Dining Review on Cunard's Queen Elizabeth in the Queen's Grill

- One of the most amazing perks of staying in the Queen's Grill rooms is the opportunity to dine at the Queen's Grill. In this video we try to show every meal that we had onboard our cruise, as well as some of the added experiences such as the Verandah Steakhouse and the canapes that came with our Theatre Box booking.
We just got back from a cruise on the Queen Elizabeth and loved the dining experience in the Queen ‘s grill

I was curious if you were in the Queens grill if you would bother doing the specialty restaurants. So it was really nice to see your review of the Veranda. I think we’ll give that a go as well when we take our cruise this November. We are the queen Mary, instead of the queen Elizabeth. But I suspect it’ll be just as good.

Well presented. Good photography and narration. If you don’t like this type of service or formality, don’t take Cunard. The entire cruise industry is so highly segmented, you can pick the line appropriate to you.
I absolutely agree. It is one of the reasons why I love watching the videos of other people's trips. Really lets you understand what the vibe will be like.
Thank you for posting this. Almost four months ago we disembarked the QE in Vancouver and I am still suffering withdrawal symptoms. Perhaps I shouldn't watch these reminiscences, but I can't help it. It was our fourth time on the QE and the first time in Queens Grill. We didn't see caviar on the menu (a friend asked us about it, but we don't like it) and there was no sign of a traditional Caesar salad being prepared tableside. Maybe the trolley was far from us, and we couldn't see it and didn't ask. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience in QG - and the suite was the best accommodation we have had on any ship, even better than on the QM2. I hope we can back on soon.

Excellent video. Appreciate your measured commentary. We’re sailing in the Princess Grill on July 26 for two weeks and look forward to the more formal experience. Agree with you, it’s not for everyone, so don’t waste your money if the hurried, more casual experience is your thing. Thank you!

Very informative video. My wife and I are looking at a Cunard cruise to Alaska in 2025 and will go for the Queens Grill level experience. A couple of questions; We are looking at a Queens Grill Penthouse suite - do you have any tips on what are the best suits to choose? In the Queens Grill restaurant, is a tie and jacket, or suit required? and can you choose where to sit in the restaurant? We absolutely want to have a private table to ourselves - were they available? Many thanks for any advice you can provide. Cheers.
We had a month long cruise on the QM2. We lost weight and got fitter. We were nice and trim. It was so easy. We just cut out all high carb foods and most sugared foods. Even though the desserts looked tempting there was more than plenty good food to choose from. Much better than being a slob.

I wasn't sure if I'd want to upgrade to the Queen's Grill, but watching this video gave me all the information I'd need to make a decision.
I learned that the Queen's Grill is a different experience. The quality and variety of food certainly isn't lacking. It's wonderful to return to the same waiters and have long leisurely meals. On a voyage with good company, the Queen's Grill could easily be ideal. It looks like a perfect place to enjoy long conversations and build relationships.
For my likely personal situation and what I'd want for my first time on the Queen Mary 2, I don't think I'd take my meals at the Queen's Grill. Instead, I'd explore more of the variety of the ship. But on a subsequent voyage, perhaps the Grill experience would be most appropriate.
I'm going to try to find similar video tours of the other dining classes, but I don't think they'll be as thorough and enjoyable as this one! This was a very relaxing little vacation break. I've actually no plans to book a voyage or cruise at the moment, but this was a very pleasurable fantasy experience. Thank you very much!

We are sailing on the QE in the Queen's Grill for 13 nights on August 9th. The food looks great and your video was very informative and appreciated. In your experience was prime rib available as a menu option? The burger served in the Golden Lion Pub looked amazing and when we embark, I am making a beeline to it to enjoy a burger.
You’re going to have so much fun. I can’t see why it wouldn’t be as they serve it at the Verandah and the QG allows you to order off menu. Please let me know how you go.

They absolutely will - my favourite part is watching them make the Caesar salad at the table.

If you are going to do a dining review video, show the menus. Closely and pause long enough for them to be read. Your video was a bunch of dishes- what were they?

The ship is getting old and boring. Just came back from 16 days Cunard. It degraded a lot. food quality and quantity BAD. especially at the Lido. Super short handed. It is at the Carnival cruise style. No dance host, no queens room Hostess, no professional dancer exhibition, etc. will not recommend for this price ( we are diamond on Cunard, not a newbie)
We were looking at booking another cruise with them, but then Disney decided to come to Australia!
Maybe, just maybe, there isn't the demand for dance hosts and dance exhibitions any more.
