It’s heartbreaking that none of Quinton’s “family” spoke out for him, the actual victim of this crime. Kudos to the young former babysitter for having the courage to do so. Leilani’s family clearly is in denial, which isn’t uncommon in a family full of drug addicts (sober or not). Leilani will never take responsibility for what she did, and we all witnessed why this is so.

I don’t understand how Leilani has ANY choice in the matter of Q’s remains! My daughter is a funeral director & we live in the Ohio/Indiana area. It’s always the next of kin that makes the decisions on arrangements, etc of the deceased. So in a case like this, Quinton’s father would be his NOK & make the decisions, not anyone Leilani named! I get that laws are different everywhere but to ask a convicted k!ll3r if they want the remains released is just mind blowing to me! I get that it the remains could possibly be needed in an appeals situation but for her to stand there & say she wanted the remains released to her brother, I do not think she can just name WHO gets the remains!

Yes, it’s good but she is trying to take the blame for what Leilani did and it is pertinent that Leilani take accountability for what she has done and show humility and sorrow for her actions. But that’s my opinion. I do hope Billie Jo goes forward.

@ absolutely, but she’s doubling down on her being innocent instead ☠️ Zero responsibility. I think SHE thinks, she can manipulate the jury, judge and her town. Plus that wouldn’t have gone well, she would not have been believable- and her lawyers KNOW it

Considering she was so clever according to the stepdad why did she have to do her GED in jail, surely that's done when you're still at school, those ridiculous supporters should be ashamed of themselves especially that aunt ( drama queen attention seeker ) what exactly did she think she was taking credit for? Half raising a murderer. Even after sentencing Quinton was let down, I'm disappointed in the judge because she had a different attitude just after it happened, then gave her a chance to get out to do God knows what, who's to say the law won't be changed so she could be eligible after 10 or 20 years it's happened in other states. The judge should have barred her from profiting from her crimes but no just let her get rich off her vile despicable crime. Sorry for the rant but I'm disappointed and mad.

Once again, a woman is given leniency for murdering her child.

Susan Smith, Andrea Yates, Casey Anthony, Lori Daybell (Chad got death), Leilani Simon….
It is offensive that there is sentencing bias for females. We need reform.

I always find it so sad and infuriating when the judge doesn't make an empathetic statement on the vicitm's behalf when sentencing their murderer! What did she say? "May there be peace"?! How about telling this murderer what a POS she is for killing her baby and throwing him away like trash while she blamed innocent people and got drunk with her mother, and then letting her spend her cowardly life continuing to deny responsibility in a cold prison cell workimg trash duty each day, so she never forgets what she did! The state prosecutor was a brilliant advocate for baby Q. The judge truly failed him!

What condemns her in my opinion is that during the trial and at the end of the sentencing, she refused to testify. Anyone who was innocent of a crime would plead their innocence till the end. Even her brother Paul thought she should go to prison do some time and get parole one day. Her relatives deep down know she did something to that little boy.
