Stayed up until 3 in the morning last night trying to decide between these two products. So hard to find a comparison between the two and I found this literally at the perfect time. Thank you so much!
Don't get rid of your mini to get the neo .I made this mistake it feels like a child's toy and it's shit with the slightest bit of wind .I returned back to Amazon next day @@thatdroneguy5686
Neo is on its first firmware. YT video of Neo shooting with RC controller which allows to set e.g. EV, sharpness, manual exposure, color adjustment, ISO shows, that Neo camera can do better that what is currently available in the manual quick shot modes. The question is, if DJI is willing to give additional control for the quick modes. Maybe they prefer a quality gap towards their more expensive dones (I.e. all of them 😅) or they wait for Neo2. If you want better video quality but still low cost don't go for Mini 4k but Mini 3 (much better sensor 4k HDR)
I have mini 3 ( it spent 4 1/2 minutes in 4 ft of river. Ii crashed it. Bought mini 4 pro to replace it and the damn mini 3 dried out and Flys. Go figure. Anyway. I'm waiting on a neo currently. Cheers They both good drones tough choice.
I ordered the Mini 4K - this will be my first drone for learning, I wanted a long battery - in reality, the flight time on one battery in Neo is less than 10 minutes, with the Fly More combo, i.e. 3 batteries, we have about 30 minutes of flight and this is one battery for the Mini 4K
it's almost like the two products are different price points and target markets :) The Neo is a great priced intro. The clever use of new accessories is a gateway into more expensive purchases later... Buy a controller, googles or PFV controller and you already have them and know how to use them when you add an Avata later on, Or Mini... The AI modes to allow following and the kid safe guards make this such a good product even with middling video. But cameras on low end phones have also been pretty ordinary compared to top end models. I think this is a clever product release to combat a competitor that is more expensive and was looking to move upwards and compete against DJIs more expensive drones. So they achieve two aims with the Neo: capture the low end and lock users into the DJI experience.
@@mauricereppin The mini always need the remote control and doesn't have the follow option . Once you get used to the neo autonomous flight, you'll love it
Neo Fly more combo (350 $), which is the package, that comes with RC-N3 controller does NOT cost 199 $. The price comparison at the beginning is not correct. DJI Neo for 199 $ does NOT come with controller. You have to fly it with your phone using WiFi maximum 50 m range and it does not use GPS, so no Return To Home function if you use it without controller.
you can fly the Neo without any phone or controller. to me, this is the main use case for this kind of drone. all Neo shots in this video were done without phone/remote. you can't use the mini 4k without controller. by the way, the mini 4k fly more combi is 430$ Msrp.
@@Unboxingexperience7 mini 4k with 1 controller and 1 battery is 300$. It has better camera and range, than DJI Neo. You have mislead people in the beginning by telling them , that DJI Neo costs only 199$, yeah , but without controller and it is locked to 50 metters, which is pretty much useless if you want to fly more than those 50 metters. DJI Neo for 199$ is only good for close ups and follow ups. And that's it.
I did not mislead anybody. There is no controller next to the Neo when the Msrp is displayed. IMO Neo is only for tracking, it does not make sense to make typical drone shots with the subpar camera, so why bother getting a remote?
@@Unboxingexperience7 In my experience, it has been very very satisfactory, what a desire to put hate to the NEO, we want it for fun, NOT to record Avatar 3, I'm not James Cameron. The NEO's ptarget is not the one of professional drone drivers, so the comparison is not necessary and it is even silly....
@@slavchezthe Neo exists and can work without a controller, so it costs $199. The thing is: is it too limited without more batteries and remote? Yes, too bad. So most will want to go Fly More and for the price… it may be worth to look elsewhere.
I'm in the US market.. the Neo does NOT include a Remote Control in the Fly More Combo sold here.. it appears that the RC is included in most all other markets-countries outside the US
While i am debating. Neo is definitely not going to break easily with my kids playing it. I will just get a mini 4k when the time comes. But i am like ah. I already have the remote and the price point with battery makes it $400 😅
@@Unboxingexperience7 And in real world use if you dont get a controller for the neo you are limiting the neo functions so why waste 200.00 dollars just get the fly more combo with the rc-n3 controller now its 460.00 plus tax
follow mode works better as the drone stays behind you. so it is less likely that it hit something. however, it gets boring. direction tracking allows for different perspectives but is more risky.

nice comparison bro, i just hope Neo 2 gets a better camera. It will be fire then.
I bought both fly more combo like you. So far I'm loving the neo. I'll return the mini
why
would be interested in a Why too :)

Thanks, I was waiting for this comparison
LOOOOL I HAVE BOTH, they are good in their own way
Yip , Neo is nit bad , but not quite great yet . Fingers crossed for a neo pro
the only thing i wish on the neo pro (if only they plan on doing that) is a better battery life like the mini 4k
the best review ever.
love my neo, also waiting for mini 5

You're right. In Europe you get the RC.
good work!!!❤

Can you do neo vs mini 3?
i love the 4k but it would be much better if you could control it with a phone like the spark
But which box do you prefer ?😊
;-) I prefer the Mini 4k box, it is more elaborated. The Neo is only put in a plastic bag inside the box.
As soon as I saw the internal memory only for the Neo, I went NOPE.
BRO: how much vertical height in Neo ?
you mean max altitude? 30m with palm start / app. with remote you are not limited by the software and rather by the battery
Mantap bro salam kenal 👍✌️
What is if I only have 1200 budget, which one is the best
For fpv in my opinion i would go for avata 2, but for normal cinematic drones i would say mini 4 pro
Or mavic pros
Dji mini 4 pro fly more combo with RC 2 remote
neo is perfect for first times like me who don't want to lose an expensive drone.
great 🏂
Is it possible to take longer quickshots with the NEO using the controller?
you can increase the distance in the app but it maxes out at 50m
can dji neo use mini 4k RC ?
Yes. It works with the RC-N3. But not with the RC-N1 of my Mini 4k
