What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Oh I would see that 😩
It's even funnier because he's bi in the new season.
@@rk-iw1inbro definitely was fruity from the beginning
The only thing i don't like about this scene is that it makes us believe they are going to deal with every hero in a similar manner. Find out their weakness and then find out ways to use them for the kill
That's basically how the comics go, and likely what they had planned, to follow the source material closer. Then for some reason they go completely off the rails, not sure why, but the show is better for it imo. The comics are fun, but good storytelling they ain't.
You can't kill off the the Deep or A-trains lol!
I feel you but Im not upset either. It'd be far more challenging to get good story if every episode you killed a new hero. I like the long, drawn out rivalries they got going at the moment. Granted, I don't want it to turn into the typical "Unkillable character" bullshit, I like my characters to be at risk of death, but I don't want them dying out so quickly so that it becomes predictable.
I really thought that's how it would go, with Homelander being their final boss, but then they don't do that anymore.
@@Slemoster It doesn't have to be every episode.
I'm surprised Translucent didn't start screaming so maybe Homelander could hear him, I know The Boys could rush in and stun him but at least he should try
They probably soundproof the room.
he still has that bomb in his rectum, so maybe he was motivated by self preservation to not bring about a situation in which the boys wouldn’t have anything to lose by setting it off
Because then they would just kill him. Homelander would kill them either way, so might as well take translucent with them. His best bet to survive was to actually hope homelander *wouldn’t* find him and then convince The Boys he was he was more useful alive
It's been a while since I've seen it but would he need to yell? Pretty sure they mentioned at one point he can hear people's heart beat and knows when they're lying or scared. He probably knows if he's not looking for him yelling wouldn't help, and if he was homelander would be able to hear him talking normally just as well as him yelling.
Plus homelander is crazy. Maybe he thought if he yelled for help homelander would think he's useless and either just leave him to die, save him then kill him himself, or kick him off the team. So he probably thought not calling for help was his best chance.
Isn’t the room soundproof?
I completely lost it, the moment Frenchy started explaining 😂😂😂 He's like so excited and enthusiastic
If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.
2:59 I love the way Transculent says "Homelander"
It kinda strikes fear to the audience
There’s something scary about Season 1 Homelander
Seeing a Homelander fly around in the surveillance Camera is genuinely terrifying imo.

There’s just something about Homelander that scares me whenever his name gets mentioned or he’s simply on screen.
Btw if u like Antony Starr go check his previous Tv series called *Banshee*
Such a strange power translucent has, invisible skin+Diamond hard skin, never seen this combination before
And unlike Soldier Boy, he's soft on the inside
He doesn't exist in the comics so no deeper explanation but I think that the way he becomes invisible is why his skin is impermeable, some carbon molecule structure that bends light. I think they mention it in a line somewhere.
It could be that his diamond skin composition is what allows him to go invisible. For all we know, his invisibility is just a side-benefit of his hard skin lol.
They explained that he can manipulate the carbon composition in his skin to make him transparent and also form them into a diamond-like matrix.
He has been inspired from Emma Frost from X men . Skin is as hard as diamond , invincibility and mind reading ( I think she was in The Days of the Future past or something )
.
Kinda wish they'd put a bit more thought into it and based more of the series about stuff like this. Finding weaknesses and exploiting them to kill supes would make for a great series. Show's still pretty good but I'd be much more excited for a series of guys winning by being smart and hardcore instead of lucky half of the time.
Sure, then again the comic did that and it's pretty bad ngl.
@@TheBearOfSpades Honestly, the comic rarely did that. Garth Ennis couldn't be bothered.
So the main characters had Compound V in their and they just beat up their targets, no cunning involved.
Maybe better for a video game.
I feel like after a while it would get boring to see them just do the same thing, I like the drama and relationships the show’s been building

