Every time I watch one of your videos I want to get a tank and try my hands at a planted tank. Then I remember that I already tried it and my tank was overtaken by black brush/beard algae. How do you keep your tanks from getting bba?

The biggest tank I'll ever set up would be a 120gal. As soon as I buy a house it's happening 😅

No I mean with root feeders. Like how much of a difference would it make between soil and gravel? And ofcourse fertilizing them every once in a while.
