    Great first video, love the technique. A complete listing of colors and supplies would be an added benefit.

    I just love this technique! So very easy and yet so incredibly effective! I must try this one soon for my card making backgrounds.

    Really nice. Was just introduced to this form of art although I had been using alcohol inks in my Acrylic abstracts. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

    Very nice technique. So happy you put photos at the end because the glare of your lights made almost the entire piece look blurred throughout. I know it is a tough thing, this lighting stuff. I struggle with it too. Looking forward to seeing more.

      Thanks kiki. Yes the lightsstruggle....I like to work on a glass plate, the plastic is shiny and I need enough light. I always start and finish the video's with the endresult of the creation.

    This is like sponging with alcohol inks? I love it! What an interesting way to create a background for, example, atcs. I used to sponge backgrounds in altered books. Got some yupo paper recently, and will try this soon.

    Absolutely a great idea! I bought a roll of adhesive clear transparent at the beginning of my alcohol ink journey knowing there was one than one way to use it. Gorgeous galaxy...I want to use pearl blooms and Lindys Starburst sprays or make up a mica solution.

    Elsie, I just watched this galaxy creation with alcohol ink and it's just beautiful 😁👍. Your other work is great too, I see you haven't posted for a while. I hope to see more. I was curious was that a hair dryer you used to dry or curling iron? What kind? Thanks

    • @elsiescreationstoshare5888

      Thanks for your compliments. I was busy with giving workshops in my hometown, Nijmegen in the Netherlands. To be honest this hairdryer was from my mother in the 70's. you see it is orange. LOL. I like it because it is not too hot. I don't want my yupo to bubbles of the heat.... Wil post more videos soon.

    Great video. There’s a terrible glare from your light which blocks a lot of what you’re doing. Maybe angle it up to cover the space above the paper.

    The glare from the ceiling fixture is annoying. Like what you did though.

    Just a small suggestion. You should use captions to say which colors, alcohol, techniques, etc. you are using at each step to help us follow along a little better. Other than that, great video and great results! Thank you. :)

    Hi Elsie! Very cool! I'd love to try this! Did you continue to use the same colors, drying after each layer, until you started adding red pepper? Also, for the planets did you use clear contact paper or what do you mean by "masking plastic"? And does the bottle have blending solution in it, or pure alcohol? And did you change felt pads every time you changed colors?

    • @elsiescreationstoshare5888
      @elsiescreationstoshare5888  5 років тому +1

      Hai Vonalda, For the second layer i used Peach Bellini and a light blue color (sailboat blue is fine). Yes, I mean clear contact paper (sorry for my English). And I never use blending solution. I think alcohol 90% + is fine. and less expensive.
      In the second layer I used clean felt with alocohol to "pick up" colors of the first layer. Have fun with this technique, Vonalda!
