good. I'm either playing my ps2 or better yet emulating them with better frame rate.
the netflix version is just way better, it has exclusive fixes that were plaguing these games since the 10th anniversary releases. Pls cover it as you would be surprised to see that Video Games Deluxe did things that were never intended by GSG. The super sprint(sprint faster by repeatedly tapping) and the original bicycle controls are back. The awful lack of lighting in cutscenes is now fixed. Swimming speed and physics have been restored. All in all if these fixes made their way to the PC version, then it will be a worthwhile experience. However even after that it would not be worth the full price though.
Only one problem though, the Netflix version is only available for mobile devices 😢
I never bought the definitive edition I still have the original trilogy
@@Chicken_Wing91 lucky! Hope you enjoy them:)
The game can be bought??😂🤡
@@therealniel_xxiii it was until the defective edition came out. Enjoy your bugs i’ll enjoy playing the real thing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
what is the original trilogy
@@Joseonhangukeo351 it was just a port of the ps2 trilogy box set. And really the only bug it has on the ps4 is playing vice city the police radio and taxi radio are distorted
I like it on switch. There’s some bugs here and there but luckily the auto save feature makes it a bit more bearable.
I bought it before the first patch on Switch and that was borderline unplayable. First patch was a massive improvement.
Thanks for the info. They're half off on steam so I think I might pick it up. I've been playing San Andreas on my phone lately and it's been taking me back to when I was a kid lol
@@dominikblack8943 worth it i think, you might experience some glitches though:) good luck if you buy it, hope you enjoy the game😊
Great video! I actually went back to play it recently and definitely still suffers from various bugs and glitches, I was expecting the game to be significantly better off by now, heh.
@@FiatLuxSayRelax thank you so much and thanks for watching! Sucks the game hasnt been fixed much
No need to apologize about your mic or anything this video is very well made. You got a new subscriber here
@@cameronrobinson3933 really appreciate that, thank you so much🙏 even better gta video up soon:)
Yoooo after 4 weeks he is back!
@@Beyond386 yk it lol
Worst thing for each remastered game:
GTA III - Still never fixed the Portland gangs trying to massacre Claude, especially from the Leone family.
GTA Vice City - Cars move way too fast, like every vehicle is on 2x speed.
GTA San Andreas - Lack of clouds, dust and haze in the air makes the map look way too small.
facts
Remember that damage control post rockstar made saying that they know they messed up and promis to bring it to the standards fans expect... unfortunately rockstar can get away with anything because their new games are at a quality beyond industry standards, but its extremely disappointing that they lied to us and its also disappointing that people are quick to forget and move on.
This is why we shouldn't support GTA VI at all. But of course, no one will learn their lesson and people will buy the game anyway.
@@Travis371 that's the main hope for these "next gen" consoles, and we've waited over 10 years for it. I'm not missing out on that game because of these crappy gta "remasters". Its unfortunate but it's a complicated situation.
Glad your video got recommended. I have subscribed. Thank you
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed have a good day!
Concluding: MODDERS made remaster! Grooveshit made shit as always, Rockstar released it and for non single second they wasn't even thinking about proper fixing this. 🤷♂️
Playing GTA 3 definitive edition now. I'm pretty satisfied so far. I've have played the original and my only complaint are the missing flying leaves and posters.
Nice I agree. The zombie Elvis posters lol
I downloaded up san andreas for free on Playstation store. I enjoyed it. Gonna try to get 100 percent
I legit even forgot theses versions exist, not to mention i 100% GTA 3,vice city, san Andreas and even Liberty city stories and vice city stories on a PS2 i recieved as a gift (had to fix some things thought) some months ago, so even if theses versions were actually good...guess no point in buying them at all.
Got it with a sale and I think I am good. Playing it on PS5 and honestly, didn't face major issues that could interrupt my gameplay. I absolutely cherish the memories and embrace the new gen one! 😊
I know im the only to think this but the only thing that i hated was how the definitive editions ruined san andreas but i didnt have any problem with vice city and gta 3 definitive editions and before i get hate i have played the originals for a long time but the 3d parts to vice city and 3 was janky even then which is why i played the the definitve editions more. But to this day i play both and keep playing the og san andreas.
@@videogamemadness1582 wont get hate from me, i agree tbh i think vice city and 3 arent too bad
From December to January I platinumed all 3 and ended up with a total of 331 hours in all 3 and enjoyed pretty much every minute of it. Defo worth it imo
I just want the original console versions, with 4k resolution, pop ins eliminated, a thoughtful but not excessive render distance increase and both classic and modern control options.
That's it. I like the original art style and effects and hate to see it replaced in the remastered edition.
