Lol they build the most affordable sports car on the planet which happens to be the best selling in the world. Most auto enthusiasts/journalists are enamored with the MX-5. It doesn’t get any purer than that for the money.

Agree with the OP. I've got a 2020 Mazda 3 as my daily drive. Couldn't fault any part of it, massively preferred it to the German three.

Imagine if we order CX 90, and we get all these boxes with manual to assemble the car.....was expecting to see the CX-90 rolling out but again have to wait 18 days. Can't wait to see it

the design is the same as the cx-60 only longer. The interior is basically the same. The big questions now are the power output of the inline six and pricing.

Proud Mazda owner. I really hope to see an rx9 / hybrid rotary sports car in the near future. Even if that doesn't happen, I'm thankful Mazda gave us such phenomenal technologies and continue to inspire for the future.
The rotary is NOT coming back as a primary source of motive power unless powered by something other than gasoline. (Hydrogen perhaps. Unlikely, as there is little distribution for hydrogen.) It simply cannot compete with reciprocating piston engines in terms of emissions, longevity, and efficiency.
I say this as the owner of multiple 1st and 2nd gen RX-7s. The RX-9 is not happening.
The Rotary is going to be a range extending generator for the MX-30.

Another phenomenal advertisement. A great initial concept and the realisation of the advertisement extremely well done in all aspects. As for the presence and commentary by Hiroyuki Sanada, no one could have done it better, he gives the video and the project itself such gravitas, as always his usual flawless performance and delivery. Congratulations to everyone involved in the making of this and the preview video, great work!!
Yes, Mazda seems to have developed a flair for the dramatic. Mr. Sanada could narate books with that voice, hahaha. Loving the buildup for the reveal. Already have a deposit down for one at the local dealer.

@@Elricky124 He has been acting since he was a little boy of 5 to 6 years old so it would be a long list but if I mention Last Samurai, Bullet Train, Sunshine, Twilight Samurai, Mortal Kombat, Extant, Helix, Life, The Railway Man, Royal Warriors, Mahjong Hiroki, that should give you a start lol. He has never stopped working firstly in Japan and latterly in the West so it is a very very extensive list and all his performances exceptional even in early films a few of which had weak scripts and not very inspiring storylines but his own performance could never be faulted, and an extremely talented singer, musician, dancer and off course exceptional martial artist and swordsman.

@@Elricky124 Yes I am the same age as Hiroyuki and first saw his work when I was 18 the first film he did in black and white aged 5 to 6 called Game of Chance, so a loooong time fan for more than 40 years now, Sorry if it came across as a lecture wasn't meant to be, just that Sanada san is one of the very few actors whose work and work ethic and whose personality as a human being I truly admire, he has often been an underrated talent, put in a box as a pop star during his singing career and a martial arts star from his days in JAC the Japanese Action Club but he is multi talented and I am just so pleased that he has been able to continue to develop his career and come to greater attention in the West in the last 20 years or so since Last Samurai.

As a current driver of a turbo premium plus CX-30 and Mazda salesman, I can't wait to see this next adaptation of Mazda design and technology. The current generation of vehicles has hardware and craftsmanship well worth the price. The CX-50 was awesome, but I'm looking forward to this engine and interior design even more. The CX-60 is stunning inside and out, and I will most likely be driving an Artisan Red or Rhodium White CX-70 next!
Mazda design is getting stale and boring. All Mazda knows how to do is erase character lines from previous gen designs, and then call it "new." And this is coming from someone who owns a 2021 CX-5.

I love Mazda and very curious if the CX-90 will be better than the CX-60. That plug-in hybrid system already got quite some critics from the media. Also that car is very heavy but with a harsh ride and not that spacious. If you want to go more premium it has to be more than a new platform and great interior quality but also good technique and good overall.

As an owner of a 2021 Mazda 3 Turbo sedan and 2017 CX-9, I'm always in amazement of how comfortable these cars are. My wife and I will likely replace our CX-9 with the CX-90. I can't wait to see the full unveiling. Great stuff, Mazda.

I eagerly await the CX-90 as I want one to replace our current CX-9. I'm especially excited by the PHEV model. However, I will wait for the first few years to roll out before purchase.

I was greatly affected by the casting defect in 2016-2020 Skyactiv 2.5L Turbo cylinder heads.
Luckily, I was covered under the powertrain warranty in good faith. However I know MANY people that were not.

I used to have a 2018 cx9 and it was such a great car. My lease was up in 2021 and I didn’t want a 3 row anymore and went with something else for my current lease, but now I’m missing the size and fit of a 3 row suv. I’m excited to see the new cx90 and all design and engine options

Mazda has always been an amazing car, i have a 1996 b2300 with 300,000 plus miles still running like a champ and a 2016 mazda 6 with 170,000 and I'm not disappointed. Easy to work on and parts are not expensive!

Long time CX-5 owner here (9 years and running), patiently waiting and hoping this is a larger vehicle because size is literally the only thing that kept my growing family from upsizing to the CX-9. Phenomenal vehicle; just wasn't big enough.

I know on the cx-90 page on the mazda website talks about the PHEV, but will the reveal also speak of any other drivetrains such as the inline 6(turbo/non-turbo)?
Yes, of course. The inline 6, and our innovation around it, plays a huge part in the performance of this vehicle and we will be discussing it in detail.
Very excited about the I6 engine. Hopefully it makes it way into a compact package. I currently own a 3 turbo. My ONLY complaint is no manual transmission. In the future will the mazda 3 turbo ever get a manual transmision? And is the TCR ever gonna make a comeback?

Mazda this is top tier. As someone whos future changed as a whole from a rotary , I hope that one day, some how you bring it back. I dont care about the negative people who says it wont, because you guys proved the impossible countless times even when other manufacturers mocked. You were made of fun when you entered the LeMans but left leaving them scared and impressed winning the whole thing. I have hope in you guys.

@MazdaUSA my first car was a 2007 Mazda 3 (bought in 2016) , drove like a beauty , handled really well , excellent at tight cornering ...in short from a driver's standpoint nothing else in that category could compete or even come close. Now I am enjoying my 2019 Beautiful CX-5 which is an SUV but drives and handles like a mini sports car. The paint job itself says enough, interior 10/10. 😁. Please bring if even only for a short time the Mazda 6 wagon to USA/Can.
