How can a government put a law in place that tortures the victims every two years??? That's beyond inhumane! In Susan Smith's case an other parole hearing should not take place for another 10 years! Give the victims time to breath!
She should not receive another parole hearing until at least another 10 years have passed. Then, the parole board can decide if she has been rehabilitated after they look at her actions in prison. I predict the true SS will continue showing herself in those 10 years. I don't believe her tears were real. I didn't see any tears running down her face, only her blotting her eyes. Was she afraid her makeup would run? If there were tears there, those tears were for herself. David Smith said she has never apologized or asked him for forgiveness for killing their children! As a new mother with a baby boy. The details of this case are impossible to grasp. How on earth can a mother do that to her own babies! Their father spent a life in grief. She deserves LIFE. She took 2 precious babies.
I'm very happy to know that David Smith was able to build a life with another woman and to have a daughter. He reminded me that she also robbed his daughter of growing up with two brothers. It's like I taught my kids as they were growing up. Whether you like it or not, your actions have consequences and sometimes those consequences are permanent.
I remember this story when it happened. There was never one tear when she plead for the safe return of her boys. I felt like something was off, but never could I have imagined she did what she did. If anyone deserves to be in that cell her entire life, it's Susan.

It traumatized all new Moms too. I was one when this happened and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. What's so sad is what an anomaly this was then and how common these stories are now. Susan should never get out of prison. She can get out when Alex and Michael grow up. She should have gotten the death penalty.

Im glad they didn't say why they denied because she just will go through the motions and do what they wanted just to get herself out they learn what to do and say. The more hearings they have the more they can manipulate and fake it just to be granted I have seen many many hearing and they are eye opening.

As a new mother with a baby boy. The details of this case are impossible to grasp. How on earth can a mother do that to her own babies! Their father spent a life in grief. She deserves LIFE. She took 2 precious babies.

I'm very happy to know that David Smith was able to build a life with another woman and to have a daughter. He reminded me that she also robbed his daughter of growing up with two brothers. It's like I taught my kids as they were growing up. Whether you like it or not, your actions have consequences and sometimes those consequences are permanent.
I remember this story when it happened. There was never one tear when she plead for the safe return of her boys. I felt like something was off, but never could I have imagined she did what she did. If anyone deserves to be in that cell her entire life, it's Susan.
She had no tears at that parole hearing. So many people knew she was guilty from the jump. No tears and couldn’t look ppl in the eye. Those news conferences her body language was telling. So heartbreaking for David. Such a good looking young man could have done better. She is such a monster. Never gave her children a chance of life and she wants a life outside of prison. Huh glad they denied her. Unfortunately that family has to go through this now every two years.

It traumatized all new Moms too. I was one when this happened and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. What's so sad is what an anomaly this was then and how common these stories are now. Susan should never get out of prison. She can get out when Alex and Michael grow up. She should have gotten the death penalty.

The way she murdered her kids, omg. Knowing they would be terrified and struggling. It's painful to hear, especially as a mother. She couldn't have loved them. Poor things.
I did just finish with watching this all the way through again and I cried at those gut wrenching impact statements once again. Time to dry my eyes so I can leave for work very soon. And yes I do love seeing these parole board hearings. Very interesting

She is the same age as me and I can remember watching the coverage on the news. 30 years is definitely not long enough for taking out two sweet angels. I had small kids back then and I followed that story and it broke my heart when the truth came out what she did.
