Thanks! Finished mine today. I’m an old guy with a bunch of aches and pains and will probably be sore tomorrow but the satisfaction of not having to give a repair shop a bunch of cash will get me through.
Had to do the same with my 2016. Had copious amount of water in the cab from these leaking vents. Carpet was soaked from the back wall right to the firewall. Interestingly, the new vents I bought did not have the frame you showed at the beginning. It’s not needed so I’m not sure what the purpose of it is. I would recommend everyone be proactive in swapping out the old vents before you end up with leaks. The new replacement vents are redesigned indicating that the original vents were defective.
Amazing video!! I sleep in my pick up a lot (I'm a hotshot driver) and have a sleeper berth, how would you close these cab vent is there any way to completely close them to impeach air coming in? Thx in advance!
Carpet and floorboard was wet. Had two leaks, one was the third high mount taillight and the second was the vents. I love my truck, but the RAM Engineers must have been on crack when designing these items.

Thanks for the video.!! Be careful with a silicon you use, rust the metal.
I like the silicone idea. Drying my carpet/pad as we speak. Vents on order
Same here🤦♀️
Thanks for the video!! I have to do mine now.....................................🤪

I would not recommend closing the vent closed. They are used for positive air. This is how you get pressure relief when you close the truck doors
Thank you
did u notice water on the inside? what reason did you replace these, were the old ones not working??

Carpet wet in the rear and on the floor at each corner in the rear
