We explore a abandoned Victorian millionaires mansion
The Finest Regency Mansion in Wales…
Built in 1848, this grade I listed building was once home to a lord. Surrounded by 16 acres of open fields and woodland, numerous grand period rooms and irreplaceable furniture and artwork… where did it all go wrong for this magnificent site?
Plans to turn it into a high end wedding venue have fallen through multiple times now, leaving the building and its contents to decay.

Literally fabulous place. Hope it isn't just left to rot. Absolutely blown away at the lengths to which you went, even jumping down from a ceiling. My heart was in my mouth when you opened the bedrioom door where you could smell someone had had a shower!

What a gorgeous place and I’ll say it again...as I’ve said in other videos with places just left to decay...it’s such a pity that it’s just left there to slowly rot with all of those gorgeous antiques and amazing artwork! I especially loved the huge carved horse! It was unique and stunning!!

So where do the National Trust come in to all these historical places ? They should be snapping up these and letting visitors in. History is forgotten otherwise 👎 To much money they make and nothing in return 😡

Okay, so the owner has invested in a security alarm/warning system ....How about they spend that money towards restoring it! Hypocritical, in my opinion.
An amazing place, I loved the figures on the roof. This one made me so tense though with the thought of the alarms going off and the clambering in and dropping out of the very high loft spaces etc oh my gosh I was almost relieved when it finished lol. You guys are so brave. ❤️🧡

One thing that never fails to intrigue me with these stately homes is how can anyone possibly use all those rooms? The maintenance costs on such a massive building must be astronomical. Thanks for the post Sam & Jess I am sure there is a lot more to see here.

If built in 1848 its Victorian not Regency ,that period followed Georgian and then to Victorian .
I think you're pushing your luck on this explore, not your normal abandoned., someone somewhere owns this place, too much stuff and too tidy 🙄

Metro Bank card lol, if you look again nearly all smoke detectors have red covers on so they don't want false alarm triggers.

Beautiful architecture. Seen this mansion done a few times now. Judging by the photos was a very grand building in its day. Even the Coat of Arms on the bath tub. Sam I bet you could crawl through a Mousehole. Jess is a Ninja bless her. Thanks guys xxx

What a place! I saw another channel do an explore there last week. But they did not seem to get into some of the places you did, let alone point out some of the amazing architectural details!
Another terrible destruction of a grade 1 building, instead of keeping you lovely guys out they should keep the damp and mould out!! Great explore, wish I was a supple as you lot, you go through those tiny spaces, I have trouble getting through the shed door. Good on you guys, I'm 64, I have knowledge of old things, you have the youth and energy to explore these amazing places, keep feeding the info and I will feed back all my ancient knowledge for you, have to face it, I used to visit my family when the bog was a bucket over a plank in a shed up the garden, and when you finished you chucked a scoopful of ash down into the bucket and every couple of days it was buried four feet down in the veg plot and left for 6 months. Seriously Sam and Jess, you should have seen the size of Grandads sprouts, a vision to behold. Love you guys.

It's been empty for years in the grounds of a country park. The people that bought it were doing it up into a 5 star hotel and wedding venue ran out of money and partnered with another bloke that didn't cough up any money and has now gone bust.

Someone else did a video of this place and he went across the courtyard and somehow got in through a window on the other side and went through all these rooms. He also found what appeared to be someone living on the other side in a room that had a microwave and a hot plate and a toaster and a little Pantry full of food not to mention clothes shoes etc. This place is really gorgeous what a shame to just sit there to rot

That place would need an enormous of money just for on-going maintenance even if it was fully repaired and it is far from that!
