      He's trying to prove that Bryan had no way of knowing that Arbery would be killed. But he was killed so the only way they can get off is if it was self-defense. I believe this was in fact self-defense. Arbery could still have run away but chose to attack Travis and punch him in the head. Why did he do that? He was not trapped. Travis thought Arbery was armed and that's the only reason he brought out his gun. I know that if the two McMichaels are determined to be guilty of murder then Bryan must be found guilty too because he participated.

      @@crand20033 Are you being deliberately dense? You're putting the onus on Ahmaud who is clearly trying to escape on foot to "get away". He even changes direction when Travis Mcmichael pulls up beside him. Why didn't they drive off? Or stay at home and call the cops with a description. They pursued him and drew guns on him. It was Ahmaud who was defending himself. He didn't bring the gun. He didn't pursue them. He didn't confront them. He didn't want to engage and he certainly wasn't going to let them shoot him without a fight. Would you? You don't have to like Ahmaud but put yourself in his shoes and tell me that they are defending themselves after they chased after you as you ran on foot with weapons in their trucks. Then drive ahead so they can cut you off. Get out of their car and confront you with weapons. Tell me you wouldn't fight for you life.

      @@1nhonho Arbery was only trying to get away because he knew he had committed a criminal offense (prowling and trespassing) while out on felony probation. He was not jogging, but rather (the ex-football player) was running as fast as he could and the only want to catch up to him was with vehicles. The McMichaels (both ex-police officers) only wanted to detain him for the police as they were asked to do. He did in fact attack Travis who was holding a gun (it's very clear on the video) and he never would have been shot if he had simply ran away or stopped. Sure they cut him off because that's what cops do. They would have been hailed as neighborhood heroes if only Arbery would have given up and been put back in jail where he belonged. Off duty cops stop criminals every day (and they have guns). They don't just sit there and watch a criminal try to get away. Reference: "A masked man got more than he bargained for when he attempted to rob a fast-food restaurant and the only two customers eating at the establishment ended up being two married off duy police officers who were on a date night held him at gunpoint until he was arrested."

    • @1nhonho
      @1nhonho 11 місяців тому +13

      @@crand20033 Do you see anywhere where I say he was jogging?? Of course he was running away because he was trespassing on private property. So did many other people in that neighborhood that didn't get killed for it. The McMichaels were no operating a law enforcement. They were acting as vigilantes. And NO ONE TOLD THEM TO DETAIN HIM. They decided to do that. And brought weapons to pursue an unarmed man over trespassing. Not theft, murder, or even burglary. Ahmaud did not have to stop for these people. He didn't have to talk to them either. And they had no authority to detain or question him anymore than I do you. Once he was faced with a weapon he had to defend himself. Self defense applied. You get that when it comes to the aggressors who brought the weapons, yet you blame Ahmaud when he defends himself. Now THEY are going to be in prison for the rest of their lives where they belong. And so will you some day with that mindset.

      @@1nhonho "And NO ONE TOLD THEM TO DETAIN HIM". An unknown black man had been seen repeatedly prowling in that house at least 5 times in the wee hours of the night. A local cop had previously asked Greg to watch the house for the owner who lived there Mr. English (because he knew he was a former cop). He was asked to look for suspicious behavior so he probably felt responsible for identifying a suspect. Mr. Albenzi and Greg were both outside in their front yards when Albenzi saw Arbery coming out of the house. Albenzi picked up his cell phone and was calling police and when Arbery saw him and he began to run. Albenzi signaled Greg with a hand gesture to chase Arbery. Greg saw Arbery hauling ass past him out of the neighborhood and wanted only to question him about why he kept coming to that house (was he looking for something to steal?). He wanted to help the local cops to identify him and give him a trespassing ticket. Prowling at night is a misdemeanor and if they could say it was him on the videos the felony probationer would have gotten years in jail and Arbery knew this.

      He was doing exactly what is expected of his criminal culture when it comes to getting involved in the kkk mentally of assaulting Black people, this wasn't his first time a man raised in the segregated south; a black man being chased by people he knew, an ex cop and his son. Roddy Bryant wanted to be in on it a coward who knew Ahmud Aubrey was unarmed, because he was running away. In his own words y'all got him and within a few seconds he's in his truck chasing Ahmud Aubrey. And he never calls 911 even after the murder because he believed that Ahmud Aubrey had to be doing something or why else would two white men be chasing a Black man. Roddy Bryant's own upbringing is what got him involved, and he's guilty as hell. But what I do feel sorry for is he had the worst possible defense attorney money could afford.

      Ahmaud would be alive today if he hadn't attacked Travis. All he had to do was stop and he would have been detained for the cops and he would have been left alive but in jail for misdemeanor prowling while on felony probation. You or I would have stopped but crazy Arbery didn't act normal in the situation where a man had a gun in his hand.

    This buffoon of a trial attorney is delivering what has to be among the worst closing arguments in human history. He must think the jury is stupid:
    ▪︎ His attempts at self deprecating statements are transparently manipulative.
    ▪︎ He purposely finds the most number of words to say the simplest things.
    ▪︎ His description of his client is almost entirely irrelevant.
    ▪︎. His "Let me take you back in time..." pitch and related quips are entirely irrelevant, annoying and wasteful if the jury's time.
    ▪︎ His "we lawyers have been taught never to say this...what we say is not evidence..." is a restatement of what the judge has said innumerable times and surely doesn't trick the jury into thinking he's particularly honest - to the contrary, it comes across as transparently disingenuous.
    ▪︎. His close is replete of instances where he stands on ceremony over meaningless details as if they are critical pieces of evidence demonstrating his client's innocence - for example, he says, "If you watch carefully, you see Mr. Brian pulls out from his driveway to the left, then backs up and straightens out his truck and pulls to the right, when the evidence actually shows Mr. Brian pulled straight out...." Wha...huh? So what?
    ▪︎ His "Awe shucks..." lawyer shtick isn't fooling anyone. He's a terrible attorney, totally out classed by the polish, persuasiveness and organization of the prosecution.
