What I picked up from the before and after torque curves for both vehicles is that at 2,000rpm there is 100% more torque. Coupled with transmission tuning, both vehicles would be a weapon on the open road and make overtaking very quick and safe.
Yes!
Hi i have a 2022 n80 manual hilux, whats ur cost for tuning? And how long will it take, im from sydney so would have to bring the car up to youse
Around the $1600 mark mate for a full custom dyno tune, suited to how you drive your Hilux & what you use it for etc. We will need it for one full day only!
I'm in the UAE. Do you offer a standard chip tune?
No we don't sorry.
Hi I have a 2020 Prado how do I tell if I have the early or later 1GD ?
If its month of manufacturer is late 2020, then it's a high output.
Or, if it has "push on" intercooler hoses with circlips, then it's a high output. If there are screw-on clamps, then it's low.
@@UltimateDieselTuning awesome that's good info! I must have a very early high output one from July 2020 it definitely has push on hoses
Do you know if the snorkel helped with increasing the power output on the hilux or did it reduced it? I've got a 2022 Prado I was looking at a safari snorkel prior to getting a tune completed by you guys but i really don't need one. Safari do a "performance" AR Max snorkel for the Hilux but not the Prado and i can not find out any information around this. If putting on a snorkel is going to help increase my power output and help protect the motor great but if its going to reduce the max output Ill leave it off. Whats your opinion?
Also any thoughts on a genuine snorkel vs the safari in regards to performance etc.? The genuine look better as they aren't so big and bulky but do the motors really need that extra flow or is it just "snake oil"
Hi Jvan. No, no difference in performance or tuning. Unless you replace & upgrade the airbox & other components as well. Snorkels are great for crossing deep water though.
@@jvan2397 we prefer Safari.
