The Blue Box subreddits have gone full “Alex Jones conspiracy” psycho, they cream their pants whenever Kojima tweets anything. The mods are just as insane.
I just realized they removed the buy option because everybody was refunding the game. If this does turn out to be a scam, this is definitely not going to end well for Blue Box (Obviously). On one end, this situation is likely going to reveal that any game developer(s) skilled / talented enough to create a good enough looking game with the intent of robbing people's money can pass Sony's likely VERY strict verification process for games to showcase during their live events. and can easily loophole their way to the top, which if this being a scam is true. Sony would likely have to rework their verification process (Or just do a typical Sony move) to prevent this from happening again because of the backlash they would almost guaranteed get. On the other, Blue Box would most likely have to erase their entire internet presence and delete all of their social media accounts and so on. because of the 100% HEAVY backlash if this is a scam. It could also explain why "Hasan Kahrahmen" is using a most likely fake alias as he could easily ditch out along with the company with possibly nobody knowing his actual name making it easy to grab-and-go people's money. without being name traced. Even after all of this, i'm still stuck in the middle hoping this is legit but also losing my faith in this game as well, because scamming or trolling gamers and fans on this scale is so unbelievably risky and stupid this situation is basically playing Russian roulette with the whole cylinder filled praying the gun jams.

Blue Box’s track record from 2015 lines up with the hype from P.T. It’s likely they started a project in 2015, but have repeatedly come short on their promises. So what it looks like to me, is that they are repeatedly trying to go off the hype for Hideo Kojima games just to stay relevant. Since they “accidentally” teased Silent Hill and Metal Gear, and started development on horror games less than a quarter of a year after P.T. came out.
Sony probably doesn't want their name anywhere near this pile of trash, if they never tweet about it there's no way they show up in a google search related to it

Now he's building hype like most game makers try to build lore. If a game *does* come out, I'll judge it on its own merits, the walking clip at least looks more professional than any of this nonsense behavior. But the marketing? Pure nonsense.

everyone has fallen for a scam at some point. I'm glad I did in my youth when I didnt have money. I have not fallen for a scam as an adult and never will. except cyberpunk, that was more dissapoint than scam maybe, still feel scammed.
He is starting to annoy me as time goes on as I've started to notice that he never reports on things that are somewhat relevant to him. I first noticed this a few years ago when there was a very BIG controversy around Death Stranding getting a perfect 10/10 from Famitsu magazine(which is very, very rare) and coincidentally a executive from Famtsu just so happened to included in the game. A lot of Japanese gamers were angry over this seemingly conflict of interest and it was a big deal at he time. So what did YongYea who was all aboard the Death Stranding and Hideo Kojima train at the time do? He just...never reported on it. Not a single word. More recently an even bigger one happened. It came to light that games "journalist" Jason Schreier has had multiple employees from Blizzard come to him about the workplace conditions and harassment for years now and Jason never reported on it. He sat on this massive issue for years until it was "safe" to report on it after the lawsuit from California. People of course rightfully called him out for this and Jason insulted and belittled everyone for doing so. Saying how he didn't report on it because he doesn't report on rumors despite the fact that he has a long history of reporting gaming rumors for years(Fallout rumors, Switch news, etc. just the other day he was throwing shit at a company for having too many white guys.) and when people again called him out on this BS Jason called them a bunch of "gamergaters" and blocked everyone who didn't praise him. So Yong who has been covering the Blizzard situation for a while now, who has in multiple videos rightfully called out Blizzard executives(even ones not directly involved) for not doing enough or not speaking out about the situation what does he do about the Jason Schreier thing? Nothing. He has once again just not said a word about it. Also of note is that Jason and Yong just so happen to be mutuals on Twitter and Yong is a major fan of citing Jason in his videos wherever possible(Even when Jason is just parroting something someone else already said). Are these things connected? You decide. Yong has started to come across as very scummy and I don't like it.

