What a horrible experience, he saw the first crime scene and he hurried to his other relatives house to tell them what happened and he finds out that they're all dead too!!! Just unbelievable, ALL OF it!!!
I don't think they should have even been given the option of not getting the death penalty this was so cold and calculated. The pain they caused this family when they could have went to family court is just immoral.
So it seems the defense is trying to say that there was someone in the murdered family growing weed. That is NO REASON to murder and wipe out over half of someone's family.

In the very beginning the investigators treated this guy and his other sister Bobby Jo as suspects. Had them take lie detector tests, put the gps tracker on his vehicle, interrogated them. He destroyed the gps tracker so they charged him and set his bond at $80,000!!!! Asked both of them “how much were you paid by someone to kill all these people?” So I sure as sh!t hope that they are able to at the very least, get their bond money back! So sad. Have to discover dead bodies and then be treated as the suspect! I can’t imagine the anger he has towards the law enforcement there💔
The police put a GPS tracker on his car without his knowledge, he took it off after finding it, and they charged him with a crime!?! How is that even possible 😳 Why wouldn't he destroy it if no one had his permission or knowledge to place it there. I'd do the same plus call the police. The car is his own property. Such torture to be treated so terribly before any proof of his guilt, since obviously there was none.
Not one person said, "hey, this is a really bad idea. Let's not do this !!! Worst case, the kids wind up with NOBODY to love and protect them". Nobody took any of this into consideration???
What strikes me the most about the Roden family -- more than their socioeconomic status, their appearance, their manner of speaking, their employment status, ANYTHING - is that THEY LOVED ONE ANOTHER. For people wondering why he didn’t get the baby, he I am sure was in shock, and couldn’t imagine the level of fear and sadness he was going threw that morning
He was back with his wife in less than five minutes to get the baby, but then when he went to go back in the house, something told him he shouldn't. The police were there within minutes and the baby was okay. She was checked out and taken to the hospital. He used good sense in not disrupting a crime scene any more than he had.
They asked so many questions that have nothing to do with what happened. They have all this money but can’t have a good mic. All that to agitate him in the beginning and he still stood tall. Get to the point. They dragged this out smh.

Glad this man stood up to the cops and refused to give up his new boots! In a time like that, when families are in such grief the last thing they need is to lose their one source of transportation, his truck. Then wanted to take his brand new boots.
In fairness to the cops ,they were trying to get them to rule out his boots from the other bloody footprints that were left by the perpetrators . Good that they were able to compromise because he needed them and his truck for his work.

Some ppl know the court game (come in your nicest clothes, present & talk like a good citizen) but leave the courthouse & are the scam of society....and then you have ppl who DONT know the court game (wear street clothes & don't know how to present that they are good ppl) but leave the courthouse & are the best of society in their everyday life." I’m shocked and saddened to come across this video. The Mother & Father have/ had a farm where they professionally breed dogs and horses. We purchased our beautiful and smart American Mastiff from them. The Mother, Father and their 2 daughters were some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Prayers for the family’s.

My Pappaw was a logger, like Mr. Manley. We aren't perfect and never will be. No different than anyone else. But we love one another and look after one another. We stick together and have each other's backs, like family is supposed to do. I cannot imagine the horrible pain and suffering this family has endured and are still enduring. Many people forget that little Chris was just a child. People say "they spared the kids." No they didn't spare all of the children. He was still a minor child. That alone is enough for the Wagnors to deserve death. Leaving those babies unattended because youve killed their parents, with no way to know when they'd be found. Pure evil. They're completely unremorseful. I say put them all to death and be done with it.

And now she has NEITHER family. Not a mother nor a father. Plus the other babies who had their parents or mother torn frm them. Not to mention this mans parents who also witnessed this and experienced the loss of all their kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. This is such a horrific tragedy

They have waited a very long time to tell their story and see justice served. I'm sure it's difficult for them but maybe it's also cathartic to be able to tell the world what they've gone through.
In the very beginning the investigators treated this guy and his other sister Bobby Jo as suspects. Had them take lie detector tests, put the gps tracker on his vehicle, interrogated them. He destroyed the gps tracker so they charged him and set his bond at $80,000!!!! Asked both of them “how much were you paid by someone to kill all these people?” So I sure as sh!t hope that they are able to at the very least, get their bond money back! So sad. Have to discover dead bodies and then be treated as the suspect! I can’t imagine the anger he has towards the law enforcement there💔
Sadly this is the process that has to be followed. More times than not it is a family member.
The police put a GPS tracker on his car without his knowledge, he took it off after finding it, and they charged him with a crime!?! How is that even possible 😳 Why wouldn't he destroy it if no one had his permission or knowledge to place it there. I'd do the same plus call the police. The car is his own property. Such torture to be treated so terribly before any proof of his guilt, since obviously there was none.

