I know plenty of people that are older than me, I'm 56, that still live very active lifestyles doing all the extreme sports and concert going and anything else they want to do. At 56 I still do whatever I want to do. Take care of your body, don't stop moving.

We're going to play for two hours and you'll know the words to every song we play". It was probably the best concert I've been to in 10 years. The whole crowd stood up and sang with their lighters in their hands. HELL YEAH!!!

I was in high school when this song came out ... I loved it but had no idea how true to form it was until ended up dating a stripper for a brief period in my mid 20's ... It was hilarious how true this song was except for her it was her "nightlife" and her "daytime life" no one in her close circle except me at the time and a few of her "work" friends knew about her nightlife .... and during the day she was a straight up soccer mom - it was such a trip to see her two different sides. She was pretty crazy though in the "should be medicated but isn't" way .... it was like dating Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde........Last I heard though she married and moved to the burbs to pursue a career in nursing she seems happy so I'm happy for her .... I always think of her when I hear this song .... probably always will.
This is not a good video, it's a GREAT video. The transition shots are so great. A lot of thought (and trips to the strip club) went into this video. It fits the song so well. Bravo to the director AND to Everclear!

Excellent editing between the past/present, especially how the band's shots are nicely snuck in between. One of the few timeless music videos, even if the music was trash (which it isnt). In a larger picture, as an Everclear fan - she's been given another chance to repeat things and to do it in a better way.
Agreed. I think it's one of the cleverest music videos ever made. The juxtapositions all the way through are brilliant, and together with the lyrics, the visuals create a poignant and insightful picture of a life. And it doesn't hurt that the song itself is great.
The thing is that the "guy in the club" seems to be her later husband as well, another thread between her old life and her new life. If this were real, that would make for awkward discussions. Like what are we gonna tell the children if they ask us how we met each other?

Example: some kid throws it in the face of one of the kids out of spite...thinking it will embarrass them..kids response "she was a dancer, entertainer dumbass. It's s a far leap from main stage at a Gentleman's Club to the street corner your momma walked. Which it is...a very far leap.

Just saw these guys again last night and the show was great. This song live was one of the best pieces they performed all night. Art still enjoys playing this many years later and it's just amazing to see how much fun they still have playing the music they made for fun years ago!
