Thanks for the detailed tutorial. As a person newly back to sewing, I've forgotten so much, and am able to rely on your videos to get that muscle memory back. So many new ideas too. I thought that making a few pillows might be a good way to help me get back into it, when I discovered this great video. So much easier to follow what you showed, and not wonder why things aren't working. It's encouraging.
Thank you, you helped make a pretty but large quilt block be either a wall hanging or ready for a pillow. It will be a beautiful gift. I would not complete a single project without your videos. Sincere hugs to you both and the film/edit/post crew.
Incredible tutorial! I came across you by accident and so glad I did. You are very easy to follow. Thanks for all of your hard work getting these videos up. You are my favorite and I'm passing the word to my quilting friends. :) God Bless
Ruffled pillows remind me of my home economic days :) ---not to mention i can't remember how long it's been since I've made a ruffled pillow! They are still just as beautiful. I love the idea of the long arm stitching on the pillow top and will have to give it that a try in the future. Thanks for the wonderful ideas.
First and foremost I love all things Jordan Fabrics. Donna, you are my favorite quilting video maker, bar none. You are gifted in teaching, I scan my UA-cam and mail in the morning hoping to see a video from you... you gave great in instructions today on “scooching “ .🙂. Still hoping someday for a discussion on your lovely nails. #love all things Jordan Fabrics! Glenda
That ruffle technique is amazing. I was looking for a ruffle tutorial for a baby blanket I making. I tried your technique and it worked GREAT!!! Unbelievable. Thank you!!
thank you Donna for all your suggestions they are very helpful. I've always shyed away from doing ruffles, I'm going to try your way. I love all your projects too. hope to make it out to your place in the near future & meet both you and Matt.. thank you again 🤗
So beautiful! I LOVE your easy to follow instructions and tricks ❤ I'm new to quilting myself, but I am absolutely loving it so far! My husband's grandma taught me how to use a sewing machine and surger and even gave me my first two machines. She's teaching me how to quilt to! My eyes have been opened to a wonderful hobby and I love her for it! Hoping I can visit your shop one day and meet you guys ❤❤
I just tried your technique for ruffles, wow I wish I had known about this year ago. I don't have that foot but it still turned out great. I love it. The ruffle is perfectly spaced. Thank you so much for your tutorials. Kim
Thank you Donna for this video. I will rewatch it again before trying to make a ruffled pillow. I'm going to purchase one of those feet for my new sewing machine. I can see it will come in handy thanks again.
Thank you for a wonderful tutorial. In the UK we call pillows cushions and pillows are what you lay your head on in bed. I have made lots of these cushions/pillows in the past but not as easily as you demonstrate and I will definitely use this method in the future. I love the idea of using a shirting foot too. Thank you so much for your fab ideas.
Just love those pillows. Another great tutorial, and what an easy way to make the ruffles. Your instructions are so explicit, I could watch you all day! Many thanks from OZ
I have got to have one of those shirring feet! I have always made ruffles using the parallel lines of stitching and drawing up the bobbin thread to the correct size ruffle - a very tedious process to be sure. Learning so much from you. Thank you
I was looking for how to make a ruffled pillow with cording and found your video. Even though it doesn't have cording, you had enough good hints that this old pillow maker will hopefully make even better pillows! Thank you for your video.
Donna, I have detested making ruffles for years. I look forward to trying this method. I love your tutorials!!! You make everything look so.easy! Thank you!!
I love your videos. Have watched several. And every time I watch I wonder about your sewing machine. It's so unusual!! Thanks for all your inspiration!!
Thanks for this tutorial, I didn't know there was a ruffling foot out there....a couple of months ago I did my first ruffled pillow, but did the ruffle by hand and then sewed it in by machine. I enjoyed it so much, much easier than I first thought. However, I am happy to learn your trick on the corners, since one of mine eventually got caught and I had to undo and restitch it twice.....
Thank you for this tutorial and pinning it down did work, I made two of these people for a friend and she loved them, and I just used muslin for the ruffles to make them old time looking!
Omg..how i wish i could buy now my own sewing machine i really want to start sewing but i can't still afford it for now due to so many expenses here at home as my first priority, for now i will just keep on watching with your channel as i was so amazed and so empressed starting from your quilt now your throw pillow..i really love it so much and thank you for sharing this wonderful ideas.