What strikes me the most about the Roden family -- more than their socioeconomic status, their appearance, their manner of speaking, their employment status, ANYTHING - is that THEY LOVED ONE ANOTHER. No amount of money or status or education or material success can trump that. God bless every surviving member of the Roden blood line. God is watching over them and justice will come for them.

For people wondering why he didn’t get the baby, he I am sure was in shock, and couldn’t imagine the level of fear and sadness he was going threw that morning
Exactly, he must’ve imagined he was next.
He was back with his wife in less than five minutes to get the baby, but then when he went to go back in the house, something told him he shouldn't. The police were there within minutes and the baby was okay. She was checked out and taken to the hospital. He used good sense in not disrupting a crime scene any more than he had.
I just love this young man and respect him so much for being through so much tragedy.

It's so heartbreaking!!! These people were of small means!!! ALL of them lived and worked so closely with one another!!! This had to be just unimaginable, that 8 family members were murdered over the custody of a child!!!

It does sound like they were a tight family, I can’t begin to imagine what they have had to go through, and still are going through. Unlike the family of murdering, evil cowards who are now turning on each other to save their own butt’s. I hope that each and every one of them receive the harshest sentence/punishment the jury can hand down.

Glad this man stood up to the cops and refused to give up his new boots! In a time like that, when families are in such grief the last thing they need is to lose their one source of transportation, his truck. Then wanted to take his brand new boots.
In fairness to the cops ,they were trying to get them to rule out his boots from the other bloody footprints that were left by the perpetrators . Good that they were able to compromise because he needed them and his truck for his work.

You’re absolutely correct, they’re from foothills of Appalachians and my family on both sides are all Appalachian, there will be justice from the court but I can promise 100% there’s going to be swift justice that I can guarantee will make their family members who were murdered pale in comparison as to what’s coming.

I'm from NC and so agree bc I had a roommate in college from OH and she was more country than me!! Big shock to the system to realize it wasn't all South who were country!!😂 and yes. I worked for an attorney who was an ex judge who refused to hear Juvenile Custody cases bc he said "you can't decide in a courtroom who's best for a child til they are 18yrs old. Some ppl know the court game (come in your nicest clothes, present & talk like a good citizen) but leave the courthouse & are the scam of society....and then you have ppl who DONT know the court game (wear street clothes & don't know how to present that they are good ppl) but leave the courthouse & are the best of society in their everyday life."

I’m shocked and saddened to come across this video. The Mother & Father have/ had a farm where they professionally breed dogs and horses. We purchased our beautiful and smart American Mastiff from them. The Mother, Father and their 2 daughters were some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Prayers for the family’s.

This prosecutor is so slow and asks the same questions over & over even when his answers were perfectly clear the first and second time. This trial could go on for years with the Queen of Uhm leading the questioning!
They have to talk slow so the court clerk can transcribe. He seems to mumble because of his nervousness so repeat questions ensures the truth is being told.

My Pappaw was a logger, like Mr. Manley. We aren't perfect and never will be. No different than anyone else. But we love one another and look after one another. We stick together and have each other's backs, like family is supposed to do. I cannot imagine the horrible pain and suffering this family has endured and are still enduring. Many people forget that little Chris was just a child. People say "they spared the kids." No they didn't spare all of the children. He was still a minor child. That alone is enough for the Wagnors to deserve death. Leaving those babies unattended because youve killed their parents, with no way to know when they'd be found. Pure evil. They're completely unremorseful. I say put them all to death and be done with it.
The death penalty is not on the table because the mother and brother confessed with that as one of the conditions the state agreed to . Sad , I know .

Hopefully after this trial there will be a separate one for the abuses the placed them under when they didn't even have suspects. Or maybe they'll just do the right thing by compensating the family for the rights violations and train their officers better before attorneys are involved.