One of my favorite recent remasters was that old PC game Star Wars: Dark Forces. They did redo the textures but it was such a faithful recreation that you can't tell unless you go back and look at the old game side by side. None of the original vibe was lost. The remaster is like playing the game through nostalgia goggles which is EXACTLY how a remaster should be in my opinion.
under rated video
@@PlayPulse5 thanks legend🙏
The games always been fine to me completed san all the way through never experienced a bug the graphics are basically the same but that’s good because it feels like the OG games if it had gta 5 graphics it would have just completely ruined the feel of the games but it feels and plays the exact same as the OGs and that’s a good thing, the environment graphics are a lot better then the OGS and it’s cystal clear 4k
Honestly, my biggest problem aside from the bugs and glitches was how they ruined the Atmosphere especially gta san Andreas
@@ChevRonDun1924 completely agree
My first 3D Open World game wasn’t GTA3, it was Zelda Ocarina of Time on Nintendo 64. Then I played Shenmue on Sega Dreamcast. Both games were out before GTA3. And if you want to talk open worlds with cars, let’s not forget Driver.
Driver was theee shit...2 was a blast, also.
I used to load up Shenmue just to shoot pool
Well if your gonna be that way, mine was Body Harvest which came out before Ocarina Of Time and has a 3D open world with drivable vehicles and on foot gun play. It was developed by the team that would become Rockstar.
@@LV09XGAMES Good Ol’ Body Harvest. Sad that that game flopped.
For me I perfer the original over the defective edition because supply lines is the worst mission ever in San Andreas and for me rockstar games should’ve remake it from scratch.
Gta trilogy (2000s disc version) played on Xbox 360. Amazing.
One thing I hate is that they patched out some of the OG bugs that I remember like the car crusher one with a passenger in the car
Played through the OGs recently since I still have them on Steam. Immediately followed them up with their respective DE versions. And DE is significantly better. And I grew up with the OGs.
I’m so glad I developed the ability to not only ignore nostalgia but embrace progression and change. So many people just miserably hating for no reason. The OGs have so many of their own issues.
You can still buy keys for the original trilogy for steam
When Definitive Editions for Mafia games got released, they didn't remove the originals from stores.
Also they are infinitely better than GTA Trilogy Defective Edition
7:13 What also makes these versions so bad too and didn't make it any easier for the dev team is the fact that they were a port of a port of a port, the original games were made with RenderWare
but eventually they wanted to remaster these games for Mobile phones and Xbox 360 at some point which used Unity instead of RenderWare which caused many many various issues from the Engine change and broke many things as is, and to add more to that these new versions from what I've heard (can't confirm) were using the awful Unity remaster ports instead from Mobile and Xbox 360, which I'm sure didn't help whatsoever and only caused more issues to the botched Defective edition-
but again it's been awhile since I saw and heard about this so I could be wrong about some parts (this could be just GTA SA only as well but I wouldn't doubt the others had this treatment too) but I believe that is what happened-
and having this small team with this short amount of time was definitely an impossible task for 3 botched games-
Nah, Unity had never been used to be a base engine for GTA 3D. Maybe they had that in their minds or tried some closed alpha versions but that's it
@@ArchiWorldRuS ah, well they either used that or RAGE
one or the other but those HD ports and definitive editions are awful all around
Rockstar didn't have the rights to RenderWare when they wanted to make an HD port, so the games were botched without it
@@kornweed it was renderware for mobile versions too. Iirc, they weren't allowed to make new games with it but ports of already released games were allowed
@@ArchiWorldRuS the Mobile and Xbox 360 ports are not using RenderWare, EA took the rights to RenderWare in 2008 from criterion games and RenderWare hasn't been used for many games since then
this is for GTA San Andreas, and that HD port was in 2014 for the 10th anniversary for GTA San Andreas
I don't know about 3 or Vice city so well-
@@kornweed in "GTA San Andreas Mobile Modding" topic on GTA Forums the very first post says "GTA: San Andreas Mobile still use known RenderWare engine"
So please, don't talk bs
I had the "Trilogy" since it was first released & i mainly play San Andreas & sometimes Vice City. I do t either bother playing GTA 3.....the game has mad problems....everything from game crashes, glitches, visual imperfections, & song glitches..... However i continue to play because its more about nostalgia to me & less about pointing out the games flaws....its not the original beta copy but its still a timeless classic.....
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
This is the best example of why Piracy is not immoral. I want to give the artists and developers my money but if they're going to withhold original content to try and force you to buy inferior versions, well they can kiss my ass.
GTA influenced videogames the same way the iPhone influenced smart phones.
That's disappointing to hear because I really want this but not if it has a bunch of issues that are going to irritate me. I have only played Grand theft Auto San Andreas but boy did I play that game. I have always wanted to play three and vice City and when this came out I thought this would be my chance even if it was kind of expensive but I was only going to buy it if the remaster was good and I've heard nothing but bad things about it. I bought the tomb raider remasters and they only cost 30 bucks and they are excellent remasters and I don't get why Grand theft Auto wouldn't do the same thing
@@cameronrobinson3933 completely understand, also have the tomb raider games, which are great. I would say buy them once they are way way cheaper, but of course its up to you:) glad you enjoyed the video legend
In other words, no it's still shit!
Quality vid, bro definitely deserves at least 10k subs, or even more
@@TheControl made my day with that, thank you so much🙏 glad you enjoyed, hope you have a good day:)
gta and mortal kombat videos.. subbed immediately lol
@@billyrebel3649 legend🙏 thank you so much
No. End of the discussion. And I wouldn't pre-order GTA 6 either.
