You've... completely misunderstood his character. He can be good, yes, but he's been consumed by hatred. He only seems good because he's not dealing with supes.
@@ArtFromHer he’s not consumed, otherwise he wouldn’t have kept his promise to Becca. He chose to save Ryan instead of getting his vengeance on Homelander. He’s still decent at his core. Now comics Butcher on the other hand, yeah he’s completely consumed.
@@blackirontarkus3156 You got it very wrong, Butcher is not decent at his core, the whole story is about the guy get beating from child to teenage by a brutal father so much that at his core he is full of hatred, violence & rage as a result of such brutal childhood treatment. Lenny & Becca are the only ones that can pull something good out of Butcher but they gone forever

Useless plot line , killed guy's family and started dating him just to reveal that he killed em in past so they broke up.
It added to frenchie's character only that he is messed up as we saw before season 4 , they had great build up with kimiko but that dissapeared because some guy just appeared from nowhere behind the scenes.
Nobody cares about their relationship because it came from nowhere behind the scenes and now it is probably done , so wasted time in each episode of season 4.
It added nothing just an useless filler which was not needed , maybe it will after the whole season 4 is out but i doubt it.
Edit after S4 finale ... Kimiko and Frenchie are in love confirmed , they kissed , he got over his past no issues like it did not happened , that colin plot line was totally useless filler that could be avoided

after season 3 the show just kind of... dipped. It's still really good but something is just different.
To me it feels like it has no purpose. It's always been kind of round about. But at least in season one we had a really strong opening and resolved most peoples plots other than "kill homelander" then in season 2 we got saving becca and all that jazz which kinda wrapped up butchers plot, other than "kill homelander"
In season 3 it felt a bit more on the rails? with soldier boy being a through line the whole way, and the tension between the group. It was nice, and now for once it wasn't just "kill homelander" but "save ryan" as well.
Now that it's season 4 I guess it's save ryan and kill homelander before butcher dies, but they aren't focusing on that much. It seems like everything else under the sun is happening but that. Butchers parts are the only ones that feel like they have meaning at this point which is... not good compared to earlier.
