‘ही’ देशी गाय नामशेष होण्याच्या मार्गावर, जाणून घ्या ‘या’ गायीची खासियत..!

​‪@Kisanwani‬ : भारतात प्राचीन काळापासून घरोघरी गायी पाळण्याची प्रथा आहे. पूर्वी शेतकऱ्याच्या दावणीला जितकी गायरं जास्त तितकी त्याची श्रीमंती अधिक असं मानलं जायचं. पण काळ बदलत गेला तशी दावणीच्या देशी गायींची जागा संकरित गायींनी घेतली. संकरित गायीच्या तुलनेत देशी गायीचं दूध देण्याचं प्रमाण कमी आहे. सहाजिकच देशी गायीचा खर्च परवडेनासा झाल्यानं आपसुकच देशी गायींची संख्या कमी होत गेली. भारताचं वैभव असणाऱ्या अशाच काही देशी गायींच्या जाती सध्या नामशेष होण्याच्या मार्गावर आहेत.
Cow rearing has been a practice since ancient times in India. Earlier, it was believed that the more cows a farmer has, the richer he is. But as time went on, indigenous cows were replaced by hybrid cows. Compared to crossbred cows, the milk yield of indigenous cows is less. Naturally, as the cost of the indigenous cow became unaffordable, the number of indigenous cows decreased. Some of these indigenous cow breeds, which are the glory of India, are currently on the verge of extinction.
