I like that the father introduced himself as the father of all his sons and not just Amon
You can tell that he is incredibly proud of his whole family!
The man has 3 boys...
Both of them in the Nfl
Mr.Brown is former Mr.Universe, for everyone talking about the form - he knows what he’s doing. There’s videos of him training his sons the same way since Amon ra was a freshman in high school, clearly it’s been effective for them
Yeah but I don’t think anybody is saying it isn’t effective, there’s just clearly more effective ways to do it that’s all
John Wasn't Known For Impeccable Form When He Was Competing. He Was Known For Being Very Strong However 🤷🏿♂️. I Grew Up Watching John As A Kid.

ppl don't realize how good amon ra st brown's physique is, among all wide receivers, dk, ja'marr chase, and amon ra st brown probably have the best physique out of all wide receivers, the thing is too is that he's not even that big, he's only 6ft 203lbs and yet his physique is better than most wide receivers in the nfl

I can never understand how regular people are trying to tell World Class athletes they are doing something wrong like yall can’t even run a mile or lift your own body weight and people are suppose to listen to you lol there is a reason they are in the NFL!!

Everyone with basic understanding of optimal training (especially for NFL PLAYERS!!!) can tell these dudes don’t understand shit of working out.

Your dad is off the hook. I research his information and found is information to be true. I'll be 70 this year but I'm not old school, meaning unable to change my way of thinking.
Amon Ra a beast FR!
That last machine is crazy! Never seen something like that in a gym in person.

Awesome workout video! #Allday. Love the clapping of the wood blocks to hype them up.
Mannnn o man I vividly remember this kind of training. Muscle endurance with volume and less breaks.
It is DIFFERENT‼️💪🏾💪🏾
Ppl crticizing the form and tempo meanwhile these are 2 NFL STARTING AND THRIVING recievers. There's a method to everything and John knows what he's doing.
I'm one of those guys - only in my mind. I cringed when I saw them do DB rows and leg extensions. Maybe there is a reason for that ROM, loose reps. But the Squats looked solid!
Ah because they are in the NFL someone with plenty of research done in sport science can’t critique them? Doesn’t make sense now does it? I’m stronger than these guys so am i now qualified enough? Gtfo.
@@CeogrThere dad was a 2x Mr Universe. No one is above criticism but he may know a thing or two..
Please separate them being starting wide receivers in the nfl from their weightlifting form. Sus form is sus form even if Ronnie Coleman is doing it. Not because I’m a narcissist, but because it’s been studied to death. A geologist telling me the earth is flat is still wrong. Now their football specific training is a different story, that is what got them where they are

first time seeing this channel. Great seeing these guys work out with their father. This channel gain a new subscriber.
I just Did this exact workout, and I felt like I was gonna pass out but not light headed kinda pass out it basically felt euphoric at the end. One of my OG's in the gym saw me in a daze on a bench and gave a bottle of Coca-Cola and said drink up.lol I don't think I'd be able to right this comment if I didn't drink it. Basically this workout is DIFFERENT
Mind giving me a run down of Reps and sets?
I noticed they really don't go that high on the leg extensions, I was wondering if there was a specific reason they were doing that for. If anyone knows why please leave a comment.
Commenting bc I also would like to know lol hopefully someone answers

I meant it's great so they don't just fuckin fool around!!! They get their work done and Mr. Brown is so dedicated to helping his sons
So what’s is the reason behind those high count lengthened partial reps on the leg extension?

It’s about stamina for the muscle…..just think of how many downs the offense runs in a game? Sports specific the position of a wide receiver running every down
They need to get jamo in there
Agree
FACTS
John Brown said on the St. Brown brothers podcast that Jamo has a great build to do body building. Lean, no fat, could just stack muscle on his frame.
Imagine thinking you know more than a 2x Mr. Universe.
😂😂😂
The form brings a lot of questions but these dudes have been training with their father since they were children (think Amon said 8 years old) so there is a method behind the madness since they are in the NFL.

