- If you have not seen this car on the internet this is your chance! The worlds first Dodge Hellcat swapped NB Mazda Miata stopped by the shop to get a tune.
We first saw this car at Cleetus and Cars back in April of 2019 and were super excited to hear from Karr and get him hooked up with a tune. Getting to take this crazy car out for a test drive was a blast!

Hellcat engine is only 220lb heavier than the stock Miata engine. Weight distribution is only off by a few %.
Damn everyone thinks it’s heavy as fuck.... still a pushrod engine boys. Simple American small block with a blower. Not massive/heavy asf. The car it comes in originally just happens to be a heavyass boat. The hellcrate is 400lb. It’d be like having a bigger passenger under the hood, not enough to throw it totally off.

Probably gets much better MPG than a stock hell cat with half the car weight lol might even be able to get 30 mpg just cruising really slow on the highway with that weight.
You’d be surprised. I get 24-26 mpg on the highway cruising at 75-85 on the highway in 8th gear.
Hellcat gets like 30mpg highway. My 4.0 Tacoma gets like 10 at most. I got some exhaust leaks at the moment though

Idk if I'd say that. If you look at some of the tinfoil contraptions people put airplane motors in after each World War, it seems like THE original racing tradition. That's exactly what a T-bucket hot rod was. Take the lightest thing with wheels and a frame, and drop in the baddest motor you can afford.

It doesn't matter even it has a stock hellcat engine because even the stock churns out 707 hp which is more than enough for a Miata!!!.......what a power to weight ratio!!!

I was telling Karr that it should be hitting somewhere around 690whp. I put the first hellcrate motor in Canada in My 1970 Datsun 240z last year. We are taking our time with this full build though.

Fuel economy measured in gallons per mile instead of miles per gallon lol. I was watching this video today and it pulled up on the VIN line right next to me at the DMV... That was quite a surprise! Great group of guys that were with the car. This car is completely stupid...in a really cool way! Great work. I would have never thought to put the exhaust pipes out the front bumper but, nonetheless, it goes 0 to 150 in like 6 seconds so it works!
It's on the Barrett-Jackson auction starting today for anyone that wants to buy it (a little free advertising for a great group of guys).
