i don't think this view is correct. Leon Parera's driver and any issues the driver has with Leon Parera is his own matter to bear. It is a matter between employer-employee. Is the driver a WP member? I don't remember there being any info that the driver is a WP member. Even if Pritam Singh wants to interview the driver - why does the driver need to compell to the interview request? Also, even if the interview goes through - and the driver gives all the spicy info about the affair. Pritam would still need to corroborate with the couple right? And that he did (even without the interview) - and they lied and now they have resigned (if not Pritam did say he would have sacked the both of them)
The driver is not employed by WP, therefore the issue is not within the "organisation". So what authority does PS has over the driver who is an external entity. If a friend of my son tells me my son has committed theft, what authority then do i have to interview the friend and am i even obliged to do so?

If so, I am disgusted by both parties....but the PAP started this gutter politics first.

I am afraid that may escalate into street violence. Hope you will consider my suggestions.
Singaporeans at large seem to highly regard lawyers (perhaps also because LKY was also a lawyer) but elsewhere in developed nations, lawyers are seen as shady blood-suckers with no moral compass, the scums of any society and the butt of many a joke. Here's one I recall of a comic sketch: A boy and his mother pass by a gravestone with the following inscription - "Here lies a lawyer and a good man". Whereupon the boy asks his mother: "Why do they bury two men in one grave?"! (the moral - no lawyer can ever be a good man!)
Vikram Naive is wasting time. The creation and the uncanny timing of the Perera/Seah video leak does suggests it was a black operation. The intention of the exposure is more likely to damage the reputation of an organization rather than to safeguard it against unethical behaviour of its staff.

Sweeping problems under the carpet .... If this is how our 'leaders' manage simple issues like adultery within their party, then can anyone guess what they do with bigger and more important issues?
Hahahaha. Here on the internet we have people writing to advocate the public not to pry into the private lives of the politicians that are caught in scandals and be moral police to judge and condemn them while in parliament house itself we have the whole house with everyone of them asking how things happened, what was done to restore the image and credibility of the political party and both sides taunt each other trying to attack and take a dig at each other integrity, trustability and morality. In simple words it means outside some of the public might be moral police and kaypoh chees and some are soothsayers trying to encourage the public not to get involved and worked up in the private lives of others but inside the parliament house the entire lot of them are responsible for providing the fuel and drama non stop by dedicating multiple sessions of parliamentary meeting to talk non stop on these matters. The madness of it all. No eyes to see this country anymore. The unwashed mass can be forgiven for not knowing better but when the so called creme of the crop in the country are doing these nonsense and gossips instead of their sworn national duties it is truly a disgrace to watch and listen to them already. If you are able to qualified to be in parliament you are supposed to be an elite and intellectual higher developed than the common people outside but ask yourselves what have you all been doing all these time in the parliament house. Theatrics, schemes and time wasting red herring endeavours. You all have become lost in life by now already without even realising it.

If Singapore govt refers itself to a MNC and its ministers are entitled to the similar high pay as MNC's directors, then their performances should also be justified similarly as MNC's directors. TCJ should have been fired for his lousy performance as the Manpower Minister back in 2012 and should not be transferred to another high position with high pay and then committed adultery with a female MP subsequently. In this case, PM like the CEO, takes full responsibility of his subordinates' performance. In MNCs no one is irreplaceable. Even if CEO performs badly, he has to resign. Remember, you are paid by the public, that's why you are called the public servant. The public expect your high pays ties closely with your excellent performances. Nothing more than that!!!

He too knew about the affair long before the release of the video (by the driver?) because the affair was not carried out covertly or discreetly. It was a prized catch? Pritam's hands were forced once the incriminating video was circulated and PAP took action on its own accord. Pritam using his legal schooling to smoke and smoke if you listen carefully or read between the lines.
Lolz u obviously a WP IB... If someone accused your MPs of conduct issues, even if it's a soon to be fired disgruntled employee, wouldn't you interview the person? U can still dismiss the allegations thereafter. Also, the video itself stands as corroborative evidence, so u have an accuser with a video, and ur WP only asked the accused for their responses, and not the accuser.
Wish Pritam could have been more upfront like PM Lee. Address the issue and say where u fell short. Pritam has ignored a credible source even though he has no corroboration. Whistleblowers seldom do.
This Pritam is very like Tharman... ... Talk talk talk talk talk talk... ... but even excuses are so ridiculous. In the end, leave things to them and the result... ... hahahahahahahaha... ...
But the game is like this, initially it will be such then a couple of steps then... ... doing nothing, power will roll right to my mouth but... ...
I decide Singapore should have another fate... ... just punishment for being 'like that'. Hee hee hee hee hee... ...
Have fun.
Frankly embarrassing that this issue is being discussed and dug into in parliament. Far more important issues at hand.
I agree. This questioning, the questioning about Iswaran's pay, questioning into the use of tone (rape, etc) are just political jabs that serve frankly no purpose other than to slap dirt on the political opponent.
We need to know why they went to the hotel and any tax payer money involved or not ?
@@bobafett5757 even if they did, you want to waste more taxpayers’ money on investigating?
Both infidelities should be handled within their respective parties. There are more important issues that should be focused on. Why are PHV and car-sharing taking up our COEs and driving up prices, whilst also severely contributing to accidents/offences on the road? Address cost of living (we already know it’s because Singapore has to import everything).
If such trivial matters (whether infidelity is trivial is subjective, in the grand scheme of a COUNTRY, it is trivial IMO) were already kept hidden, imagine what else they are hiding from us Singaporeans who voted for them.

I could care less about the infidelities by the four individuals from both parties. Their infidelities have no impact or consequences on my life nor my family and friends.
You mean these infidelities are the only case of a lack of integrity? I refuse to believe so, I’m sure there are more cases of lack of integrity, lack of morals, corruption and nepotism at the top level of both private and public sectors in Singapore, and that to me, is far more important than airing of dirty laundry in PARLIAMENT.

i don't think this view is correct.

Huh? Why waste time and tax payers' money discussing this in parliamentary session. There are more impending issues to deliberate on. 🤯
Aiyah...both sides had people with indiscretions? I still think a Speaker and an MP affair is more damaging and has a higher conflict of interest than an MP and a member of his party who isn't a MP but that's just my perceived view 😅 Anyways there are more pressing matters like the cost of living, housing, employment of locals, the ratio of new migrants etc to debate about that going in circles and slinging mud at each other....or is this just a way of seeing who is the last man standing? If so, I am disgusted by both parties....but the PAP started this gutter politics first.
Pritam is trying very hard to cover up another take it to grave incident. and cooking up some unbelievable story of why the entire WP team doesn't interview or talk to the driver. if Singapore is rule by WP we are finished
The truth I believe is WP knew about the affair and they decided to cover up because Leon and Nicole are important assets to WP. Another classic take it to Grave..this is bad for the morale and I am sure we will start to see a drop on quality of WP debate henceforth

Isnt clear that Pritam is trying to cover up? Just like he did for Reesah Khan's case where he threw her under the bus.
Answer is no.. the identity of the driver is not protected.. already revealed by saying informant is the driver.
Gentlemen. I am worried what is happening on the street. Such as, not allow to bring water and consume in the coffee shop, extra chilli 15cents, fish soup 4 slices $10, plastic bags charged 10cents at Watson etc. I know those such issues discussed about what had happened in both parties are informative but i am think the parliament should be more concerned on those topics, i have mentioned.
Then anybody interviewed tcj, clh, Michael Palmers driver?

The creation and the uncanny timing of the Perera/Seah video leak does suggests it was a black operation.

No Alcohol I Resign - another ah neh liability.
