When I watch these episodes I always feel that the parents sending their children to these homes, should also be receiving “schooling” during the time their children are gone!!!

Yeah I think Penny (the mom) was able to spin it really well by latching on the that line Jackie's parents wrote about working together. The way she spun her parents words into more like "working together, like we did this week, will help build relationships", which would probably work. She gives good advice.

I think part of the reason for that is that he had said he had wanted to enter the military. And when he's in the military that will be required of him. So I think they were doing that to try and set him up for success in the military.

This couple were strict, but really kind as well. So sorry for the mother who still regrets the last words she ever said to her dad. My word to her is this: her dad would totally forgive her..he understood that things were messed up between them, he would not take it to heart. I hope she forgives herself.
These kids don't realize how lucky they are to still have both of their parents. Kids need to treat their parents with respect & not take their parents for granted. Honestly some of the parents on this show are over the top strict. The only times they talk to their children is to lay down the law and that would be damaging to the child’s mental health and I feel so sorry for these kids. No one should have those type of parents