Season 1 was so good
It was perfect I'd say.
It’s good because there wasn’t too much going on and homelander was scary as shit
I hope they bring back Translucent's corpse. His skin is still durable and invisible, possibly making for shield that could reflect Homelander's lasers like it does other forms of light.
They gave all his remains to vought. And there were buried.
He's invisible, I would image the light would pass through, in effect.
@@user-dt7vt3cm2b 1) Buried things can be exhumed. 2) Vought lies a lot and it very well could be in a storage facility or lab.
@@debrachambers1304 No, his skin is reflective and bends light around himself to appear invisible, but he's still a solid object. He's essentially a walking prism.
@@samwildstein2092 Your idea works if someone gets inside of his body.
I wished the show still had the whole "hunt and kill corrupted supes with with and tricks"
Knowing S4 Frenchie, one wonders HOW he placed the "material" in there.
One would say, one wouldnt wonder HOW he placed the “material” in there, if you catch my drift 😉😉
HAHA he has experience. Just FYI he was established as bi in season 2.
"A lump of plastique" 💀
What killed me in this scene was homelunder coming for translucent
I really like the early parts where they would show homelander just flying past the boys, it had a sense of tension
they really jobbed homelander in s4e3. look how scared hughie is in this scene. then homelander can't see him in the ceiling in s4.
Homelander couldn't see him because those vents were galvanized, meaning they had zinc in them. Homelander can't see through zinc.
Me when I don’t pay attention to the episode
I miss season one where the boys had to outthink the supes
Excellent serious!

Hugie is the GOT's equivalent of Sansa stark
Can't wait for him to meet his Ramsey equivalent Bow-Chika-Wow-Wow scene.
I'm a little disappointed, i just realized if his skin is that hard, translucent shouldn't have exploded like this. If the skin is resistant, it also is from the inside, it's just the inner organs that should get destroyed
The skin should have stayed pretty much intact, with only his insides being destroyed, probably drooling out the skin through the eye holes...and other holes available
That would have made an even better scene 😅
The explosion was just that strong
@@KICK839 No. The explosion isn't strong enough to scratch his skin, they admit it by putting the bomb inside him. So the skin shouldn't tear apart when it explodes, but stay more intact
@@JeanVlogDandamme but without his brain making his skin super strong, it would revert to normal flesh? And I mean you guys don't know the science of that dynamite and the inside of the dude's diamond skin, anyways. Although frankly, all of his flesh should be that tough.
I was thinking the same thing, like a super durable bag
Things can have vastly different resistance to kinetic force, depending on the point of attack. (look up "Prince Ruperts Drop" as an example). Also an explosion from within is a lot more destructive, since it has no way to "go around" the target. That being said, making the skin hold would probably be a lot more unique and gruesome visually but also probably a lot more expensive to produce.
I wonder how was translucent like with Homelander.
Im thinking of termite thanusing him if he went into translucent.
Frenchie used to be cool in Season 1.

He's got X-ray vision and super hearing. Apparently not anymore according to season 4 because he can't even find Hughie fumbling around right above him in the vents and running along a walkway just above him.
I think those vents use zinc so his x-ray vision was useless
They are galvanized vents. Galvanized = zinc. And what can’t Homelander see through?
Also they were singing and dancing in the Stadium so that also messed with his hearing

I’m an Aussie, and when Butcher said “Deadly” near the end, all I heard was the actor’s Aussie accent.

Ehy don't they team up with Godzilla and kong this movie oh god 😢
So can translucent die from hunger, suffocating or being held underwater ,,i mean
Absolutely
Not being held under water, they mentioned that some guys already tried to drown him but it didn't work. But he might be able to die from hunger?
I still think it might've made more sense to make him their snitch they could've tortured him mentally manipulated him and basically fucked with his mind so badly that the mere thought of betraying them seemed more horrible than betraying homelander ever could be.
No matter what scene Hughie is in. He always has a stupid look on his face
season 1 of the boys is the best season, grounded, you feel like the characters are actually in danger, the kill of a character means more than only shock value
They truly ditched these to make a bad political satire that only USA people get
Eh no the others are still good
I think people in countries other than America understand the satire - Trump isn’t the only right-wing figure in the world

How did Frenchie become a bisexual man idk...
Not defending the show but he was already bisexual in the comics, and he also mentioned something about that in an earlier season

Idk what happened, season 1 of The Boys was amazing then it became way too political. It became an allegory and or propaganda which insults half its audience instead of just going with the same vibe as season 1. In all honesty it’s the main actors who are literally carrying this show and it shows. Amazon needs to stop making content too political.
Hahaha hahahaha! You just didn’t understand it.
It's definitely satirised both sides of the political aisle which is why it's still so universally acclaimed. Yeah, it probably skews a bit more against authoritarian leaders, but that's to be expected when you're concept is 'what if Superman was basically Hitler' 🤷
Its not even political its just ass. Season 4 is the most boring season so far
The releasing weekly not even weekly since the newest episode would have been 8 days since the last. Is ridiculous to the show is not that good. They are turning streaming stuff into cable. Half of these programs didn’t even have ads back then and now u have to pay for them ad free. It’s sad.