He’ll never cover a story that isn’t an easy moral high ground, and he’ll never pass up an opportunity to suck off certain developers (CDPR, Kojima, etc). There's also the fact that several studios who have worked on AAA games are shown to be helping with development as well. Check Night Mind's video on it, he deep dives into the whole conspiracy. I personally believe it's a bunch of bull but there is some merit to the theories.
@@Zepumpkineater Life of Black Tiger got put up on the official playstation account.

On the other hand, the game "The Hauntings" (note the plural as a differentiator), is shaping up to be really good. The dev livestreams a lot of his work and communicates openly with the community. I'm personally looking forward to it.
I doubt that very much.

"Mom, can we have Star Citizen?"
"We have Star Citizen at home."
Star Citizen at home:
"Did you hear about the Metal Gear Solid rumours?!"
MGS fans: "There's been rumours floating around for decades, fuck off"
If this does turn out to be a scam, this is definitely not going to end well for Blue Box (Obviously).
On one end, this situation is likely going to reveal that any game developer(s) skilled / talented enough to create a good enough
looking game with the intent of robbing people's money can pass Sony's likely VERY strict verification process for games to showcase during their live events.
and can easily loophole their way to the top, which if this being a scam is true.
It could also explain why "Hasan Kahrahmen" is using a most likely fake alias
as he could easily ditch out along with the company with possibly nobody knowing his actual name making it easy to grab-and-go people's money.
without being name traced.

The fact the game is called “abandoned” is the most on the nose comedy in the gaming industry
Just like when BioWare made Anthem and had the story about the creators abandoning their creation before it was finished and then BioWare abandoned Anthem before it was finished.
The irony of Yong Yea getting upset at someone drawing something out when he notoriously stretches 2 minutes of news into a 10-20 minute video.
I like the idea that for some reason, Kajima is just messing with people by hinting at a silent hill or metal gear game and then just bullying them with these trailers
I watch Yong on a normal basis, he's a good person who really tries to see the good in things most of the time, while still reporting gaming news accurately
Except when it’s Destiny.
my man critikal watching the yongyea, love to see it
Blue Box’s track record from 2015 lines up with the hype from P.T. It’s likely they started a project in 2015, but have repeatedly come short on their promises. So what it looks like to me, is that they are repeatedly trying to go off the hype for Hideo Kojima games just to stay relevant. Since they “accidentally” teased Silent Hill and Metal Gear, and started development on horror games less than a quarter of a year after P.T. came out.

Now he's building hype like most game makers try to build lore. If a game *does* come out, I'll judge it on its own merits, the walking clip at least looks more professional than any of this nonsense behavior. But the marketing? Pure nonsense.
Hideo, or 秀夫 does not mean hero in Japanese.

when I saw blue box I thought that it was the subscription that sends your food like every week to cook
Oh hey its Yong Yea. I like his stuff he breaks it down so that even idiots like me can understand what he's talking about lmao
@@JJAB91 well damn. Didn't know any of that. I don't really follow gaming news all that closely and liked him cuz he would give backstory to the situation. Didn't know he was leaving all that shit out :/

@@JJAB91 yong is a mouthpiece. I keep following him because he puts the full story in the title so I don’t even have to watch, and he’s good for keeping track of big stories, but if you consider him an unbiased source, comprehensive in coverage, or give his personal opinions any credit, you’re going about it wrong. He’ll never cover a story that isn’t an easy moral high ground, and he’ll never pass up an opportunity to suck off certain developers (CDPR, Kojima, etc). He’s already dropped the Blizzard story despite continued developments just because videos on the topic stopped getting as many clicks.
@@keenices1972 it’s because he’s routinely artificial. He plays it way too safe and never says anything that isn’t already popular to say. It means after a while he becomes predictably artificial in that way “advertiser friendly” types are, which will give uncanny vibes even if you don’t recognize exactly why.
