I love how they're both so distracted enjoying each other's company that they completely forget that their date is simply a promotional stunt set up by the movie studio they work for.
Watching this again as I commit but apparently they fell for one another right
When she's visibly charmed by the fake teeth reveal, that looks like TRUE LOVE.
I couldn't kiss him after that 🙈
@@kazbah1217 could you fix to be friendly?
@@jqyhlmnp never!
I have a denture and I can confirm that these gags is a showstopper
@@kazbah1217but in an industry full of people playing pretend, he wasn’t. And she liked it
He was the best thing about this movie. I’m still glad he got cast as Han.
great in this movie....pity about star wars
Ya he is very talented
Veronica Osorio was absolutely adorable in this scene
I want to see her in a romantic comedy with the guy
@@Abebabe413 I want to see them in a movie...as those charcaters...starring in a movie...A Hobie Doyle Western lol
Also the one where they first meet!!
I guess I can see why they picked him to play Han Solo. He has a certain charm to him...not necessarily the same as Harrison Ford’s, but he’s still charismatic in his own right.
Yeah, but crucially *NOT* in the lovable rogue sense.
Dejen de romper las pelotas y disfruten las películas.
He’s lovable in a luke skywalker way… not han solo way
He honestly would fit right into Star Wars as an original character.
Plenty of bounty hunters, smugglers, and rogues in that universe, but strangely not a lot of cowboys.
Something that a lot of people don't pick up on: this is basically the same scene as the "would that it t'were so simple" scene: he's flirting with a girl when he sees a bag he doesn't expect to see, and then gets to distracted thinking about the bag that he stops paying attention to her entirely. So we get to see the same scene the way "old hollywood" would do it and the way "modern hollywood" would do it. Most of the other "fake movie" scenes have a similar parallel scene elsewhere in the movie.
whoooeee that's a sharp eye you got there, friendo
Genius.
Biff’s grip!
damn...now I got to watch it over again
Spaghetti western.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE
Oh my god how did I not pick up on that
You had me at spaghetti.
@@koffinradio That's my favorite quote from Jerry Maguire.
He was the best part of this movie, which is saying a lot considering the all-star cast
That's a strong ass noodle.
cap Townes obviously, but it's portraying a strong ass noodle.
The noodle is probably undercooked
Meto Kyan, it’s called Al Dente
favourite date scene in all of cinema
people think hobie is just a simpleton but eddie saw something more in him and hobie's loyalty to the studio should be rewarded. i like hobie and i think he and that girl would become a big-time hollywood couple and make a classic musical.
This is what happens when Rick Dalton makes spaghetti westerns for six months.
Bro he can play a young Indiana Jones too with the whip.
Calum Saban-Furlong modern day Harrison Ford
"I got roped into it" holy shit
Coming into this clip blind was incredibly disorientating.
Just watched this film and I want to see a Comedy/Romance with these two
Who wouldn't fall for this guy?
He's our Han Solo
Star Wars fans who hated Last Jedi
Yohan Alexander lol 😂
would that it were so simple.
Star Wars geeks, but they hate everything.
1:31 suddenly begin to sing along to the big band music. what a classic hollywood mood!
Tilda playing identical twins competing in the same field is such a Coen brothers move.
Tilda is simply incredible.
0:25 they cast him to first do a young Solo, and now I'm convinced they'll use him for a young Indiana Jones, too.
JayDay60 oh my, please don't.
tomjamapz You didn’t like him in Solo?
Tilda Swinton attempting an American accent and slipping in English ends up creating a perfect Trans Atlantic accent
I love the line with mannix..."...rrrrunning it tomorrow!"
Don't know if she slipped up. She's playing twins that are also rivals. The cheerful one is displaying a more American accent, and the grumpy one remains British.
Man, Han Solo has charm
Alden Ehrenreich is actually such a great actor. It's a shame that the dumpster fire that was Solo really hurt his career. Maybe small but impactful part in Oppenheimer will help revive his career.
Fixin to be friendly.. love it.
This scene makes me realize how cynical many movies have gotten nowadays...
Hummingbird wdum ?
It was cynical back then, too -- the idea that these people were actually good and decent to each other, and genuinely enjoyed one another's company, was the way to subvert those cynical expectations here. =)
@@jimluebke3869 no. They weren't. The film industry became cynical when the commies invaded Hollywood.
@@anon9060 .... Did you watch this movie?
Seriously, manufactured romances for the sake of publicity were very common back then. The fact that these two actually got along, was worth a happy laugh.
Another thing I noticed about this movie -- everyone in it is deeply flawed in some way.
Except the woman in this scene, who makes her living dancing with fruit on her head. That's worth another happy laugh right there. The Coen brothers can be absolutely brilliant.
@@anon9060 Imagine being this stupid
Ladies and gentlemen...our new Han Solo!
ok
0:38 Her laugh is so cute! 🥰
I don't know about you, but I think they look like a cute couple!
This movie's a mixed bag at best but scenes like this one make it absolutely worth it
I have a good feeling about this...
I love this movie so much.
They're so cute.
"this is Atalian origami"
I can't believe how charming and beautiful this woman is
They are both really good, what a shock that teeth thing was ha ha. I hope people dont blame him for the mess Solo:a star wars story is possibly going to be
Ron Wylie he has no charisma and is nothing compared to harrison
ManUnited 20times you'll see how wrong you are. And whats the point of being so closed minded?
ManUnited 20times how would you know? People like you are just strange - you make assumptions and act like they’re simply true because you think them - maybe realize that you didn’t know Harrison Ford had any charisma until you saw him in the role on screen actually
He definitely has a certain charming charisma to him, but a different kind than the smug/cocky one Harrison played as Han. Alden is definitely a good actor, but maybe not a perfect choice for Han Solo. He’ll play a decent Han I think (nothing special), it’ll be fine for the movie. Agreeing with you, I’m kinda worried for him if Solo goes south cause he was good in this, and with the right material he could be a great actor.
I believed in Aden since December and he was perfect. He was the teenage Harrison Ford that.pictured.
He's going to be a great Han Solo.
Why couldn't he just acted naturally with, if it were so simple
93hothead hahaha
It's... complicated.
Fixin' to be friendly? Would that it were so simple?
Twer
It's... complicated.
Trippingly
"my teeeth hid it all for East Texas"
one of the best lines.
Vero!!!!
So, the least flawed person in this entire movie, is a woman who dances with fruit on her head for a living?
Yeah, it's a Coen Bros film.
I know this is just actors performing in a movie, but knowing there are people out there who can genuinely keep a date fun and lighthearted like this makes me feel like such a dull bore.
Who's watching this after getting a recommendation for watching videos on Solo?
I watched this because I just watched the film and I wanted to see the scenes again. It was Veronica who brought me here.
WHATT!!!! Friends my foot......
What!?!
Friends my foot hahaha
Who sings that fastened version of "The glory of love" ? ( 1:33 )
I've been searching for that for like a year.
Fastened where? To what?
Ranger Solo
dang it he's cute.
Italian origami

1:18 Bad editing right there
Latinas are amazing

I always end up getting seated next to obnoxious couples like this whenever I go to restaurants.
Wait, so are they actually dating or no? I don’t know.
They're fixin' to be friendly
Kent Jose Mateo Which means they’re on their way to dating or being friends?
@@tigertank06 Dating. that's why the journalist sisters are so interested.
Is he really missing his teeth?
Boy, you are stupid.
