One extra supertip about cruisecontrol: when in cruisecontrol you can adjust the movement of the drone with the sticks and then “update the cruisecontrol” by pressing cruisecontrol again, thus adding that new movement to your existing cruisecontrol …
You can stack cruise moves i.e. forward(cruise), then up(click cruise), then like turn left(click cruise), when you cancel it cancels all your cruise moves
Great Video! I've been experimenting with using cruise control and the left joy stick to yaw the drone left or right at a steady, smooth rotation. This allows me to record a 360 panoramic video of the landscape I am flying in. The cruise control allows me to avoid the jerks and unsteadiness that can bedevil a shot that takes 30 to 60 seconds. PLEASE continue to do more of these types of videos.
This is such a great way to use the cruise control feature! I definitely overlooked it at first, but I've since realized how powerful and useful it can be!
Thanks for another great video. Just ordered the cheat sheets (and the mini 4 pro ones). Going to print them, get them laminated and keep in my camera bag. As a relatively new drone user I often forget about all the features/settings and find myself out and about trying to view your videos on YT to get the answers - these will be a game changer.
One more tip is that you can combine Spotlight with Cruise Control, automating even more movements, and allowing additional stick input for more complex movements. Plus you can continually update Cruise Control for new movements as needed, and can still add manual stick movements along the way. Great video, thank you!
This was a great video! I have a (DJI mini 4 pro drone)! After watching your video I have a better understanding on how to use the cuisine control for videos and understanding how to use the compass! Thanks
Another brilliant video...still trying to master active view...i'm using the RC-N2 with iPad and it doesnt seem to like it...I'll be going out on friday and saturday so I'll let you know if i get it on or not...nd tht cruise control might be a bit of a mini mission in itself...cheers bro 🤜💥🤛
15:24 I wonder if this also works in Photo mode? This could have come in handy earlier today when I was doing a photogrammetry flight as I kept having to stop and hover a bit to adjust those two settings. Awesome to know you can do that with the combo. Happy Days
Goodday MR. Mathew... I'm interested in the accessory you're using to mount more action cams on a long rail... (at 5:15 about) on your webpage I could not find it.... If you have the time to reveal the secret to me... I would be happy! The rail and the way it's mounted/the ballhead... Happy Days and thanks in advance!
That mic would also be good to record ambient sound where the drone is flying without recording the actual sound of the drone. So if you’re by the beach it will record the sound of the waves as you fly along the beach. This would add much more depth to your videos.
I always appreciate and enjoy your tip videos. Even though I have learned some of these things before I tend to forget a fair bit over time due to not using them regularly. Thank you for this refresher.
Amazing video! Ton of new things... Also, when using the spotlight feature you can also change the altitude while orbiting the drone around the subject to get a different cinematic shot
You got such a way to tickle my curiosity that I can’t skip any of your video. Even if I don’t own a mini 4 pro yet (stillI have 2 mini 2!) It will be in my next bucket list (I’m curious to know if DJI will improve more this drone? Which is pretty impressive right now!) Thanks for passing your passion to us, it’s great to have quality info and update. Cheers (from CDN)
What is the brand name of your gloves? I live in Michigan and could use a pair like that. Do you have to expose your fingertips to touch the RC2 screen or can you use the gloves with finger tips closed?
Great video! I’ve never tried spotlight mode but I’ll have to do it now. I’ve tried similar maneuvers manually previously and they’re quite tricky. This should certainly help. As for cruise control.. again I’ve never tried it. The problem I’ve got with my Mini 4 Pro is that I have the C1 button allocated to switching the light on/ff (I like it! 😃) and C2 rotates the camera of course. However.. I have just bought an Air 3S. and I’ve allocated its C1 to cruise control. Just tried it indoors and it works. Can’t wait to try it properly outside 😃 Thanks Steve
Using Spotlight mode in combination with Cruise Control is a tip you posted on an earlier video. Recently, I traveled to the UK and I used this technique quite a lot and got some really great shots. So thanks a lot for that. BTW, I used the technique to video quite a few castles.
A big Thanks Mathew for such great video I just learnt something new I will give that ago when next time I fly my mini 4 pro and use the C button and the gimbal wheel to control the ISO and Shutter Speed, will this function work as well on the Air 3 S? Also you have answered another question in the video seeing the mic mini works with the RC2 controller, I will certainly be buying a mic mini now. Absolutely brilliant! Thanks for your help and getting back on answering to my previous question about FPS.
I’m always keeping an eye out for you or your drone Creative! I live in NI too and you have helped me become a better pilot especially with my new mini 3 on the way for Xmas!!! Upgrading from a DJI Spark
Fantastic tutorial, I didn't know about that last tip where I can adjust the Shutter or ISO with the scroll wheel and function buttons, thanks Matthew.
Thanks for sharing these tips, I can’t wait to try them out. Something I have found to assist in syncing the screen video’s audio track to the drone video is file a stopwatch video display showing minutes, seconds and milliseconds mm:ss:m. This is so much easier for me over the hand clap.
Try using cruise control while in spotlight mode , save you using any fingers while orbiting etc , did you know you can stack the cruise control commands ?
Not so much a tip or trick, but more of a feature request. It is currently quite fiddly to start or stop a screen recording. It would be great to have a ‘soft button’ or physical control on the screen or the controller to turn this feature on or off. Just like there currently is for video recording on or off for example. It should be very easy for DJI to add this. I have often wondered why it is not there already. Keep up the good work!
Do you have a video that teaches how to edit a drone video? Where do you edit your videos how do you edit your videos? Why on the remote it says low res when looking back at your videos
Truly great educational video. I really wonder why you didn't get hit the 1 million mark. All the best to reach thee son and give us more useful tips..
I think you could have utilized the active track better on the mini 4 by setting your height and drawing the autonomous Direction you wanted to fly in it will still stay directly behind you and go higher if that's what you choose the direction to be
I have both mini 4 pro and mavic 3 pro ( also an inspire and mavic 2 pro but rarely use them ) and after the last update using my return to home ( low battery) my mini4pro did its return to home thing but to an entirely different location … very nearly lost the drone so be aware DJI have done something untoward in the update 🤷🏻♂️
@@TheDroneCreative Actually right now I have no drone - the last one is lost in the ocean and I am not sure if I am to late in the market for a mini 4 pro - but waiting is not my thing. so maybe i`ll try the neo and wait with it for the 5 mini... while watching your tipps & tricks. so again, thanks for that!
Hi, I'd like to buy the DRONE CREATIVE (generic), but sistem doesn't accept my italian credit card and I do not why! Is there another paymant method? PayPal? Thank You.
Surely good tips but are they only valid for Mini 4 pro? My stuff is a Mini 3 pro and a Mavic 3 pro... Just circled around a church in only a few degree C. No problem! Making flights where sitting in the car works, any object can be recorded, any day. Today it was 3 hours of recording.
Got any tips or tricks that make the Mini 4 Pro even better? Share them in the comments below!

