This tutorial was the first one I watched. I ended up doing bonnets with ties instead of stretch fabric, but this helped me get an idea of what to do! Now I have a homemade bonnet for me and another for my partner ❤️ thank you!
I love you tutorials I would just love to see you lined your projects up on the actual machine maybe even show the settings that you’re using, girl you’re the best you need your own show
Stitch in the ditch sewing, you are my real teacher , not the one I paid a lot of money, tgg BF aye why I don’t skip you ad, I use that to pay you, muah
This is such a great video. You do explain and show it all clearly. I recently decided to try a bonnet fir sleeping. I have wavy curly hair and am trying to grow it out. It leans towards dry and breaks, and I wake up with a ratty lion's mane. I bought a cheap one to try and couldn't believe how shiny my hair was in the morning. Sold!! 😄 Plus, I wasn't waking up to my own hair wrapped around my face or throat. 😂 I've been looking for a a nicer one, but naturally they're made for women with thicker hair than I have, so the head band fits, but the bonnet is too full for me and hangs in the back. I'm excited to be able to make one to fit for myself. Thanks for posting this!
Am a beginner in sewing. After learning this am sure i can make my own bonnet. God bless you. Will watch other videos on how to sew on your channel. U really made it easy. I like. But I dun hv a sewing machine 😢😢😢😢
Thank you so much ma, for your tutorials, it has been helpful for me on my sewing, thank you so much ma I appreciate it, you are a wonderful teacher and a wonderful woman and especially your smile, the lord will bless you and increase your wisdom ma, love you plenty ma.
Thank you!... I especially love the idea of a strap to dress it up if you want to go out/outside. I need that in my life!🤗😁 ... Heading to that video now!🏃🏾♀️😉
@@fashionafrica7193 Ha. I thought you were resending the link to the strap video..... Is this your church service? I enjoy mine, Powerhouse Chicago, each Sunday morning at 8am CST (usually 😉), but there's a 10a and 12p, too.
You keep saying things like "if that makes sense" "if you know what i mean" "i'm not sure if thats clear" ... woman! i have never heard a better explanation!!
You are indeed a wonderful teacher, it's been a while, I've missed you so so much, God bless you for always taking out time to share your knowledge in a spectacular way. Lots of love from Abuja Nigeria❤
Thank you so much. I just stumbled on this & love it. I’m not a seamstress but will def try it may hv a challenge since I don’t know how to use a sewing machine but I’m good with a sewing needle. Cheers 🙏🏾🌹
Beautiful your are a grate teacher thank for sharing, I only use to sew the bonnets with the elastic, I will sew this type now , God blessed your knowledge 🙏🙏💯💯👍👍❤❤❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹🌹🥡
Yes "stretchy" fabric...but there are all types of compositions of stretchy fabric. That is why I asked what type of fabric? Meaning for example knit fabric, athletic fabric, a Lycra etc. What is the % of stretch do you need so that it isn't falling off of your head due to the weight of your hair? Is there a specific fabric you would "recommend"???
Thank you for your video. You make making the band look so easy but I can't get the band to sit flat when I'm finished. Maybe it isn't sewn on straight? Also, as I'm sewing it doesn't catch the back side sometimes. I typically go back and handsew what I missed, but it's so much work. Any suggestions? I'm not a pro like you but I'm pretty good at sewing.

Unfortunately curly hair isn't common in my country so it's hard to find an bonnet, this tutorial really helped me :D

What type of fabric exactly would you recommend for the band? Thank you
I wondered the same thing
In the description stretchy fabric

Sew Libra i would recommend a legging like fabric because they are very stretchy and tight at the same tight!

This video was very helpful but what material did you use for the band?
Thank you for your video. You make making the band look so easy but I can't get the band to sit flat when I'm finished. Maybe it isn't sewn on straight? Also, as I'm sewing it doesn't catch the back side sometimes. I typically go back and handsew what I missed, but it's so much work. Any suggestions?
