This was the easiest bonnet video I have seen! I was looking for a tutorial to make a bonnet for my granddaughter who wears long braids. She will love this! Will the bonnet stay in place while sleeping? Thank you for a clear explanation. You were very easy to understand.

Iam getting long boxbraids soon this will definitely help ,I just think the bonnets are so pretty . My issue is reading measurements lol so I try to come close .thank u so much for the video .
Hey Ragdoll 🤗🤗 Don't worry you will manage. So first measure your head circumference and ideally it would be great to know the length of your box braids to know how long the bonnet will be
I made many but did modification to back pièce. I fold it for the seam to be in the center then shape the bottom with curve. That way it lay flat on the back Instead of having the bump. My friends love it. Thanks for the video
@@tripletsplaytime Sorry I dont do content, I just watch UA-cam and make and modify stuff. I have seeing any video the way that I modified it or I would tell you thé name. Let me try explain. Let's say your circumference of head is 25 and length is 27.fold 25 into 2 and sew down leaving about 5 inches un sewed at the top. Then place it flat so that the seam that you sewed would be in the center and not at the side. When it's like that then measure like 2.50 to 3 inches at the bottom sides. There will form the curve. Or take à plate and form the curve at the 2 cornes. Hope I explained well if I didnt, I am sorry
Hi 👋 Tutorial is great 😊 Just thought to ask if this bonnet will be long enough for long hair- please guide how much fabric is needed for long hair ! Thanks
Hey, Tejaswini I would like to apologize for a very late reply, I have been on and off YT. if it would still help I think half a yard of each side fabric would be more than enough. Thank you once again for watching the video.
This was a good video .... but im still a little lost on how to sew the 2 satin pieces together before you flipped the bonnet inside out and also on how you attached the ties to the bonnet and closed it off .... can you do a video where you explain these parts in more detail..... and possibly another video showing this type of bonnets with elastic.... thanks 😊... 💜💜💜 I look forward in seeing more bonnet content tutorials on your channel... definitely will be subscribing....
Hey Lysia, 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾Thank you so much for the support. I definitely need to make another video with the elastic everyone has been asking me. I will do one kindly give me a week 🤗🤗🤗I will also go slow on the flipping part. I will have to do another video showing the ties as well.
HEY @@Lysiag7 How are you, I am sorry for the late tutorial, I have made a tutorial with elastic. ua-cam.com/video/WeFKRiVeWvU/v-deo.html I see the first part of the comment you also wanted me to explain how I did the flip. But with the first tutorial, it is almost the same as this one just on the side not at the top as this second tutorial. I hope I make sense. Waiting for your feedback. Hey Gifty thank you so much for dropping by my channel 🤗🤗 I bought the rulers at the local shop where they sell sewing accessories. But you can also search for the ruler on Amazon. It is under the category of a french curve ruler
Hey Terri I bought mine at a local shop around my area, I have seen this on Ali Express and Amazon, it may not be the exact type however might be similar. Kindly search for L shaped French ruler
I think the best way would be to cut exactly the same way, then follow any of the tutorials with elastic. (I am so sorry this is not the best explanation) I might drop a tutorial with the elastic later

Hey, Obiokiutube39 Thank you so much for the support. Oh, I am sorry to hear that it was a bit small. The best way is to take your head circumference for the elastic and maybe take about 3- 4 inches off depending on the elasticity of the elastic and it will do the trick in fitting your head. Please do try it again! 🙏