What’s the reps and sets?
No music is crazy 😭😂

Sometimes I feel more focused on the reps without music, but that’s because I keep changing songs for like 2 mins during rest between sets 😂😂😂

I wonder what supplements they took growing up?
My bad, I'm talking about the bent over rows...
Where’s Osiris?
I have heard that with lat pull etc you are supposed to control the weight not let it control you.
I did that too!!
for muscle growth you should for strength and explosiveness you dont need to
Like dad said, they are not body building.😂
tf was that Landmine exercise? Looked like a good way to be put on the IR
It’s a pretty standard exercise. How would it injure him?
@@patrickhennessey7556 It's a pretty standard exercise if you actually move some body parts yes, they barely moved their biceps a few inches.. Wasn't much of a landmine row if that was the point 🙈
@@desireesrensen2775 Oh yeah I definitely agree they didn’t do a good job preforming it. The way they did it was not as effective for muscle compared to how you’re supposed to do it. But I don’t see how the way they’re doing it is particularly dangerous or anything like this fellow is suggesting.
@@patrickhennessey7556 I'll give you that, probably more unaffective than actually dangerous!
@@patrickhennessey7556 Ripping over 300 lbs in that double flexed spine position and using momentum will result in more risk than reward. I understand he's an elite athlete, and these guys are specimens that can get away with poor training technique to an extent. But it's only a matter of time when neglecting reasonably good form.
Does anyone know what John is slapping together and why? Is that common in bodybuilding?
Literally play Sunday. Dudes a dog
OG has the right mindset but the form is terrible

Respectfully, the dude is jacked, athletic, and plays in the NFL. What works for them may not work for everyone else. But you can’t act like there isn’t proof in the pudding. Professionally, he’s made it alot further than us. How long it may or may not work for them, who knows. Also keep in mind that their father was a professional bodybuilder a long time ago. So there wasn’t nearly as much knowledge back then as there is today. But it still works for them
Exactly!😂😂😂 absolute pathetic form
@@KR-oo2wxDoesn’t matter. There is a way better way to get jacked and fit than to appeal to authority. Pretty pathetic way of making an argument. Dude looks like he stepped into a gym one day ago. Absolute shit form and the stimulus to fatique/injury risk is absurd. Remember these are PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES. How can even the basic population see that their form and workouts itself are shit? Than its really fucking shit. And btw i’m stronger and more jacked but does that make me have the right more now to talk? No. I just have good arguments, that’s it.
Although people say weight lifting doesn't affect height, i wonder how the oldest son 6'4 and the younger brothers barely 5'10. Is it because he started them too early? Typically amongst athletes(there are exceptions to the rule) the younger brothers are always taller.
Nope stop believing in that myth lifting doesn’t stunt growth, damage to the growth plates do by an injury either a accident or long term damage like making a 10 year old squat every day that type stuff causes damage and for the height it’s genetics theirs so many people who are real tall with short relatives Micheal Jordan was 6”6 with 5”4 and 5”5 brothers with a 5”9 dad and 5”5 mom nobody in his close family over 6 foot
Amon ra is 6ft.. and the middle child is 6’2”… ?
@TheMonkeysprinkle Amon Ra measured under 6'0 at the combine, he was 5'10.5 the middle child Osiris measured at 5'11.5 at football camp and I think had a injury that cut his career short. Typically the second child is always taller. But in this case the oldest son is damn near 6'5 and the other kids are sub 6'0
@@jetshark970shark4 Amon ra measured 5’11.5” at the combine… and for your “youngest brother is usually the tallest” argument, causation does not equal correlation
@TheMonkeysprinkle Damn I was 1 inch off still under 6'0 also I can name about 10 athletes where younger brother is taller, of course there are exceptions to the rule, but that still doesn't change facts
I see a lot of half reps there
That Leg Press Machine looks bad for the lower back. See how it rolls up and is not supported. That is probably why they stopped making them.
Form is the most underrated and overrated part of working out at the same time haha. Everyone has different ways of moving, there are some major dos and donts but some people also will just look different in an effort to lift the most weight they can and u gotta be flexible with them
at the end of the day they are nfl players but from an exercise selection and form standpoint this is mid at best. Dads a legend but stuck on the old ways
They body gon be hurting when they older😭
Don't follow this with this form folks, simple as that. Amon is an insane receiver, one of my favorites, but this isn't what got him here.
Thanks, some fk common sense. What he is doing is literal time wasting.
@@Ceogr People really think that these athletes train like this 😂😂😂 Shows they don't really workout.
@@zay.405 Yeah lol. I know a lot of my friends that play rugby that are fk autistic when it comes to training for the sport. They don’t ever go off program.
@@zay.405this is how they’ve been working out since kids
Fast twitch muscles
A speed power athlete like amon should be doing plyos and power based training 1-3 reps of 40-60% and then maximal strength training-1-3 prolly lower than 80% just due to injury risk. The hypertrophy might boost work capacity but like football is a glycolic energy and phosphates energy system sport its fast twitch. The hypertrophy work capacity training will only help endurance and injury resistance from increased muscle mass. I'd also do unilateral stuff too
He needs to train Kevin Durant
HAHAHAHAHA 😂😂😂😂😂
