I have the same 18650 battery case, those things are great! I built 14 of them last year for family gifts, everyone loves them. Only one of them had an issue.
Both have the same O2 transmission system, the same standard remote controller, same speed and and no obstacle avoidance sensors. Differences are minor, only Mini 3 is compatible with DJI RC remote controller (with integrated display), has a longer flight time due to a better battery (+8min), a larger sensor (1/2.3 vs 1/1.3) and can rotate the gimbal to film 9:16. To me, this does not justify the premium.

or just make it hover above you, grab it at the bottom and tilt it over 45 degrees then it auto turns off

I had to, but it didn't make it into the video. Connect to the app and it will download the firmware. the drone blinks and restarts - that's it!
