    Amazing effort with this tank and beautiful choice of fish, well done. The composition came together when you added the rocks beneath the overhanging driftwood, to mirror its shape and shadow. Not sure about the 'dirted' element of the tank, as if one was too accidentally disturb the sand too much it may ruin the aesthetics and nutritional balance of the tank altogether. Stunning work Jay!

      I want the flow to push everything to the right while not pushing the plants around too much. Plus its literally right up against the wall so my filter won't fit there. • @ThePlantedTankTV
      @ThePlantedTankTV  4 роки тому +2

      Haha thank you do much! I get leaching from using potting mix but not from top soil. I wanted to use mainly topsoil for this tank but didn't bake enough so I through in the potting mix. The osmocote plus takes a long time to break down. It's supposed to last a solid 6-8 months according to the Scott's website. Use sand as a cap instead of gravel to minimize leaching it really helps! Thank you so much!

      @@ThePlantedTankTV would a 25 pound bag of sand be enough to do that to a 29 gallon? Would Kellogg Garden Organics natural organic raised bed and potting mix be ok for this? Would the Osmocote affect the fish? Instead of Seachem Flourish root tabs, would Aquarium Co-op's easy green root tabs do just as well or better?
