Dude for real. Listening to this on a good pair of studio headphones makes me appreciate the album so much more.... as if I didn't already love it lol the guitar tones alone are sexy af and then the depth of everything.... I've got to stop I'm turning myself on.....
The horns in the intro section once the drums come in are really something. You can hardly hear them in the original mix but they really pop here. This song is an absolute masterpiece.
I've listened to the original over 50 times easily. It's incredible that the instrumental hit different in a certain way. Soooo good. Such an incredible and well orchestrated song.
What I like about Periphery is that every instrument can be enjoyed independently. And when they are played together, they complete each other. This is what listenable music should be.
Normally I really like the instrumentals.. but man on this disc, Spencer's vocals are a HUGE part of the overall impression of the songs. Especially on this one IMO..

It almost sounded like you were freaking out man lol it's just me and these are instrumental versions of the official album I have put together from the producer pack for everyone to freely listen to on the channel. Someone has to put on the red cape for the instrumentalist's.
Without the vocals, they sound like they were in P3...IMO something must have happened when they mixed in the vocals. Like...the vocal track just applied some sort of amp boost in the songs. Or I might be wrong. This instrumental tracks were mixed with less compression, right? lol
I do not know whether it is just a mixdown of all stem tracks as they are, or if any plugin trickery was involved. As per my ear, you might be right about lower level of compression, different mixing approach by Peripheral is audible, especial in CHVRCH BVRNER where that low atonal guitar chug near to "death bed desire" is less pronounced, but otherwise all is pleasant to listen.
