One of the major issues I had with guarding my heart is my own thoughts. Today I've learnt that I can control my thoughts and guard my heart against myself. My catching every evil and perverse thought that is opposes to God's word and cast it down immediately.
I love that you mentioned about choosing the right "environment ." Quite recently I began to have feelings for someone I was never interested in and I'm not ready for marriage but I realise the more I was around him the feelings didn't change. I was fasting, praying and using all the scriptures I knew to help me overcome. My friends told me it's natural and since we mainly spend time after church in church singing and writing songs I thought it was the will of GOD. However, I decided to listen to the voice of an experienced adult who encouraged me to stay away from him as much as I can. So I did that and I feel so much better. At that time all I needed was to turn. Sometimes prayer alone will not work one has to turn and since then I'm overcoming daily. That's not all... I wasn't guarding my heart I had a lot of junk in my mind that needed to go from past relationships. So his topic is my new prayer point. Thanks for sharing on this sis.
Amen. Loving God with all of our hearts changes everything we once loved. I ask for your prayers in this area. That I always love God more than anything.🙏🏽
Amen. We can't just only feed our body with healthy foods. Ours souls also need to be healthy fed with things we are watching, listening, reading and our environments. Let's truly guard our minds, hearts and souls.
These are my current issues. I take a while to open up to new people and slow to let them into my life until they prove I can trust them. Also generally close myself off to workers although it's not safe (gossip spreaders and I'm a private person).
This was great! Going through my current wilderness season, I’ve definitely had to be extremely careful of controlling my own thoughts. I’ve had moments here and there where I’ve allowed myself to dwell too long in a negative space but I thank God that I have the Holy Spirit on the inside of me to remind me of of His Word and bring scripture back to my remembrance so I can cast those thoughts down, bind them up and make them line up with the obedience of Christ. I have been drawing a lot closer to Jesus and I know I need Him, but I have felt I needed something in particular and I’ve realized I need to guard my heart, I’ve been so open to allowing things into my life that are taking everything out of me and I’ve found myself not enjoying anything because it isn’t Christ like

God has sent me in a room FULL of fleshly people and used me to give a powerful word. It was well received. God uses us in diff ways and u are absolutely right and had to be vigilant because it is easy to get sucked in but when u have a mission to do I dont mind going into fleshly areas
Thanks for sharing. I prayed and prayed for God to help me stop smoking pot. It was hard and I knew it would be hard for me to do by myself. Well I got sick and had to have a blood transfusion. I’m doing fine. But I was put on medication where I can’t mix with pot the risk are stroke heart attack or blot clots. Once I thought about it I cried like thank you Lord. I pray about my drinking too I used to have 2-3 beers a day. I may have one beer occasionally now like once every 2-3 weeks. Still praying. I stopped having sex too because I’m not married. I listen to gospel music every morning on my way to work. I pray every morning and night. I’m in my pruning season . I try not to hang out with anyone. I’m learning to guard my thoughts to from negativity. Soon as I start having a negative thought I pray to the lord to Change my thoughts and cast down all negativity. I listen to a lot of motivational videos as well as inspirational videos. I read my bible but not enough. I’m working on spending more time with the lord. I’m about to watch your video titled how to spend more time with God 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

It's like being a kid again, we used to watch movies and, every time something bad pops up my dad will get his hands and cover my eyes, and also he will tell me to stay away from bad people, or I will cover my ears so I won't listen to bad things.
