So glad i got to grow up in the same community with the st browns. John brown was my first strength coach and i’ve never met leaders as inspiring as these guys
All 3 kids have 4.0, took the SAT in French, spent semesters abroad, speak german fluently, AND their dad added Saint so his children wouldnt have a slave name, Quite a unique implication of Dubois's double consciousness. Amon brother! Rumble young men rumble!
I am a 54 year old Lions fan that never had a jersey before. Just bought my first one and it is a #14 St. Brown. How can you not love the player and the person that he has become. Go Lions.
I knew from the day we drafted this young man that he was going to be special I just want to say that he has made me and my son better human beings we look at his story and it's made us closer and better thank you amon ra first down
Another great video. Amon Ra First Down is definitely the best receiver on the Lions and he improves every season. I can't wait to see he and JaMo out there together this season he is a great choice to lead this receiver room. #OnePride
I simply can't say enough good things about Amon-Ra St. Brown. Many see him as just a great slot receiver who moves the chains. He is much more than that! 1500 yards last season says that on its own. He is virtually unstoppable in the slot with those great hands, but he also runs great post routes and can burn a safety with his speed if he has to. Add into that a fearless attitude when it comes to blocking, and you have a complete player. He is also a clutch performer. That's on the field. Off the field, the man is a workhorse who is a great example for the whole team, not just the receivers. He is as tough as nails. He is approachable by the fans. This man epitomizes what a Detroit Lion should be. His contract was big, but he is worth it. Much love and respect to #14! One Pride! Go Lions!
@@zarka223I've been watching the Lions since the early 70s. My favorite player was Lem Barney (The Supernatural!) because he could do so much and was such a team guy. St. Brown is.even above him in my book. A relentless competitor who constantly strives for greatness. I love that chip on his shoulder and that he can name all the receivers selected before him. I think he's yellow jacket material.
Amon Ra was such a great find hes a top ten wr out of the fourth round of the draft that doesn't happen to often if that draft was to happen again he would be a top ten pick
THIS IS MY GUY. I've lived in Detroit my whole life, but I didn't become a Lions fan until 2021. Amon-Ra St. Brown was the first name I learned on the Brand New Lions. I saw a video of when he went undercover at a hospital, and spoke to a couple of nurses who were Lions fans. And when I learned that even early on he was giving back to the city of Detroit, I was like: T h a t ' s m y g u y. His jersey is the first sports jersey I've ever owned.
@@zarka223 I really did Amon is a stud for the Lions. I'm so glad he got paid. I think he will still have that hunger or drive he has always played the game with
@@sirrichard6685 I agree. I think it’ll make him more hungry, to be honest. He also wants to show the rest of his team that if you work hard and put up great numbers, the team will reward you
Hey everyone! There is a weird cut around the 8:07 mark. Sorry about that. 8 days after uploading the video, the NFL copyrighted a section that I had to trim out. So instead of editing the video and reupload it, I decided to just trim the section out. It’s getting hard to edit these! The NFL are sticklers on their product (which is understandable) but I try my best to edit these videos in a way to avoid those copyright issues. Cheers!
I still have no idea how he managed to be there for us in the 4th round! I swear to new lions have some magic or something to bring the best players to us
Getting him and his production in the fourth Rd is part of why this team is so good. Keep finding St. Browns and Branches later in the draft and this team will find glory sooner than later.
It took him a while to even get targets. It wasn’t until his game winning catch vs Minnesota that he started getting more targets. With his work ethic, it was just a matter of time before he became the receiver he is today.
I believe Amon Ra St. Brown aspires to be the best WR in the League - and dare I say - of all time... I believe he wants to be the best - period. He bullies NFL DBs, Larry Bird work ethic - The Sun God isn't done impressing...
It's sad how his choice in school (THE MIGHTY USC) caused him to be taken in the 4th. Had he went to Bama he'd be the 2nd WR or 3rd off the board. His talent got him to the league n paid!
From my perspective, I see him as a human specimen. Emphasis on specimen. He is very inspiring but do I want to have that kind of regimen. No. What is 'great' what is 'average'? I have nothing to be great at (I was in music and was good, not great). I will not go down in the history books. He will. In a way it's Greco-Roman. On one hand, he was raised 'Lacedaemonian'. On the other, he possesses that intense Roman-esque 'ambition'. His parents have clearly melded mind and body into the competitor that he is but for what? Our entertainment? Riches? Certainly he is now a wealthy young man. I suspect his spirit is equally on par with the other attributes. Perhaps, vehemently atheistic? Perhaps, on fire the Lord whatever it may be. It doesn't matter. He is an interesting person that has pushed himself to be admired by other humans. Overall, I'm just happy that he's a Lion. If it weren't for Penei and then ARSB, these players, we would still be suffering our humiliating and ridiculous worst franchise in all of Sports history. Things are changing because of people like him.
I couldn’t have said it better myself. Great comment! He was molded into greatness and I’m very happy he’s with the Lions. He’s an inspiration to the rest of the team as well. I’m sure his work ethic rubs off on the rest of the team and now the Lions proved they will reward that work ethic
What separates St. Brown from everyone else is he is a phenomenal teammate and leader.
Absolutely!
Serious! On every Lions touchdown highlight, he is celebrating with the player that scored!
Not to mention his incredible work ethic.. he IS the hardest working player on the field..
He is a really smart dude
He has great parents that were involved in his life. Then turned him loose to be his own man. Detroit and St Brown great combo. ✌️🏈
It starts with the parents in the home. Great content my brother.
Two parents around all the time❤❤
Worth every penny.
I’m a Chicago Bears fan. I respect and love Amon Ra’s game even though he is a Detroit Lion! Great story!
Humbling, one of life’s treasures. Makes you a better man. ✌️🏈
These videos got me ready to run through a wall go lions!!!
A super talented, intelligent and humble human being! He deserves everything he gets!
Thanks for featuring Saint's parents as much as you did Mike. They are a great example for all of us.
💯 yes they are!
Yes! Thanks for all the attention to parenting. They have 3 fine gentlemen who are meant for greatness. They have the needed tools and skills! 💥
I’m one of the happiest Lions fans because of St. Brown
Same!

They actually took the ACT in French, German and English.
My favorite player on my favorite team, so glad he’s here to stay!
Started from his childhood. His father should get huge praise.
Happy fathers day John Brown! Thank you! One pride!
💯 One Pride!
Damn this is great coverage of Amon Ra I now know his whole life lmao
Happy Fathers Day John Brown. You are a legend when it comes to raising amazing sons. World Champion Father right here.

Thats awesome! I may get one myself. He’s a great player and an even better person
That Hutch might make for a solid second Jersey. Love seeing him spend his free time at Detroit and Motts Children's hospital.
@@TheAlienAbides The black Hutch jersey does look sweet.
I love what dad said at the end! Whatever you have to do for your kids to succeed!

St Brown is My favorite WR right now.
he was drafted 4th round, and he took it personally

It's crazy. I remember in 2021 I used his name as a punching bag to state how bad that Lions receiving corp was.
It took him a while to even get targets. It wasn’t until his game winning catch vs Minnesota that he started getting more targets. With his work ethic, it was just a matter of time before he became the receiver he is today.
The importance of having two supporting parents in the household. This is the result
The thumbnail for this video looks low resolution. Might do better with a more eye catching thumbnail. Great video your my new favorite Lions YT
Thanks for letting me know. Sometimes it’s hard to tell when I’m creating it. I might just redo it and change it out. I appreciate that.
The best WR since Megatron and Herman Moore

This is the definition of nurture vs nature.
