I don’t climb but I love watching climbing videos. I watched the Dawn Wall (excellent) and Alex Honnold’s Free Solo movie. Also excellent. Now I’m watching these UA-cam videos, mostly. I think Hazel is really good! I love the mental planning the climbers put in. It’s so cool that people get paid to do sports like this. Love it. Keep up the great work! Thanks for the inspiration you and other climbers have given me, in my life, and be careful up there! ❤️
Excellent job Hazel! Your endurance is incredible! I was so worried you would fall while your hands were still stuck in the crack and get seriously injured.
Different sized hands makes all the difference for these sorts cracks. I’m no where near those twos level but I’d wager I’d have a better chance at this than a slightly bigger 5.13 since my hands are a tad larger
They're called camelots, aka cams or 'friends'. It's a really nifty piece of gear that spreads farther apart the more load is put on it. Also, really expensive stuff unfortunately.
Note to Climbing Filmmakers - can I have a highly visually interesting climbing compilation video with no cussing and minimal talking (or basic instructional dialogue). Maybe just chillhop-type soundtrack so I can play it in my elementary classroom when we need to chill out at the end of the day. Thx
