This project came out beautifully! Your instructions are so clear and complete… I think even a beginner could follow them. The bonnet I made stayed on really nicely, too.
Thank you, queen. I’m looking to make a bonnet for one of my friends who has luscious curly hair that I love to see that I’m gonna make a practice one for myself and then gift her a pretty satin one.
Thank you so much!! Absolute goddess coming to all us split-ended girlies rescue!! Ive been looking for a bonnet for years, no luck so just bought some of my own satin.. cant wait to make this!!
This was a really great tutorial. Clear and concise. I have recently made an elastic band bonnet and the gathering around the band is so bulky and sometimes uncomfortable to sleep on. I'm going to try your method next. I want to make one for my sister, who has incredibly long hair, for Christmas. Thank you!
This is a very detailed and easy to follow tutorial. I’d like to see how to make a fitted and flat sheet for a queen size bed. You already have the pillow case tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Can't find this type of bonnet anywhere online in my country... Fine, I'll do it myself haha Edit: fighting the urge to buy extra yards of fabric to make a kimono to match to look like a rich bish
Now I plan to go hunting to goodwill to find myself some silk scarf (I hate how polyester satin can get electrostaticky) and I will give this a go. I am white, but I hate how my hair tangles itself at night, so I think this might be a solution to my problem.
I'm assuming 1 yard per color cause it's 3 feet in a yard, 2 od those go into the cap of the bonnet and then the 3 extra inches for the bands. And I believe most bolts of fabric standard lengths are 54-72 inches so if you get one that's 72 inches you could easily make this for like $10-$15 from Michaels or even cheaper if you live near a fabric district like in L.A. and NYC or if you can thrift it. I think I spent like $10 on materials to make one that's only single sided with a design on the outside from Michael's but I also got extra fabric to make a matching scrunchie
Ngl but that small flat iron is just soo cute and useful😍 pls can u tell where u got it from🥺🥺🥺 the bonnet was soo damn good and freaking easy to make🤩😍
What a brilliant DIY project! Creating a reversible tie-on satin bonnet is such a practical and stylish idea😍. We sent you an email, we would love to connect and collaborate with you.
This has been the best tutorial that I've seen. Now I feel more confident to try one. Thank you for sharing

Thank you for this tutorial.
Quick question: Does the initial hole /opening you made, sit at the nape of your neck or the front of your forehead ?
Girl I hope I could make this. I have extra fabric, I'm broke and my hair is terrible😭. Wish me well
