@@MaliciousSRT The other car had a problem at the start. Both of these cars were capable of 5s, as most promods are. There are some 2jz Supras and R33 GT-Rs in the 5s too.

I was basically raised at the drag strip, and I have never seen a car launch so smooth as butter and then pull it's wheels almost halfway down the track. That's crazy

That ‘stang is one gorgeous car for sure! It’s a Procharged car and runs consistent low 6’s. He must have felt like he was tied to a stump when Vixen went flying by him right at the stripe.

bubba wubba i was going to say one of two things, the mustang needed less mph to compensate for the hp and grip, challenger is heavier so the grip is there already, and all he needed was a crap ton of top end power, im not saying thats what happened thats just my opinion

I mean it’s kinda a hellcat but it’s mostly a promod, admittedly still shaped like a brick, but does have a 528 billet hemi, that’s like the cobalt Chevy bodied promods calling them a cobalt is accurate but, not really a cobalt.

a 5.98 in the 1/4 is roughly a 3.71 to the 1/8th(660ft). It is a turbo car which is generally a little slower down low but i imagine the Bruders aren't far off that number to the 1/8th. The promod record in PDRA for a boosted car is 3.60 and a NOS car used to be Halsey with a 3.61 so that buts Vixen a tenth behind but with a 1/4 mile tune...Buster isnt coming close to any of that. The car is fast but prob closer to 4.1x fast
#Yokes27 - Not sure where you are getting your numbers from. No way a 5.98 1/4 miles equals a 5.71 1/8th. Using standard factors it is more like a 5.83. Vixen is a total second half car as you accurately point out so my guess is he probably ran more like 5.85 - 5,90 on that run. Especially when you look at his big top end MPH..

Aerodynamics of a brick
It's not as bad as you think. They're in the .350-.0370 range w/o wing.
Which is about the same as 99 mustang, 2010 Lexus GX or for instance 1978 280z that comes in at .385. Many cars used in drag racing are in the .330 or higher range without a racing rear spoiler. Shit a C6 is .34 but mostly because of downforce but it's still requires the same hp to over come it.