I truly believe that you are the best drone teacher around.
7:40 you can also combine spotlight and (stacked) cruise control :)
Great Video! I've been experimenting with using cruise control and the left joy stick to yaw the drone left or right at a steady, smooth rotation. I thought I had done that in the past, but lately it doesn't work. Has the new update changed something?
Cruise control possible on dji neo?
This was a great video! I have a (DJI mini 4 pro drone)! After watching your video I have a better understanding on how to use the cuisine control for videos and understanding how to use the compass! Thanks
All new informations…. Thanks so much, your videos are very very helpful all the times!
What about “rising AND moving backwards”? Does cruise control do this too?
Absolutely useful!!! Thanks a lot from 🇦🇹

Need to double check but pretty sure this also works for Photo mode!

What about cruise control during spotlighting function… does it work like this absolutely on its own???
Pity that the RC2 does not work in bluetooth mode when using a wireless mic, the Osmo Action 5 can record 2 Mic Minis on bluetooth at the same time .
Where can I get these cheat sheets? Great video as usual!
I always appreciate and enjoy your tip videos. Even though I have learned some of these things before I tend to forget a fair bit over time due to not using them regularly. Thank you for this refresher.

Thank you! Was actually doing a similar move with my Air3s yesterday using Spotlight mode and the 3x tele camera. Made for a really interesting shot!

Can you use the sticks to control the camera while the drone itself is in cruise control?
Just got my mini 4 so the timing of this is *chef kiss*

Does the standard Mini 3 has 'cruise control'?
Great tips, thanks!!
Is it possible to “relocate”the home point on the location of the controller position??? For example… if you moved away from the home point!!!
You take the guesswork out of "how to do" things. Do you have any video about the DJI FPV or Mavic Pro with zoom ?
The RC2 controller also has a built-in microphone, no need for using an external one other if higher audio quality is required.
Awesome video so much usable information. Thank you.

Sorry to be a pain but what model of the mic mini (& price) do you recommend?
Love the content of this video
danke für ausführliche erklärung👍
Excellent advice and tips. Thanks.

Very cool video. My question is: will the mic work with the N2 control?
Not the controller itself, but you can plug it into your phone while it’s attached to the controller and record that way!
@ but if the phone is plugged into the N2, how can I plug the mic as well? Pls?
@@jjjrgycia4920 With the Mic Mini you can connect the transmitter to your phone via bluetooth.
Another brilliant tutorial Matthew! Top man, thanks mate!!👌👊

You’re the best ! Great information, thanks 🙏
Good enlightenment, thank you for giving me new knowledge to try on my dji 4pro drone, continue to give us knowledge, have a nice day Sir.
Great tips thanks so much😊
Great video.
Very helpful, thank you. I really need to upgrade to a M4P once the hysteria subsides here in the USoA.

Do these work on the mini 3 Pro?
Thank you
How do You sync the audio recorded by the controller with the drone recording?
RC2 2.... What about other controllers like RC or RC pro?
I have both mini 4 pro and mavic 3 pro ( also an inspire and mavic 2 pro but rarely use them ) and after the last update using my return to home ( low battery) my mini4pro did its return to home thing but to an entirely different location … very nearly lost the drone so be aware DJI have done something untoward in the update 🤷🏻♂️

Very informative video. Thanks.
What if you use POI instead of spotlight?
POI will work if you want to do an orbit, but with Spotlight you can do any move you want.
@@TheDroneCreative You can still change the elevation even in POI mode. I guess if you want to control the movement then spotlight makes sense.
that audio recording is awesome, thanks for sharing 😮❤
Rode mic 🎙️ 🙃
Excellent video. If I had you as a teacher in school, I would have made better grades. 😊
