Wow, this brings back so much memories. When I was growing up I used to watch my parents make pone. I loved how he described how to take a piece n cover it back up with a spoon, lol… Thanks for sharing n keep the family tradition going TNT ❤

Quality assurance!!!🤣
I can't tell the last time I had pone to eat🤔😋, diabetes doesn't allow some of us to eat childhood dessert or snacks because of sugar content, to get the air pockets out you knock it on the work top to get it out, for those who can enjoy it all😋.
❤ ah making one tomorrow please God, my ingredients already waiting in a bowl. that's my Easter snack
That looks really delicious.😋
Baby Creamy is so adorable.

Maaannn , what kind of blasphemy is that? I love the traditional pone . For me, egg, and mixed peel is a no no. The raisins are okay but good looking pone though!!

Lovely video❤
Every family have their own special recipe and yours look very good. My family on both sides used cassava, pumpkin, grated coconut and a small tania or eddo plus brown sugar,a pinch of black pepper, salt butter and all the spices that you used to make this version
Sugar was expensive, so pumpkin and grated coconut added sweetness to the mixture. I suspect the small tania or eddo was used to bind the starch of the cassava with the other ingredients.
When next in Trinidad, I have to purchase some of your products. I really need to taste pone with eggs and sweet potatoes. If you have been making it since childhood, then you know that there is no harm in keeping to what works for you and your business
Good luck in all that you are doing and all that you will be doing. I think Tobago makes a different type to ours, but on TV it looks just as delicious.
Pone with eggs is not a usual ingredient in Trinidad pones. I think it is used in Barbados.
Well done God bless
Looks delicious
Thos is the way my grandmother taught us to make pone no short cut quality awesome pine using that tin grater with two strip wood on the side of the grayer dangerous tool
WOOOOW
No eggs. More raisins. Lil more liquid. I prefer water to milk. I leave out de pumpkin and black pepper
Coconut milk for me, a lil drizzle, crushed pineapple too.
Blessings
Big up Jones

Never seen pone like this before. The egg threw me off.
Yummy ⚘️.
I 👍 with all yo say😊🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
I don't know the origin of this dish but we also make it in Puerto Rico. We do know in Puerto Rico it was made by African slaves and cooked on banana leaves. We still eat it today sometimes with a pie crust or traditional cooked in banana leaves. We call it Cazuela.
More recipes please
Could we get the written recipe pse. Tks