Rockstar isn't what it used to be anymore, Sam Houser left, why should we stick around?
I'll pre order gta 6 but not until a few months before its release
I just finished San Andrea's story. It's playable and you can do it. But there are funny map bugs, enemy AI is bad, aiming is clunky along with camera controls
What's up with the enemy AI?
@@daveyboyd784 primarily when you take over gang areas sometimes the enemies literally run away like way outside of the zone blocks away also it's like it expects the draw distance to be lower so beyond a certain point they don't react. Is particularly noticeable like on the military ship or in the military base with the stairs. But more so when I complain about the AI and referring to the gang members you can recruit. They are pretty stupid lack behind and only one can get in the car at each time it's like they have to wait for one to open a door and get in before the other can.
Still got my disc copies for PS2, aswell as buying them on Steam way back when they were first released. It's good to have options if I need a nostalgia hit 👍
Not gonna touch the "remasters" though ft, money better spent elsewhere.
It's still trash. I got to the cutscene in SA where I couldn't tell wtf I was looking at until I realized it was a pot on a stove but the pot has a wood texture on it. How do you manage that? And how hasn't that been fixed yet? It's ridiculous
I have both, I would recommend the switch version cus u already expect it to not look good on max graphics 😂
3:16 because of sharks sessions and fun fact did you know Dan Schneider was in gta vice city
Basically...no, at least for me who still owns the original Versions.
I love how you say GDA.
I’ll pick them up once I can get them for like 20 bucks, but any more than that I’m not interested.
There’s a bug on vice city that makes your mission marker stay even if you finish the mission, reload the save, save and exit. They updated the game and added more setting for the Netflix mobile versions why didn’t they do the same for consoles and pc?
I don’t like the graphics of this game. I like the originals but remake version is not my style. And I agree, these games are expensive for the amount of bugs and issues they have.
One thing I'll always hate about the Defected Trilogy is how they killed the illusion of SA's map looking big. When i was a kid it felt MASSIVE back in the day its like when u fly out far out enough, u can see how small the map looks 😒
@@DajournoTF wasnt a big fan of that either, makes the world feel weirdly less impressive
You can see the cluckin bell on ballas turf from your Grove street house
When you mod the heck out of the games then they are good haha
The version from Netflix is better.
N o
you guys could thank me later for saving 11 minute of your time
@@adlibbed2138 unnecessary. Please dont come back to the channel🙏
No. im sorry but just no. The game still has major flaws that they never bothered to fix. Yeah, you can play it on consoles. Yeah, you can play it wherever you want on Switch. But this is simply not the "definitive" way to play the trilogy. At most id recommend to buy it on a sale and if possible, on PC cause modding fixes a lot of issues with it
To this day i still recommend playing them on 6th gen real hardware consoles, but if thats not an option for you, the original PC ports (With community fixes ofc) is a incredibly solid choice, one that i think its better than Definitive Edition. And cmon, the original ports can run on pretty much any pc nowadays, and some community mods/fixes actually make the game run smoother... Cmon, do yourself a favor and play the OG´s
holy crap I thought the trilogy costed 20-30 dollars but it turns out I bought it on sale. i checked the price on steam it’s 50 damn dollars!?????
I'd say it's worth it fo mobile platforms but not fo console or PC
Its not that bad in my opinion which is good to play it on the Nintendo Switch in 2024
I got the android ports instead for my modded switch. definitive edition runs in just 30fps and unlocking the framerate breaks the texture load in from time to time
Dude ! 7m 55sec of "History of the trilogy" ?! And then you finally say "Is it worth it ? It's up to you really" !!!!!
Wasted my time, and everyone's time.

I still see floating textures on gta 3
*100 DOLLARS* for the def.ed??? What a *fuc-king rip off!!* 🤯😭
This is so bad that it would probably be able to run on the PS2 with no issues
Works fine on my PS5
Does anyone know if you can move the camera with the right stick on Playstation?
@@senadmerita im not sure, think ive had the same question
Are they "worth your money"? Absolutely not. They come included with a Netflix subscription. While this is only the mobile version, it's actually been updated beyond the PC version with many lighting effects fixed.
I searched 'GTA' on the Playstation Store and this shit was 60$ and the absolute masterpiece that is GTA V was only 20$. That logic doesn't make sense. (It costs the same as RDR2 and if you compare the trilogy shit with RDR2, the trilogy gets absolutely destroyed in every aspect besides maybe nostalgia)
WAR TURD STUDIOS... I pirated it just to see the difference with my modded version... and I still felt ripped off... dont ever buy it ffs. It should be illegal to sell this scam..

Tommy: looks better
CJ: looks the same

@@gandalfwiz20007 good idea👍
gta trilogy best port is pc version you can instal mod want improvement mods already
I obv own the original games for ps2, xbox and pc... This ''remastered'' is still a shit, i've tried it on the switch, but also on ps4, on every console the feeling is the same: so much sadness. You would feel very bad if you already played this games back in the day... i think this kind of remastered are good only for new players who doesn't know the original version and could accept this one, maybe, 'cause at least they didn't fucked up the story missions and plots.
